CCXXXI. New Marriage Victory

Liszt crushed the sunstone with his foot.

Jeremy raised a large swath of snow with his scimitar to continue obstructing his vision.

He had discovered the pattern: he had to get up-close to deliver a fatal strike; those strange ghostly apparitions were too terrifying, almost unsolvable.

Jeremy drew a small knife and, taking advantage of Liszt being blinded, thrust it towards Liszt's throat from a blind spot.

But Liszt's combat experience was immensely rich; he sensed the direction of the attack through the swirling wind and snow and dodged the vital point.

Crack!

The knife pierced directly above his chest. Jeremy, having escaped death many times himself, used all his strength to slice towards Liszt's lungs and heart, blood gushing out like a flood.

Liszt...

Was short on time.

Two blood-red misty arms pressed down on Jeremy's head, popping it like a balloon.
