Already Turned

"I need help. "

"I know, " Elliot smiled, "What I didn't know is that you would as for it. "

Jaden was too exhausted to argue. Actually, he was even too exhausted to continue standing and before he knew it he was falling.

Elliot gave him support before he could fall. "What happened to you?"

"Nothing important. Can I spend the night at your place?" Jaden asked.

Elliot raised a brow. He wanted to ask why but then he remembered Rylan telling him about Jaden's father.

"Okay," Elliot answered. Before he could continue speaking, Jaden's body went limp. He looked at the man whose head was on his shoulder and his eyes were tightly shut.

Surprisingly, he wasn't heavy at all. His face was really close to his.

They were breathing the same air.

There was also a strong scent coming from Jaden, the smell of strawberries. He didn't know why or how but something in him told him it was an omega's scent.

Something in him stirred, he felt a strong urge to do something to the person in his arms. He could hold back but for how long? Suddenly, he regretted the decision to let him stay.

Finally, he snapped back to reality. They were outside a store he had just left and it was starting to get too cold. Jaden was shivering.

He sighed and left with no other option, lifted Jaden off the ground. Inwardly, he told himself it was just a one time thing. It was because there was no other option, Jaden wasn't waking up and he was so easy to carry.

He took the man to his car and laid him in the backseat. His arms felt the immediate emptiness, but he ignored it.

He got into the driver's seat and drove to his place. The book Rylan gave him came to mind, alphas, omegas, betas... Were they really real? If they were then what did it mean? He was almost sure he was an alpha but what did it mean.

"Rylan, he should know, " He whispered. The one who gave him the book was sure to know.

....

Rylan adjusted his suit as he walked to his office. He was feeling particularly happy that day. The reason being Wade of course. That morning, when they woke up in the car, Wade was a morning mess, his hair was everywhere, clothes a mess for some reason and eyes of a ghost. It was hilarious especially because Rylan looked as elegant as always.

The lynx smiled again as he opened the door. His smile was short lived because in the next second a strong wave of pheromones filled his nose.

Oh no.

He quickly closed the door. His eyes landed on the familiar figure of his assistant, Elliot.

"Rylan... " Elliot glanced at him seemingly unaware of the strong scent coming from him. There was something strange though. The smell, it didn't belong to an omega at all.

Rylan raised an eyebrow, was Elliot an alpha? But how?

He slapped himself in his head. Wasn't it him who always said that no one should judge a book by its cover? Actually, he was even a living example of it.

"Elliot... Ha ha," He laughed awkwardly and walked to his seat.

"I need to ask you something," Elliot spoke with a serious glint in his eyes.

But there was a problem. Elliot was releasing a lot of alpha pheromones, a normal omega would be drunk by now. An alpha would have attacked. But Rylan, he was none of those.

A lynx is naturally attracted to all genders which meant that all pheromones could trigger their desires.

While omega pheromones could drive an alpha crazy, alpha pheromones could do the same to lynxes. And while Rylan was really good at controlling himself, there were certain things he couldn't hold in for long.

"I'm sorry Elliot, I need to go," Rylan stood when he felt his control slipping.

"Wait," Elliot held his sleeve, his skin coming into contact with his. Rylan took in a sharp breath.

"Did you read the book I gave you? " Rylan asked, his voice different.

"I told you, I did," Elliot answered as he carefully looked at Rylan.

"You should know what you are right?"

"Yes."

"And that you're releasing a lot of pheromones, you don't know how to control them yet."

"Yeah."

"Well, my dear Elliot, you should know that I'm an omega. So please, let me leave."

"Huh?" Elliot let go of the sleeve, "You're one of them too? But... "

"I'll explain later. First, I'll ask someone to teach you how to control your scent. I can't stay here much longer."

Rylan left.

Elliot gulped, realizing the seriousness of the matter. Rylan seemed really affected by him, so much that it scared him. It was a look he never thought he would see on Rylan.

What about Jaden? Was he also struggling? Who would teach him? He tried calling Rylan but he didn't pick up.

Rylan didn't pick up the phone because he was trying to calm down. He was inside his car, clutching his steering wheel as he breathed in and out.

He was sure his eyes had changed colour at that time. Maybe if Wade was there, he would have confirmed that he was indeed not an omega.

He closed his eyes and opened them, making his pitch black eyes turn back to normal.

He then took out his phone, no time to waste. He didn't think Elliot would turn so fast. He also didn't think the pheromones would affect him that much.

Actually, he had never been in the presence of so much alpha pheromones. If that was only a human, then what about wolf's?

First, he read a text from Jaden. He was telling him something about being weak suddenly. At first, he didn't think much of it until Elliot sent a text.

[I think Jaden's one of them too. An omega, I think... ]

Panic settled in Rylan's heart. Why were his two closest friends suddenly turning? And they were both turning into people he couldn't go near to.

There was a limited number of people he could call friends and he called the last one in mind.

"Wade, I need your help."
