Chapter 313: Martial Arts Pavilion

Chapter 313: Martial Arts Pavilion

Following the intense duel between Lin Langtian and Zhang Hao, the Fire Division had officially gained a new chief disciple. News of this event was bound to stir up some excitement within Yuan Gate, as it was practically unheard of for a new disciple, after less than a month in the sect, to attain the status of chief disciple within a division.

As Lin Langtian and his companions left, the buzz surrounding his achievement gradually dissipated, and disciples around the Fire River departed, each with their own thoughts. They all knew that from now on, everyone in Yuan Gate would know of Lin Langtian, the extraordinary newcomer of the Fire Division.

The next morning.

Creaaak!

Lin Langtian pushed open his door, stepping out into the bright sunlight, which warmly enveloped him. He squinted slightly, then opened his eyes fully, glancing around his energy-rich surroundings with a faint smile. He had to admit, Yuan Gate was indeed an impressive place.

As a chief disciple, Lin Langtian enjoyed certain privileges, like his current living quarters—a private mountain peak. Since he was the only one on this peak, the area was quiet and peaceful.

"Good morning, Brother Langtian."

As Lin Langtian enjoyed this rare moment of tranquility, a respectful voice called out, catching his attention. Turning, he saw a Fire Division disciple dressed in the sect's uniform approaching him.

The disciple looked slightly older than Lin Langtian, yet his gaze was filled with respect.

"Brother Lin Langtian, under orders from Master Division Head, I'm here to escort you to the Fire Division's Martial Arts Pavilion, where you may study The Emperor Flame Manual and other top Fire Division techniques."

Though this disciple had been in the sect longer than Lin Langtian, Yuan Gate's strict hierarchy meant that Lin Langtian's new status as chief disciple required others to treat him with respect. Besides, Lin Langtian's power was already widely known in the Fire Division; anyone ranked below chief disciple would likely call him "Brother" now.

Just a year ago, Lin Langtian had been the young master of a mere low-level clan, but now, only a year later, he was a chief disciple of Yuan Gate, the foremost sect, admired by thousands in the Fire Division. Such a rise in fortune was truly astounding.

"Oh, the Martial Arts Pavilion, and The Emperor Flame Manual…" Lin Langtian's eyes lit up at the mention.

Currently, aside from a few trump cards he was hesitant to reveal, his most powerful techniques were the two martial arts skills he had already mastered. Although they were strong, they were quite common in Yuan Gate, this supreme sect. Without his unique fusion power, he'd likely stand no chance against Yuan Gate's top talents.

Now, with a chance to access the Fire Division's Martial Arts Pavilion and possibly master The Emperor Flame Manual, Lin Langtian couldn't help but feel thrilled. Especially since The Emperor Flame Manual alone, even with Zhang Hao having only scratched its surface, had displayed impressive power. Lin Langtian's own mastery of the Vermillion Bird Flame would enhance the manual's power even further, potentially allowing him to contend with the elite Three Emperor Manuals of Yuan Gate's top three disciples.

"Very well, lead the way," Lin Langtian replied with a nod.

"Yes, please follow me, Brother," the disciple said respectfully. Without further delay, he leapt into the air, heading toward the Fire Division's center.

Lin Langtian quickly followed.

The Fire Division was expansive, its skyline dominated by dozens of massive volcanoes, towering high into the clouds with heat radiating like fiery dragons. From some mountainsides, the sounds of disciples training could be heard, filling the skies with vigorous energy.

After roughly ten minutes of flying, they landed on a large volcano near the Fire Division's center. On the mountainside, there was a vast, ancient pavilion surrounded by weathered stone paths that wound throughout the mountain.

Numerous Fire Division disciples were passing by, but when they saw Lin Langtian, they stepped aside, some casting curious glances in his direction. As a chief disciple, Lin Langtian was a well-known figure in the Fire Division now. Though he had been in Yuan Gate for less than a month, his title alone commanded respect among the other disciples.

Lin Langtian's expression remained calm. Having been a central figure in his clan, he was used to such attention, and it didn't bother him at all. After briefly conversing, the disciple who had guided him took his leave.

Lin Langtian then walked toward the towering pavilion without hesitation.

As he approached, he could sense the grandeur of the pavilion. Time had left its mark on the building, giving it an even deeper sense of history and tradition.

Such a place symbolized the legacy and foundation of a great sect.

Lin Langtian looked at the pavilion with eager eyes. He was genuinely curious about the advanced martial arts of such a powerful sect.

Lowering his gaze, Lin Langtian focused on the entrance, his eyes narrowing slightly. At the entrance were two elderly guards with closed eyes, exuding an aura no weaker than that of Fen Cang, the Fire Division's leader.

"Two Great Sage-level experts…" Lin Langtian thought, feeling the intensity of their presence. The seemingly unassuming Martial Arts Pavilion was guarded by such powerful figures.

It made sense; the Martial Arts Pavilion held the core techniques of the Fire Division. If any of these techniques leaked, even Fen Cang would be held accountable. In all major sects, the Martial Arts Pavilions were likely the most heavily guarded places.

"Disciple Lin Langtian, under orders from the Division Head, I am here to study the martial arts of the Fire Division," Lin Langtian said respectfully, bowing to the two elders.

"Oh, Lin Langtian… the new disciple who became a chief disciple in less than half a month…" the elder on the left muttered, opening his cold, penetrating eyes.

Under his gaze, Lin Langtian felt a chill, but he quickly steadied himself. In Yuan Gate, he had encountered many formidable people, so he was already accustomed to it.

"Enter. As a chief disciple, you are qualified to study The Emperor Flame Manual. You'll find it in the deepest part of the pavilion. However, whether or not you can grasp it, you may only remain inside for a maximum of one month," the elder on the right said in a raspy voice. As he finished speaking, the tightly closed pavilion doors creaked open.

Seeing this, Lin Langtian nodded, wasting no time in stepping through the doors into the pavilion…
