"Your Highness," Xie Jin hastily stood up, bowed and said, "I was unaware this place belonged to you, Your Highness. I entered without realizing, and for that, please forgive my foolishness. I will leave immediately."
"Can you stay and talk with me for a while?"
Xie Jin had barely walked a few steps when he was stopped by Princess Water's request. He turned around to face the desolate-looking Princess.
To be honest, Xie Jin did not want to stay because the Princess was about to marry the Great Emperor. Even though there was nothing untoward about him being there, it would not look good to others.
Yet, Xie Jin was always a compassionate man, and seeing such a beautiful woman looking so distressed, he found it even harder to refuse.
Xie Jin returned to his seat opposite Princess Water. "Is there something you wish to speak about, Your Highness?"
"What if I said that I do not want to marry the Great Emperor? Would you be willing to listen to that?"
