Beginning - Ark Chase

25 years after the escape day

Amidst the crowded market, Beyom Odjin was moving lightly like a shadow gliding among the people, trying to disappear from sight while maintaining his calm movements. The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of bargaining and the looks of curious people, but Beyom seemed to have the keys to disappearing amidst this noise. Suddenly, he spotted a rich man contemplating his merchandise, and his eyes caught the wallet hanging from the pocket of his expensive coat. Beyom approached quietly, like a wolf watching its prey, and in the blink of an eye, he pulled out the wallet lightly, without the man realizing or anyone noticing.

But a homeless child, standing not far away with sharp eyes, caught the scene, and a sense of defiance shone within him. He followed Beyom lightly, until he reached a narrow alley far from the noise of the market. The atmosphere here was dim, filled with a deep sense of mystery and danger, as if this place held secrets that no one dared to reveal. The child stopped in front of Beyom, his eyes staring with a gleam full of boldness that seemed larger than his size.

Child (in a loud, defiant voice): "Hey, you arrogant bastard! Give the man back his wallet. You have no right to take what is not yours."

A wry smile spread across Beyom's face, reflecting a dark indifference, while the atmosphere around him was clouded with a cold, darkening feeling.

One day (laughing mockingly, his eyes narrowing sharply): "Huh, do you think I'll give it back? Get out of my sight before I make you regret it and forget how to walk on your own two feet."

But the child did not back down, but rather became more defiant, holding his fists firmly as if standing before an opponent despite the clear difference in strength.

The child (with a more serious expression): "I would have stolen it if you hadn't run after me, you bastard!"

Beyom was surprised, but he didn't show it. Suddenly, the child attacked him with quick, precise movements, showing unexpected skill. But Beyom didn't budge from his spot, dodging the blows with a sarcastic smile, as if watching a ridiculous show.

The child (screaming and attacking nervously): "Haha, you'll be killed soon, I'm from the tramp gang and you won't survive!"

At that moment, Beom's laughter died down, replaced by a cold look and a cruel smile that was colder than the surrounding atmosphere, and a dark aura spread around him like the shadow of death.

Bye-bye (in a cold voice as he skillfully dodged attacks): "And I am from the Odgen family."

When he said the word "Odjin" one day, the child felt a subtle shiver, as if the atmosphere had become stifling, as cold as the harsh breath of winter. In the blink of an eye, the child's life had ended, as he became a motionless mass on the ground, as dark shadows surrounded him, in a silent pool of blood.

Elsewhere, Annie was talking on her phone in a quiet voice that hid a sincere longing behind it.

Annie (softly): "Where are you? I missed you. When are you coming?"

On the other end, Akai's voice came in a cold, preoccupied tone.

Akai: "I'm busy now. I'll come later, bye."

The atmosphere seemed to have an aura of coldness surrounding his words, hiding his isolation from the world, and Annie let out a quiet sigh, as if she knew that the answer would be nothing but an echo of the emptiness Akai was living in.

In a large hall filled with official members, voices rose and the atmosphere became tense like discordant columns, each voice carrying within it a feeling of anxiety and fear, so the place became a charged mass waiting for the spark of an explosion.

Councilman (angry voice): "We are tired of this problem being repeated, but the Interior Ministry wants a solution to this series of crimes led by the Odgen family."

Another member (angrily): "Odgen? Odgen! The world must intervene now, every wrong step could lead to a tragedy like the one we witnessed in England." (The massacre of England!!???)

Everyone turned to Akai who sat silently, an aura of defiant coldness emanating from him, as if his presence alone sent shivers through their hearts.

Councilman (addressing Akai, in an accusing tone): "You, Akai, have been silent for 25 years... It seems you are under contract with Odgen."

Akai smiled, a sarcastic, indifferent expression on his face, as if the man's words had never touched him.

Akai (coldly, his voice filled with cold confidence): "Let's be realistic, the Odjin now are not what they were 25 years ago. Back then they were just a humble family, and today… they are the most powerful family in the world. Sacrificing any member of the intervention squad now is like sending them to their death."

Council Member (increasingly agitated): "Thousands are dying every day, and you refuse to take the risk? The intervention units must be dispersed for this mission."

Akai (with an imperious calm): "Okay, I'll assign the Morris squad, but remember that the results may be clear by now." Then he slowly leaves the council, leaving behind a heavy silence as if his words had paralyzed everyone.

In a closed auction, Chai Odgen was sitting in front of the door with a calm expression, his eyes drowning in old memories, from which a calm nostalgic look shone as he recalled his first meeting with Annie. The world around him was pulsating with noise, but his aura added a dangerous serenity that distinguished him as a professional killer who did not care about his surroundings, determined to complete his next mission.

There were six guards in front of the door like a solid dam, and when the gang that had hired him to do the job approached, one of them stood up and addressed Chai.

Chai (calmly and confidently): "Come in a second after me."

Gang member: "We're counting on you."

In a flash, faster than the naked eye, Chai took off towards the auction, leaving behind a trail that resembled a mysterious cloud. Even the surveillance cameras did not capture it, as if his presence was just a passing breeze. The gang followed his footsteps moments later, only to find the guards standing still, as if they were asleep, but the truth soon revealed itself to them, they had been slaughtered, and with the eleon threads (Chai's method), Chai made them appear alive for a moment, before they fell like lifeless dolls.
