The Abyss Beckons

The group pressed onward, their steps heavy with exhaustion but driven by an unyielding sense of purpose. The destruction of the second monolith had taken its toll—physically and emotionally—but there was no time to rest. Selene led them through the winding forest paths, her sharp eyes scanning for threats as she recounted the location of the next monolith.

"It's deeper into the badlands," Selene said, her voice low. "A canyon known as the Abyss. It's treacherous terrain, and the Shadow's forces will be waiting."

"Great," Caleb muttered, tightening his grip on his rifle. "Because this wasn't hard enough already."

Finn adjusted his pack, his fingers fumbling over the straps. "Are we even sure destroying all the monoliths will stop him? What if this just makes things worse?"

Selene stopped and turned to face him, her expression unreadable. "It's the only chance we have. The monoliths are the source of his power. Without them, he's vulnerable."
