Alaric back home.

Standing in front of the cocoon, Alaric observed the scene before him in a calm manner.

The girls were more than shocked to see him. Their eyes bubbled up as if about to be in tears.

Ava was no exception; her lips trembled, trying to form words, but her heart could not let her.

Was this real?

Is Alaric really the one she sees right now?

With a smile on her face, Laura uttered—

"Welcome back, Master; we have been waiting for your return."

Then she fell to her knees, as did the rest.

Alaric didn't say a word; instead, he focused his attention on the goddess of death who was staring back at him.

"You woke up earlier than I expected. I guess it's expected from someone like you. Even if I had not released your soul, it would still pose a problem for me later on. So you need not thank me."

She spoke ever so stoically.

"Where is she?" Alaric asked, almost as if he was asking himself that question.
