The heat of Caspian was tangible behind her, his torso solid against her back, steady even in his current, injured state. She was keenly aware of his closeness, of every rise and fall of his breath, but pushed it aside to focus on the trail ahead. She wanted very much to be able to focus more on everything going on around them, especially now that Edris was leading them back to the clearing where Caspian and Kyran had been attacked, but the warmth pouring on her back was so distracting she found it hard to think about anything else.
After all, how many people got the opportunity to be dragged into another world and be put in close proximity like this to their favorite character? Surely the Caspian girlies, though they were few in number, would forgive her for doing what they couldn't.
