Scene: The Second Day of the Fight
INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ARENA – DAY
The grand arena is alive once again, filled with energy as students from both branches cheer, the air crackling with anticipation. Banners wave, and the colors of red and blue ripple through the stands. Both the Superpower and Academic Branches clap and shout in proud support, each confident in the victory of their respective champions.
The Academic Branch students, still riding the high of Lysander's impressive victory, boast excitedly among themselves.
Academic Students (clapping and cheering):
"Lysander crushed the Queen! This is our year!"
"No one can stand against the Academic Branch!"
In the Superpower Branch section, students cheer even louder, their voices filled with pride after their King's victory on the previous day.
Superpower Students (chanting):
"Our King won the first fight—victory is ours!"
"The Queen may have lost, but Yue's still the strongest!"
As the bustling arena fills with even more excitement, Zing Zing stands at her booth overlooking the crowd, a gleeful grin on her face as she surveys the energy surrounding her. The second day has brought a larger audience, and she's more than ready to share every thrilling detail with them.
Zing Zing (excited, leaning toward her mic): "Welcome back, Alaric Academy! It's day two of the Superpower and Academic Branch Clash, and today's turnout is bigger and louder than ever! Even some legendary figures have joined us today!"
She points toward the VIP section, the camera feed shifting to capture Balor, Seiko Kimura, Griffin Discordia, and Hendrickson Vanderbilt in their seats. The crowd buzzes in awe, pointing and whispering at the sight of the famed guests.
Zing Zing (narrating, with admiration): "That's right, folks! In our VIP section, we have Balor, the master of enchanted metals himself! Right next to him, Seiko Kimura—yes, the Seiko, potion brewing genius! And of course, the Guild Mistress of Cloud Tower and the Guild Master of the Knights of Orleans, Griffin Discordia and Hendrickson Vanderbilt. Can you imagine a more legendary lineup of spectators?"
The crowd roars with excitement, cheering and waving as the VIP guests acknowledge them. Zing Zing, energized by the atmosphere, turns back to her microphone with an even brighter smile.
Zing Zing (playful): "Yesterday's matches were spectacular—Yue's powerful victory, Lysander's surprising win over the Queen herself! And the Academic Branch students are as confident as ever, folks. They're convinced this is their year!"
She shifts her gaze to the Superpower Branch side, where students wave banners and chant in support of their own champions.
Zing Zing (grinning): "But don't count the Superpower Branch out just yet! They're out here showing just as much spirit, cheering for their King and the victory they're certain is on the way."
She gestures down at the arena where Alexei Gentoshi and Kimhyun Narukami stand on opposite ends, facing each other with intense focus.
Zing Zing (building suspense): "And here we go—today's big match-up! The mighty Kimhyun Narukami, our Jack, a sponsored student backed by none other than GGG Corporation, and Alexei Orca Gentoshi, a member of the Gentoshi family and GGG himself. Both are fierce fighters in their own right, with powers that could change the game at any moment!"
The crowd grows even louder as she continues, her excitement infectious.
Zing Zing (dramatic): "With Kimhyun's lightning speed and Alexei's unbreakable confidence, this clash promises to be an unforgettable battle! So, buckle up, Alaric Academy—you're in for another thrilling ride!"
With every word, Zing Zing's enthusiasm brings the audience's energy to new heights, her voice the driving force behind the spectacle as the second day's match prepares to unfold.
CUT TO: VIP SECTION
The VIP section is even more packed than the day before, as more prominent figures have joined the audience, including Balor, a legendary dwarf blacksmith renowned for his work with magical metals, and Seiko Kimura, one of the most skilled potion brewers of the age. Both sit near Griffin Discordia, Guild Mistress of Cloud Tower, and Hendrickson Vanderbilt, Guild Master of the Knights of Orleans, who attended the previous day.
Balor, his beard thick and braided, grumbles as he eyes the arena.
Balor (muttering, half-joking): "I heard about yesterday… That Lysander boy, using his flimsy wand to best the Maiden of Orleans. A real disappointment, wouldn't you say, Hendrickson? Watching your talented sister fall to a nerd with a flashy toy?"
Hendrickson's face remains calm, but there's a touch of pride as he replies.
Hendrickson (mildly): "Please don't put it that way, Sir Balor. Lysander's strategy was nothing short of brilliant. I may not like seeing my sister lose, but I can't ignore the skill it took to pull that off. The Gentoshi family is full of talents—first Yue, now Lysander."
Beside them, Seiko Kimura, her silver hair pulled back in a tidy bun, leans in with an amused smile.
Seiko (intrigued): "Speaking of Gentoshi, isn't one of today's fighters also from that family?"
Griffin (nodding): "Yes, Alexei Orca Gentoshi. Lysander's younger brother. He'll be facing Kimhyun Narukami from the Superpower Branch."
Balor frowns, crossing his arms, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Balor (grumbling): "Seems like the Gentoshi family has the advantage here, doesn't it? Especially since Kimhyun is their sponsored student. What's to stop the Gentoshi family from forcing him to throw the match?"
At that moment, a man with sleek blond hair dressed in an immaculate, luxurious suit approaches their seats—it's Liam Sophia-Ri Gentoshi, Chief Manager of GGG Corp. He greets them with a polite nod, his smile ever composed.
Liam (smiling confidently): "You won't have to worry about that, Sir Balor. GGG seeks an honorable fight. Besides, both Alexei and Kimhyun are fierce fighters—they wouldn't want anything less than their opponent's best."
Balor scoffs, though a hint of interest flickers in his eyes.
Balor (gruffly): "Oh, the chief of that 'mass-produced trash' company. Don't expect me to be impressed. I make weapons that last."
Liam (smirking): "Funny, because that 'mass-produced trash' took down two S-ranked ability users. Meanwhile, yesterday, your so-called 'amazing' S-ranked weapon…" (he raises an eyebrow) "…didn't quite hold up."
Balor glares, his fists clenched, but before he can reply, Griffin interrupts, her tone calm but insistent.
Balor (gruffly): "You!!!"
Griffin (firmly): "Please, gentlemen. We're here to watch, not to argue. Though I must admit, Mr. Liam, those weapons of yours are impressive."
Liam (smiling warmly): "I'm glad they please you."
Seiko chimes in, glancing down at the arena where Alexei and Kimhyun stand on opposite ends, preparing for their match.
Seiko (curious): "A sponsored student against a Gentoshi family member. Are you certain there's no pressure on Kimhyun to hold back?"
Liam (reassuringly): "Rest assured, Miss Seiko. This is a true competition. Both fighters are determined to win."
As the VIPs watch the arena, anticipation builds for the next clash, each eager to witness another display of strategy, power, and skill.
Scene: Academic Branch vs Superpower Branch - Battle of Men
INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ARENA – MORNING
The arena is buzzing with excitement as Kimhyun Narukami steps onto the stage, dressed in a sleek military black suit with red stripes that give off an aura of intensity. Surrounding him, golden lightning crackles, dancing around his body, reflecting his formidable power. The Superpower Branch erupts in cheers, their confidence in their Jack unshakable.
Just as the noise peaks, Alexei Orca Gentoshi enters, immediately drawing curious and surprised reactions from the crowd. Instead of the usual battle attire, Alexei sports a peculiar red triangular outfit with Aztec-like designs, adorned with green fringe that barely covers his torso. His bright orange hair, adorned with feathers, and the colorful belt around his waist make him look more suited to a cosplay convention than a battle arena. He holds a massive spear with a dragon head at its tip, its blade shaped like a dragon's tongue, gleaming ominously.
The Superpower Branch students burst out laughing at Alexei's unconventional appearance.
Superpower Branch Student #1: "Yo, what's with the costume? Is this a duel or a cosplay convention?"
Superpower Branch Student #2: "I've seen better outfits at a theme park!"
Superpower Branch Student #3 (snickering): "Maybe he thinks that spear is a prop. What's he gonna do? Scare us with a dragon head?"
Yet, despite the crowd's reaction, Kimhyun's expression is one of cautious respect. He knows exactly what Alexei's outfit signifies.
Kimhyun (smirking): "You're really going to make this count, aren't you?"
Alexei (grins): "You too. That suit—it's a gift from my big bro, right? Didn't think you'd wear it so soon."
Kimhyun: "Well, my suit's pale in comparison to yours... Has GGG finally managed to create S-ranked gear?"
Alexei: "Not quite… All of these are B-rank. But they're designed to coordinate with each other and with my own abilities. Together, they could even surpass an S-ranked item. Remember how my big bro beat Ludociel yesterday? His B-ranked Azure took down her S-ranked Angurvadal rapier."
Kimhyun: "So… you're coming in with the same strategy and preparation?"
Alexei: "Preparation, yes. But strategy? No. I want a fair fight. A real, manly fight. I'm not here for tricks and sneak attacks like my brother."
Kimhyun (grinning): "Alright… May the best man win."
VIP SECTION
Up in the VIP section, Balor, the renowned blacksmith, watches Alexei's entrance with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. His bushy eyebrows knit together as he leans forward, his gaze fixed on the unusual gear.
Balor (muttering, intrigued): "That boy's gear… I didn't expect this from a B-ranked set. The synergy alone—each piece designed to support the others? Hmph… GGG's engineers have come a long way if they're creating things like this."
Seiko Kimura tilts her head, an amused smile tugging at her lips.
Seiko: "Quite a surprise, isn't it, Sir Balor? It seems the Gentoshi family has a few tricks up their sleeves."
Griffin Discordia, the Guild Mistress, chimes in, nodding appreciatively.
Griffin: "It's innovative, I'll give them that. Combining B-ranked pieces to rival an S-rank… They've taken strategy to a whole new level."
Hendrickson Vanderbilt, watching his sister's recent defeat, maintains a calm but thoughtful expression.
Hendrickson: "Lysander's victory over my sister proved that even the strongest weapons can fall to careful planning and unique strategies. It seems the Gentoshi family is full of surprises."
Liam (with a knowing glint): "I take it you approve, Sir Balor?"
Balor (begrudgingly): "Hmph. I don't hand out approval that easily. But I'll admit… your 'mass-produced' gear has potential. Let's see if it can hold its ground in battle."
Liam (smirking): "We aim to impress."
Balor crosses his arms, unable to hide his curiosity. He may not say it aloud, but it's clear that he's more interested in this fight than he'd care to admit.
As the two face each other, the tension between them thickening, Zing Zing's voice rings out over the crowd.
Zing Zing (voice filled with gravity): "Before we begin, fighters, take the oath. This is a test of skill and spirit. By entering this match, you pledge to respect the result, no matter the outcome."
The arena goes silent as John and Yue place their fists over their hearts, reciting the oath together, their voices carrying over the hushed crowd.
Alexei and Kimhyun (in unison): "We stand here with respect for our branch, our rivals, and ourselves. Win or lose, we will honor the result of this battle and carry our pride with dignity."
With the oath declared, the arena feels the weight of their commitment. The two competitors step back, each taking their stance. The anticipation in the air is electric.
Zing Zing (grinning widely): "And now… LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"
The tension in the arena is palpable. Kimhyun and Alexei stand still, weapons drawn, eyes locked, ready to strike. The crowd waits in breathless anticipation, but neither fighter moves.
Zing Zing: "Huh? What is this? They're… not moving?"
Professor Aster, the combat instructor for the first-year Superpower Branch, takes the microphone, his calm voice cutting through the tension.
Prof. Aster: "Isn't it obvious? Both fighters are incredibly strong and skilled. But making the first attack would allow their opponent to study their technique and spot weaknesses. For fighters of this caliber, showing your hand too soon could mean a quick end."
The audience murmurs in astonishment, eyes widening as they realize the depth of the tactical standoff unfolding before them.
Zing Zing: "Then, Professor, why did John and Ludociel attack first yesterday?"
Prof. Aster: "Because they had no choice. In both fights, Yue and Lysander entered the arena with immense firepower already primed. If John and Ludociel hadn't struck first, they would've been overwhelmed immediately. And, well… John was overwhelmed. Ludociel managed to withstand Lysander's attacks but still lost in the end… to strategy and a sneak attack. Here, however, the situation is different. Neither fighter holds an overwhelming advantage in firepower. This will be a battle of pure strength and skill."
The audience gasps, realizing they're about to witness a clash of tactical prowess.
Kimhyun (thinking): I can't wait much longer… Taking the first momentum might be better here.
Suddenly, Kimhyun charges towards Alexei at lightning speed, his blade still sheathed but ready to strike.
Kimhyun (thinking): First strike with Thunderous Slash. Let's see how you handle this!
In a flash, Kimhyun's sword shoots out of its scabbard, aiming directly at Alexei, but—CLANG!
Alexei sidesteps the attack, blocking the blow with his spear.
Alexei: "Intense attack. But limited range. I trained myself in spearmanship specifically to stay out of your reach, you know."
Kimhyun (smirking): "Oh? I had no idea my sponsor's family was so eager to beat me."
Alexei: "Of course we are. You're a legend in my clan. Idolized… almost as if you're invincible. I want to test that. You don't mind, right?"
Before Alexei can finish, Kimhyun charges again, his blade in the scabbard, ready for another Thunderous Slash.
Kimhyun: "Not. At. All~"
Once more, Alexei steps back, his spear intercepting Kimhyun's attack with precision, deflecting the force. But this time, Alexei counters, striking forward immediately after his parry. Kimhyun is forced to retreat, narrowly avoiding the spear's sharp edge.
Alexei (thinking): "Kimhyun's powerful, but his Thunderous Slash has limited range. My spear keeps him just out of reach, and I can read his moves if I watch his sword carefully. Plus, my spear is heavier—countering his lighter weapon will wear him down faster. The strategy is clear… Victory is mine!"
INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ARENA – AUDIENT SEAT – MORNING
The battle intensifies as Kimhyun and Alexei continue their fierce exchange of blows, each showcasing remarkable skill and adaptability. In the audience, students of the superpower branch whisper amongst themselves, both in awe and a bit of trepidation.
Superpower Branch Student 1: "He's… actually keeping up with our Jack."
Superpower Branch Student 2: "Wait, isn't he the one who beat up those first-years who tried to mess with his weapon?"
Superpower Branch Student 3: "If he can go toe-to-toe with our Jack, it makes sense the first-years didn't stand a chance."
In the VIP section, Balor leans forward, frustrated.
Balor (angry): "Are you serious, Liam? Why the hell are they so evenly matched? Shouldn't Kimhyun have the upper hand?"
Hendrickson (calmly): "He does."
Balor (surprised): "Huh?"
Hendrickson: "Kimhyun and Alexei are both fighting at their peak, and yes, Kimhyun has an advantage in speed. But Alexei has the edge in weapon type. His spear has a longer range than Kimhyun's sword, and Kimhyun's Thunderous Slash needs a moment to recharge. Alexei is taking advantage of that brief interval to counter. They're both playing to their strengths and exploiting each other's weaknesses."
Balor: "Ugh… but what if Kimhyun's holding back because he feels pressured—"
Hendrickson: "He isn't. I saw him fight Ludociel, my sister. She used her rapier, which gave her the same range advantage Alexei has now. Her tactics against him were similar, and she put him under considerable pressure."
Balor: "Ugh… that's…"
Liam (grinning): "My nephew's full of surprises, isn't he?"
BACK TO THE BATTLE
CLANG! Kimhyun's sword is deflected once again as Alexei counters with ease.
Kimhyun (thinking): This is just like my fight with Ludociel… If I keep this up, I'll lose for sure. Time to switch tactics.
Suddenly, Kimhyun leaps backward, creating distance between himself and Alexei.
Alexei (smirking): "What's wrong? Isn't our strongest melee fighter afraid to handle a guy with a spear?"
Kimhyun (nonchalant): "Maybe."
Kimhyun stabs his sword into the ground, sending an electric shock through the arena floor. Metal bars erupt from beneath, crackling with energy as they gather around him, drawn by an electromagnetic field.
Kimhyun (thinking): A technique I learned from the king… Using electromagnetic fields to control iron bars. It proved effective during the Eagle Step battle.
Alexei (raising an eyebrow): "Hey, isn't this destruction of school property?"
Kimhyun: "Nothing in the rules says I can't."
As he speaks, the metal bars shoot toward Alexei with blinding speed. Alexei dodges nimbly, weaving through the barrage with impressive skill.
Alexei (thinking): So, this is the Jack everyone talks about… He's more of a monster than I thought. These ranged attacks are strong, but they only go in one direction. He's acting as a giant magnet—he can't control them fully. My chance to strike is now.
While dodging, Alexei suddenly charges forward, closing the distance.
Alexei (grinning): "A true warrior doesn't rely on tricks like that, Jack!"
Kimhyun (grinning back): "A true warrior relies on every trick, Mister."
Alexei attempts a spear thrust, but Kimhyun swiftly pulls his sword from the ground.
Kimhyun (roaring): "Thunderous Slash!!"
Golden lightning explodes across the arena as Kimhyun releases his Thunderous Slash directly from the ground, sending a wave of destruction toward Alexei. The barriers around the arena flicker to life, protecting the audience from the blast.
Alexei (grinning, slightly out of breath): "Damn…Using the earth as a scabbard. Didn't expect you to use Thunderous Slash like that."
Kimhyun: "And I didn't expect you to parry it so effortlessly."
The two exchange a look of mutual respect, then dive back into the fray, clashing with renewed intensity.
INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ARENA – AUDIENT SEAT – MORNING
The students of the superpower branch watch, their admiration and awe evident.
Hugo (surprised): "So… cool… and strong."
Hugo (thinking): Alexei… Big Brother Lysander… You really did grow stronger after pushing me away.
Shizuka (in shock): "The gap between him and me… it's huge. Kimhyun didn't even use those metal bars when he fought me."
Fenix (grinning): "Well, that's royal power for you."
BACK TO THE BATTLE
The battle reaches its climax as thunder roars across the field, lightning scattering in all directions. In the eye of the storm, Alexei advances fiercely, his relentless spear strikes forcing Kimhyun back with every step.
Kimhyun (thinking): Damn. Should I try another ranged attack? But with Alexei's speed, he'd close the gap before I'm ready… That leaves only one option.
With a sudden burst of energy, Kimhyun leaps high into the sky, his katana sheathed. His entire body radiates with golden lightning, which grows brighter and more intense, sparking wildly.
Kimhyun (thinking): I created this technique to challenge the king after my defeat. A ranged Thunderous Slash—a powerful shot of pure lightning. Let's see how you handle this, Alexei.
On the ground, Alexei watches, gasping slightly as he realizes what's coming.
Alexei (thinking, impressed): Whoa… He's really going for a massive ranged attack. He must be desperate to risk it. And here I thought I was the only one feeling worn down. Dodging's not an option, so…
Alexei (grinning, shouting): "I'll show you my technique too!!"
With a dramatic gesture, Alexei summons a golden Chinese dragon that coils around him, its head resembling the dragon motif on his spear's tip. The creature glows, pulsing with a strange, fierce energy.
VIP SECTION
Balor (shocked): "That's…"
Liam (grinning): "The peak of our clan's scientific knowledge. Balor, you always say that a true craftsman puts their soul into their creations? Well, we thought our own souls were too precious, so we decided to use something else—a dragon's soul. Cool, right?"
Griffin (wide-eyed): "Just how powerful is that weapon?"
Liam: "Not sure. We haven't fully tested it, but Alexei insisted he use it here. Said it'd be the perfect field test."
Seiko (in disbelief): "So… you embedded a dragon's soul in that spear?"
Liam: "More like its head… but close enough, right?"
BACK TO THE BATTLE
Alexei leaps up, the golden dragon spiraling around him as he ascends. Kimhyun, high in the air, begins to draw his sword, channeling every ounce of his power into this one, final strike.
Kimhyun (thinking): I've always dreamed of facing an opponent this strong. I'm not fighting for my branch, my school, or my rank. I just want to prove… that I can give my all, against this warrior before me.
Alexei: "Bamboo Dragon!!!"
Kimhyun (roaring): "I'll take you on… with my strongest Thunderous Slash!!"
The sky erupts in golden lightning, shattering with the force of their combined attacks. A massive shockwave reverberates through the arena, making the entire crowd shield their eyes. The protective barriers around the arena strain to hold back the unleashed power.
As the dust and light fade, both fighters are seen falling, their bodies spiraling back to the ground amidst the crackling remnants of energy.
ON THE GROUND
Zing Zing: "Holy cow!!! Both fighters are down! What a shocking outcome!"
Professor Aster: "So… how are we going to decide who won?"
A heavy silence follows, but suddenly, a voice echoes across the arena.
Alexei (shouting, struggling to stand): "I win!!"
Slowly, Alexei rises, battered but grinning with fierce pride.
Alexei: "Hahaha… I won."
The crowd gasps, murmuring in awe as Zing Zing quickly grabs the microphone to make it official.
Zing Zing (enthusiastic): "And there you have it, folks! The winner of this incredible duel… Alexei!!"
The arena explodes with applause and cheers as Zing Zing's voice echoes through the stands, confirming Alexei's victory. The energy is electric as the audience, both academic and superpower branches, celebrate the remarkable fight they just witnessed.
Scene: Aftermath of the Jack - The King's Court
INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ACADEMIC BRANCH – PRIVATE LOUNGE – LUNCH
The private lounge in the academic branch is bathed in the soft light of afternoon sun filtering through tall, elegant windows. Alexei sat on the sofa with a proud smirk, despite the bruises and scratches covering his arms and face. Floria, Angela and Yue sat next to him.
Alexei (grinning): "Well, looks like I showed that dog who's boss. Did you see his face when I stood up? That's what a real warrior looks like."
Floria sighs, shaking her head as she takes a sip of her drink.
Floria: "Don't get too full of yourself, Alexei. You know Kimhyun didn't even use his werewolf form during the fight. You only won because you had all those fancy gadgets and that dragon spear. Without them… who knows?"
Alexei (grumbling): "Tch. It's not like I didn't put in the work. But yeah, sure, he was holding back… Let him come at me again, and I'll beat him all the same."
Before Alexei can continue, Angela speaks up, her voice calm.
Angela: "Kimhyun doesn't avoid using his werewolf form because he's afraid of losing, Alexei. He has his reasons."
She looks around the table, seeing everyone's curious stares.
Angela: "Werewolf form is powerful, but it overrides the user's consciousness with a more primal, beastly instinct. A lot of werebeasts learn to control it, but Kimhyun... his physical enhancement technique, the Rampage Garment, depends on precise electrical control at the cellular level. Tapping into his werewolf form would disrupt that control—he could even end up hurting himself if he tried to combine the two."
Floria (nodding): "So it's not just about strength for him. It's a choice—between brute force and refined skill. I respect that."
Alexei (a bit defensive): "Fine, fine. He's got his reasons. Doesn't change the fact that I won."
The group falls silent for a moment, and then Yue leans in, glancing around the cafeteria as if looking for someone.
Yue: "By the way… anyone seen Lysander? He's usually here by now."
Angela shrugs, rolling her eyes slightly.
Angela: "Dunno. Maybe he's off taking care of the dog after that fierce battle."
The table chuckles, imagining Lysander fussing over the dog from the fight. The light laughter lifts the mood, as they all dig into their meals, each quietly reflecting on the impressive match they'd just witnessed.

INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – INFIRMARY – LUNCH
The infirmary is bathed in the soft glow of afternoon light filtering through high windows, casting a calm over the quiet room. Kimhyun lies on one of the beds, bandages wrapped around his arms and torso, his face etched with exhaustion but also satisfaction. Nearby, Lysander sits on a chair, a slight smirk tugging at his lips as he pets Kimhyun's head gently, in a manner that teases yet reassures.
Lysander (grinning): "Aww, my cute doggo got kicked so hard today. All those electric muscles, and look at you now."
Kimhyun groans, irritation flashing in his eyes, though he doesn't push Lysander's hand away. Instead, a reluctant sense of satisfaction spreads across his face at the comfort and teasing.
Kimhyun (sighing, but grateful): "Thanks for helping me out, Lysander. Though, I have to admit, your little brother's real skilled out there. He's even better than I'd expected."
Lysander nods, his expression shifting to one of genuine pride mixed with amusement.
Lysander (chuckling): "Yeah, he's got some talent hidden under all that flair, doesn't he? Alexei's always been more straightforward than me—no tricks, just pure determination."
Kimhyun lets out a short laugh, wincing slightly as it pulls at his bruises.
Kimhyun (grinning, despite himself): "I'll take your tricks over that dragon spear of his any day. But I've got to admit… it was worth it. That's a fight I'll remember."
Lysander reaches into his bag, pulling out a small vial of red potion.
Lysander:
"Here, a healing potion for my tough pup."
Kimhyun raises an eyebrow, extending his hand for the vial.
Kimhyun: "Thanks."
Lysander (smirking): "Was planning to feed it to you, but—"
Kimhyun (exasperated): "No thank you! Just hand it over!"
Lysander hands over the vial, and Kimhyun drinks it down in one swig. Almost instantly, his cuts and bruises start to fade. Lysander watches, still smirking, and taps his fingers in thought.
Lysander (grinning): "Alright, since you're almost back to your strong self… mind showing those wolf ears of yours? It's been a rough week; I could use a little comfort."
Kimhyun: "Again with the ears? You've got a real fixation, you know that?"
Despite his grumbling, Kimhyun lets his wolf ears and tail appear, twitching as they take form. Lysander's expression lights up, and he reaches over, his hand stroking Kimhyun's ears with almost childlike satisfaction.
Lysander (grinning, happily): "Now this is what I needed. You have no idea how much I've had to hold back with my tricks these last few days… A little petting session really takes the edge off."
Kimhyun (sighing, grumbling): "Yes, yes, young master, whatever you say~"
But despite his mock-annoyance, there's an unmistakable ease on Kimhyun's face as Lysander continues petting him. There is a sense of joy and oddly satisfaction from where Lysander touching him.
Scene: Academic Branch vs Superpower Branch - Sea Witch vs Space Marine
INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ARENA – AFTERNOON
The arena vibrates with the electric energy of an eager crowd. After two victories by the Academic Branch, the students from that side are buzzing with excitement, a loud sea of cheers and shouts echoing off the arena walls. Shouts of encouragement and taunts directed at the Superpower Branch ripple through the stands.
Academic Branch Student #1: "Two down, and the royals aren't looking so royal anymore!"
Academic Branch Student #2 (snickering): "All that muscle, and they still can't keep up with our tech. They should start taking notes!"
CUT TO: ARENA FLOOR
In the center of the arena stands Eric Liu, a towering figure encased in the gleaming Space Marine suit. The armor, blue and polished with lines of silver and dark lights, gives him an intimidating, almost mechanical presence. Next to him, Shizuka Maidono appears dwarfed by his massive form. Her calm gaze hides the flicker of doubt in her mind.
Shizuka (thinking): "So… I have to fight that. It looks even tougher than the one the King faced. Can I… defeat it?"
She takes a deep breath, steadying herself as she looks up at the armored giant, her fingers tightening around her wand.
Across the arena, Zing Zing stands center stage, microphone in hand, her tone filled with practiced excitement.
Zing Zing (announcing): "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the afternoon battle! Today, we have the Superpower Branch's fourth-ranked fighter, the Sea Witch herself—Shizuka Maidono!"
Cheers ripple through the Superpower Branch stands, though some students watch anxiously, feeling the weight of their earlier losses.
Zing Zing (gesturing to Eric): "And from the Academic Branch, we have the formidable Eric Liu, wielding the powerful GGG Space Marine suit!"
The Academic Branch students explode in applause, confident in Eric's armor and the advantage it promises. A few of them shout taunts in Shizuka's direction, their excitement brimming over.
Academic Branch Student #3: "Good luck, little girl! Hope you're ready to be flattened!"
Zing Zing (raising a hand for silence): "Before we begin, fighters, we ask you to take the oath—this is a battle of skill and spirit. By entering this match, you pledge to respect the result, no matter the outcome."
Eric and Shizuka face each other, placing their fists over their hearts as they recite the oath together, their voices strong despite the tension in the air.
Eric and Shizuka (in unison): "We stand here with respect for our branch, our rivals, and ourselves. Win or lose, we will honor the result of this battle and carry our pride with dignity."
The crowd hushes, taking in the gravity of their words, as Zing Zing grins and steps back, her voice ringing out with excitement.
Zing Zing: "Let the battle… BEGIN!"
As soon as the battle begins, Shizuka draws her wakizashi, its blade gleaming with a faint, shimmering aura. The arena is tense, everyone watching her closely as she takes a focused breath, summoning an enormous stream of water that spirals out from the blade. It splits into several serpentine streams, each water snake weaving through the air with deadly intent toward Eric.
Shizuka (thinking): "A B-ranked sword that enhances flow and power. Perfect for my water manipulation!"
But her attack comes to an abrupt halt. A large blue barrier emanates from Eric's suit, completely neutralizing the water snakes, which splash harmlessly around him, pooling over the battlefield.
Shizuka (surprised): "Wait, what?"
Eric (grinning, his voice taunting): "What's wrong, Sea Witch? You think I have no way of dealing with your little splash?"
With a confident smirk, Eric raises a sleek laser gun, aiming directly at her. Shizuka reacts in a flash, propelling herself upward on a burst of water, narrowly dodging the laser shot that scorches the ground below.
Shizuka (thinking, hovering above): "A technique I learned from Hugo… but this is going to be a tough match. That suit grants him both a full-body barrier and insane firepower."
High in the air, Shizuka raises her hand, summoning a collection of icy spikes. With a swift motion, she hurls them downward at Eric, each iceberg aimed to crash directly into him. But his barrier holds strong, each impact dispersing the ice with an effortless deflection.
Eric (calling out smugly): "Give up, girl. You're outmatched."
Eric fires another laser beam, but Shizuka quickly summons a towering tidal wave to ride on, gliding gracefully out of range of his attack. Her expression remains tense, realizing the strategy Eric's using against her.
Shizuka (thinking): "Strong offense, incredible defense, but he's practically immobile… His strategy must be to stall me out of mana. They must have studied my fighting style down to the last detail."
Her eyes narrow in determination as she makes her next move. Summoning more water, she sends five more serpentine streams toward Eric, each one colliding against his barrier and splashing across the arena floor, adding to the growing pool of water that now covers almost every inch of the battleground. Shizuka glances around, seeing her plan start to take shape.
Shizuka (thinking): "In that case… let's use this entire battlefield!"
She claps her hands together, channeling her power into the accumulated water, which begins to swirl around Eric in a rapid, spiraling vortex. The water cyclone encases him, spinning faster and faster until his suit is completely surrounded by a thick wall of water.
Eric (inside the vortex, his voice muffled): "This is—!"
CUT TO: AUDIENCE
In the stands, the crowd gasps, watching the swirling vortex with wide eyes. The Gentoshis are watching in the fighter section.
Alexei (frustrated): "Goddamn it. He lost… He had one job with the strategy practically spoon-fed to him!"
Floria (confused): "Huh? But he's still—"
Lysander (calm, analytical): "Shizuka has surrounded his barrier with a water cyclone. The pressure difference will break the barrier if she freezes it in place. The result is clear as day…"
Alexei (exasperated): "Useless!"
BACK TO: ARENA
With a final gesture, Shizuka's hands glow, her face set in fierce concentration. In an instant, the swirling water solidifies into thick ice, creating a solid wall around Eric, trapping him inside. The intense pressure from the ice's density cracks his barrier in multiple places, splintering it until it finally shatters, sending shards across the battlefield.
Zing Zing (voice booming, triumphant): "And the winner is… Shizuka Maidono!!!"
The arena erupts in cheers and gasps, the Superpower Branch students celebrating wildly, while the Academic Branch sits stunned by the unexpected outcome. Shizuka lets out a relieved breath, lowering her wakizashi as she surveys the icy prison she's created. Eric remains still, his defeated figure encased in the fractured remains of his once-impenetrable barrier.

INT. ST. ALARIC ACADEMY – ACADEMIC BRANCH PRIVATE LOUNGE – EVENING
In the Gentoshi family's exclusive lounge, the mood is subdued but tinged with tension. A lavish table is set with an array of delicacies, though few seem interested in the meal. Liam Sophia-Ri Gentoshi, the Chief Manager of GGG, reclines in one of the plush seats, his usual composure disrupted by a sharp look of irritation. Angela, Lysander, Alexei, and Floria sit nearby, each reflecting on the day's fights in their own way.
Liam (sighing, with a hint of forced encouragement): "Eric, John—don't let today's results get to you too much. You both fought well with what you had. We're not here to win every battle. You'll learn from this."
Eric nods stiffly, clearly frustrated but grateful for the encouragement.
John (muttering, still looking down): "Thanks, Mr. Gentoshi. We'll…do better next time."
Eric rises, bowing respectfully to Liam, and John follows suit. Both of them make their way to the door, still quietly disappointed.
Once they're gone, the silence that follows leaves room for Liam's true feelings to emerge, his calm expression twisting into a brief frown. Angela, ever the mediator, speaks up before he has a chance to voice his displeasure.
Angela (in a low, soothing tone): "Uncle, today was difficult, but we've seen the armor's limits. It held up against intense attacks, and now we can improve its mobility. This loss was… educational."
Lysander (nodding, adding): "Eric and John may not have capitalized on the armor's strengths, but we know where it shines. We'll use that insight in the next matches."
Liam sighs, his expression easing as he considers their words.
Liam (nodding reluctantly): "Hmm. Fair points, both of you. But the armor was meant to make a statement, and two losses don't exactly scream innovation. It's—"
Alexei (interjecting with a laugh): "—a complete waste, if you ask me."
The entire table looked over, surprised by Alexei's blunt tone. Angela shoots Alexei a warning glance, but he simply shrugs, undeterred.
Alexei (smirking): "They could've chosen someone better. Maybe my friends Leontius or Drakos. At least they wouldn't have stood there like statues when Shizuka's attack came."
Floria (softly, trying to temper Alexei's critique): "Alexei, there's no need to rub it in. Shizuka fought well; they just couldn't adapt in time."
Alexei (grinning): "Maybe. But if they'd had a fraction of the talent they claimed to have, they'd have shown us something… anything."
Angela (stirring her drink, slightly puzzled): "By the way… did anyone know Shizuka would be wielding that sword or knife? I swear, I wasn't aware we'd issued her one of our products."
Liam (frowning, setting down his glass): "Neither was I. That wakizashi… it's a custom-designed B-rank, crafted specifically to enhance flow techniques. I never authorized its distribution outside our own circle… Except Kimhyun!!"
Lysander (sigh): "Well… At least now we have an ad for the sword..."
Just then, the door swings open, and Yue strides into the lounge, a wide grin on his face. He surveys the room, amusement dancing in his eyes as he looks directly at Angela and Lysander.
Yue (laughing, mockingly): "Well, well, well! Look who's practically carrying the Academic Branch on their backs. Not enough talent on your side? Need a hand?"
Angela rolls her eyes with an exasperated smile, while Lysander chuckles, unaffected by Yue's jibe.
Lysander (calmly): "We're managing just fine, King. You're not the only Gentoshi capable of strategy, you know."
Angela (smiling, feigning offense): "Besides, unlike you, we have to actually think our way to victory. Can't rely on raw power alone."
Yue (grinning): "Maybe so, but it doesn't change the fact that without you two, the Academic Branch would be in tatters."
Angela leans back, smirking as she meets his gaze, her tone light but laced with pride.
Angela: "Isn't that just proof of our skills, then? Not everyone has to rely on brute strength."
Alexei (grinning, holding up a glass in a mock toast): "Here's to the 'brilliant' minds of the Academic Branch. A bit lost without their royals, aren't they?"
The table laughs, even Yue, as they continue their banter. Liam, though still visibly disappointed with the day's events, joins in with a slight, begrudging smile as the Gentoshi family's unique sense of camaraderie fills the room.
