Chapter seven

"just turn off the light and sleep, you didn't fill me on why you came back late now you're depriving me of sleep"Dora said angrily

Pippa looked at her, she wanted to tell Dora everything but she was scared, she couldn't drag Dora into the mud with her.

"Turn off the light!!"Dora yelled

"I can't sleep"

Dora sighed

"Why?.....,saw a ghost on your way here?"

"Seeing a ghost would have been better "pippa sighed

"Are you ill?why do you look pale?"

"Just sleep Dora, don't worry about me "

Everything was normal as if nothing had happened the previous night, Pippa had no classes so she stayed back at the dorm.

She was about to lie down when she heard a knock.

"Who's there?"she asked

"It's me Aria, the director needs to see you"

Pippa's face turned pale,was he going to kill her to hide their existence?

"Can I come in?She heard her asked

"No, I'll come out instead "she replied almost immediately.

Pippa wrote on a paper

"I'm at the director's office,if I don't return don't ask of me"

She kept the paper on a place Dora could find it easily then she went outside.

"Hey" Aria smiled at her

"I won't do any formalities, let's just meet the director"

"Thinking about it, there will be no need to"

"Why?" Pippa asked confused

"I can do what he is gonna do "

"Like what? Pippa asked

"This"Aria said as her iris turned red.

She walked closer to Pippa who didn't didn't move an inch, Pippa herself couldn't explain where the courage came from,Aria looked into her eyes.

"Are you a witch ?"Aria asked

Pippa understood immediately, this is one of the vampire power that works on everyone but why isn't it working on her?

"No, I'm not"Pippa answered

"Forget all your contacts with Rocco and avoid him like a plague"Aria said as Pippa noded slowly.

Aria's uris turned normal as she backed away from Pippa a bit

Pippa pretended to recover from the compulsion then smiled at Aria.

"What do you mean by you can do what the director's gonna do?"

"Lunch, let's have lunch together"

"I'm not hungry"

"But I can't eat alone duh,so accompany me"Aria begged

"Puppy eyes don't work on me"Pippa rolled her eyes

"Aren't you bored staying in there alone?"Aria asked

"Why do you care?"we aren't exactly friends,are we?"

"Let's be, let's be friends"Aria said

"Fine, let's go eat lunch but that doesn't make us friends"

"I'll go with that"Aria giggled as she interlocked hands with Pippa then they left

They were having lunch and chatting like normal friends when the supposed plague approached them.

"Hey Rocco, to what do we owe this visit?"Aria asked as Rocco looked at Pippa who avoided his gaze

"What's wrong with her"Rocco asked

"Don't know"Aria shrugged.

Pippa felt uncomfortable under Rocco's piercing gaze, she wished she could disappear and cease to exist.

"Aria I'm...

She couldn't complete her sentence as her sweet plague held her hand and pulled her to himself, she couldn't balance her stance and was about to fall but the plague caught her.

The cafeteria went dead silent as all gaze focused on them.

Pippa quickly stoop properly.

"I'm sorry, you suddenly grabbed me and I couldn't....

There he go again,he just held her hand and left dragging her along.

They got outside then stopped in front of a black power bike. Rocco gave her the helmet then sat on the bike.

"Climb on"

"Why did you bring only one helmet? What about you? "She asked as he glared at her

"It's not like I care"she said as she climbed on the bike

"Hold on tight"Rocco said as pippa's cheek reddened.

She held him shyly but quickly held him tightly the moment he rode the bike.

Pippa came down from the bike then took off the helmet.

"Why do you have to ride power bike,its not like they're faster than you"Pippa looked away and at the same time playing with her hair strand

"So...,it didn't work "

"What didn't work "

"You know what I'm talking about "

"Oh...., are you talking about what Aria did to me? how did you.....

"No one is free from vampire hypnosis except dead people"Rocco said as he looked at her

Pippa felt her heart jumped to her mouth, what do he mean by dead people? accusing her of being a witch wasn't enough now she's a living corpse?

She looked around in fear then it came to her realization why Rocco had brought her here,it wasn't for her to receive cool breeze or enjoy a cool ride but to get rid of her?

"I can hear your thoughts" Rocco said as he came down from the bike

"Vampires can't hear thoughts,can they?"She asked as he looked at her.

"You sure do know more than you should"

"My thoughts are my privacy, don't listen to it"

"It doesn't matter since you're dieing here"

"Can a dead man die again" Pippa mocked

"The second death I guess "

"What if you kill me and realize I'm a full live human, I'm pretty sure I'm well alive "Pippa said in tears as she backed away from Rocco

"I can't possibly die here, what about my family? how'll they feel? what about my fans? I can't do this to them, I can't die die now....., I still have a long way to go "

Pippa prayed he'ld show mercy after listening to her thoughts but he shew no compassion.

" Don't tell me you won't spare me after listening to what I thought "

"You said not to listen to it "

"Since when did you become this obedient, I'll prove to you that I'm well alive, how can I possibly be a dead person without knowing?"

Rocco gave a slight chuckle which in this kind of state setted pippa's heart ablaze.

"I won't kill you, not yet"
