144. The Uchiha Supercar Is Launched!

The battle at Amegakure caused an uproar in the ninja world, not because the five major villages were shocked by the joint action but because of the strength of the Akatsuki organization.

Everyone discovered that even though the Akatsuki organization only consisted of a few individuals, if they truly decided to act, essentially no village outside the five great shinobi villages could resist.

Among them, Takigakure, which possesses the Seven-Tails, was especially terrified. After all, the Akatsuki's target was the tailed beasts, and this had already been declared by the five major villages.

Compared to other smaller ninja villages, Takigakure was desperately searching for any trace of the Akatsuki organization, driven by great fear. They had no options—they couldn't fight back effectively, nor could they flee. They could only rely on the efforts of the five great shinobi villages to defend them.

However, if the Akatsuki, wielding Kamui, truly decided to hide, no one could find them—except for Yagami, who possessed the Sharingan's Kamui ability. Kamui's dimension was not easily accessible.

This was indeed the reality. After the battle at Amegakure, the Akatsuki organization vanished entirely, as if they had disappeared from the ninja world.

The Iwagakure and Kumogakure shinobi, upon discovering their villages had been raided by the Akatsuki, issued high-level bounties, expressing their outrage and disgust at the Akatsuki's thievery.

This, in turn, brought some relief to Sarutobi Hiruzen, who had been in an extremely bad mood. Although the allied forces had been soundly defeated, Konoha hadn't suffered the worst of it. At least it hadn't been looted by the Akatsuki.

After returning to Konoha, Yagami declared that the rural revitalization plan had entered its normalization stage, with subsequent matters to be managed by the Uchiha Group.

He resigned from his position as a Konoha advisor and returned to Uchiha Evernight City to focus on developing the Uchiha clan's economy.

Regarding the Akatsuki organization, Yagami didn't stop considering ways to eradicate them; he even took action. However, after acquiring Obito's eye, he didn't encounter Obito or Nagato within the Kamui dimension.

This indicated that while the Akatsuki remained active in the ninja world, their whereabouts were completely unknown.

Yagami possessed Obito's other Kamui eye, which he kept as a backup plan. The element of surprise could only be used once. If he failed to eliminate Obito, there wouldn't be many more opportunities, so Yagami chose not to alert the enemy.

Obito's strength wasn't the issue—it wasn't particularly difficult to kill him. The challenge was ensuring his complete demise.

Even as a member of the Uchiha clan, Yagami found himself troubled by the existence of techniques like Izanagi. Sometimes, having such formidable ancestors felt like a curse.

Eventually, Yagami found clarity. With the ancient Sage of Six Paths watching over the two Chosen Ones, his role wasn't to destroy the Akatsuki or thwart Black Zetsu's schemes. He only needed to ensure his survival and preserve the Uchiha legacy.

Taking a step back, the Susanoo shown in the original work was capable of resisting the Infinite Tsukuyomi. There was no reason he couldn't achieve the same with the help of the house system.

Once the Ōtsutsuki bloodline was obtained, both the Sharingan and Byakugan would undergo qualitative changes, likely granting immunity to Infinite Tsukuyomi. Thus, Yagami decided to abandon the pursuit of the Akatsuki.

Instead, he turned his focus to preparing for the aftermath of the Fourth Shinobi World War. The ninja world would be left in ruins, presenting an unparalleled opportunity for Uchiha to rise. Before this, it was crucial for the Uchiha clan to establish the necessary infrastructure to thrive in the coming chaos and secure their prosperity.'

Three years passed in a flash, and it was time for Naruto and Sasuke to graduate.

Over the past three years, thanks to the Uchiha clan's expansive business network, friction among the five great nations had significantly diminished.

As long as no one deliberately sought trouble, conflicts were virtually nonexistent.

This period of relative peace allowed everyone to recuperate.

During this time, the Akatsuki organization left no trace. Apart from Iwagakure and Kumogakure, which continued their search, the other three villages paid them less attention.

It wasn't that they underestimated the Akatsuki but that they lacked the energy to focus on them. Of course, they hadn't entirely abandoned their vigilance but simply deprioritized it compared to Iwagakure and Kumogakure.

Sunagakure, for instance, had its hands full. The village, which had long struggled with barren lands, finally had the opportunity to develop. Rasa, the Kazekage, was determined to avoid spending his days panning for gold in the desert. Such a life was far from appealing.

The same was true for Kirigakure.

The damage inflicted by Obito ran deep, and repairing it was no small task.

Although Uchiha was an excellent ally, Kirigakure couldn't rely on external support alone for high-level combat power.

For one of the five great shinobi villages, this was far from ideal.

Being a Kirigakure shinobi wasn't easy. Who wouldn't want one or two strong individuals to bolster their ranks?

As for Konoha, Sarutobi Hiruzen was left grappling with the aftermath of the Rain Village battle. His once-strong position as Hokage had been severely undermined, and now the Third Hokage spent his days trying to patch up the holes created by his own actions, as well as those left by Danzo and the two elder advisors.

The battle at Amegakure not only demonstrated the strength of the Akatsuki organization but also exposed the misconduct of Konoha's leadership, particularly regarding the mismanagement of various shinobi clans.

Most shinobi weren't fools. If they hadn't noticed these issues before, it was only because the upper echelons had concealed them too well. Now that the truth was out, there was no hiding it.

To quell public outrage, Hiruzen devoted himself entirely to atoning for these mistakes during his tenure as Hokage. This had been his primary focus over the past three years.

As for the Uchiha clan, Hiruzen had no time—or means—to interfere with them. Even if he had the inclination, his hands were tied.

The Uchiha Group had become renowned throughout the shinobi world, forging cooperative relationships with all five great villages. Even without their business network, Konoha wouldn't dare touch Evernight City.

The Daimyo of the Land of Fire frequently visited Evernight City, expressing his favour toward the Uchiha clan. Each year, he spent time there meeting with the Uchiha.

Furthermore, both Tsunade and Jiraiya were known to appear in Evernight City. Tsunade, in particular, had even purchased a mansion there adorned with the Senju family crest. This stirred the awareness among those who were aware of Konoha's history.

The sight of both the Uchiha and Senju emblems in Evernight City evoked a sense of nostalgia. For many older Konoha residents, it felt as though Evernight City represented the true legacy of their village's founders.

At the entrance to Konoha, a massive steel gate stood guard.

Suddenly, a roaring sound echoed through the area, and a blue iron box with four spinning wheels appeared. It bore the Uchiha clan emblem prominently on the front, making its ownership unmistakable.

Despite its high speed, the iron box came to a smooth stop in front of the gate just as Kotetsu Hagane prepared to intervene.

Rolling down the window of the sleek supercar, Yagami leaned out and spoke. "Even though I'm no longer an advisor, the Uchiha are still Konoha shinobi, aren't they? Or is entry forbidden now?"

Sasuke had just graduated, and the next step was team assignments.

Yagami had been sent to Konoha by Fugaku to oversee Sasuke's development as a Jōnin instructor. While Sasuke had spent much of the past few years training in Konoha, his visits to Evernight City for family training had lacked the necessary intensity.

As a concerned father, Fugaku didn't want Sasuke to fall behind. Thus, he entrusted Yagami, who had time to spare, with mentoring his son.
