He could feel the fire bird getting closer, but Bane was still trying to decide how to deal with this woman. Killing her was virtually useless, but maybe he could figure out something else that would prevent her from following him.

'She is not going to give up until she can get you between her legs,' Onyx noted, and Bane agreed, and the question was how could he make this woman give up.

'I will just put her fire out with water.'

'The same trick won't work twice.'

"Ugh!" Bane growled out loud, but neither of the women paid any attention to him.

Both women had become used to Bane talking to himself, and the two actually enjoyed listening to his one-sided conversation with the voice in his head. Neither of them could hear onyx, but when nothing was said for an entire week, it was easy for the women to understand the gist of the conversations.
