"I-I will try. I wasn't trying to cause any trouble for her... I just..." Jing started to say, but Bane cut her off with a cold voice.

"Don't lie. It is very clear what you were trying to do. You wanted to get close to me so I would take you as one of my wives. Even if this is part of Mizuage's plan, which I know it is, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't have a little respect for your friend and be honest with her about your intentions. You are also not being very fair to Lysia. She has been friends with you for how long, and you don't know anything about me, other than what Mizuage has told you, correct?" Bane asked, and Jing nodded her head. "Then you should have been more respectful and given Lysia time to sort things out. You may be her friend, but you are still going behind her back to get closer to me, so I want you to think about how you are acting right now."

Bane looked down at Jing's face, and she was biting her lip so hard that she had drawn blood.
