His life might not be so bad if she was the only one, but his overwhelming personality ends up pulling a few more dysfunctional women into the mess.

"This is where you fight the shadow that hides within, tough guy," Bane's own voice snickered back at him.

Bane blinked, and then turned to the side to find a shadowy figure sitting next to him with its legs crossed. "What are you supposed to be? A darker side of me that is more polite? Is that even possible? I am a self absorbed asshole that only cares about my women, and I know it, but what does that make you?."

The shadow laughed. "I guess, but I am more like an imprint of you, but with a different personality. Do you really want to know why you are here?"

"I don't feel like I have a choice in the matter, so carry on, Shadow Me," Bane sighed, rolling his eyes. "I already know how this goes, so let's get to the point."

The shadowy figure looked at him, and then stood up. "That is the problem with you, Bane. You already have your mind set, so you never try to learn anything new."
