Although Midra's wounds had healed, Sato's condition worried her. She decided to wait to learn the outcome of the surgery. As she paced back and forth in the corridor, she thought about the events and changes that had occurred in the village in recent days.
Kamiya and Kinjo suddenly came to Midra's side. "Are you alright?" Kamiya asked.
"I'm fine, thank you," Midra said in a tired voice. "How is Sato? Was the surgery successful?"
"It looks like it will take a bit longer, we're trying to provide all the help we can," Kinjo replied.
Tetsu came running to them, holding several blood bags. "These should be enough, Kamiya, you can take them," he said, holding them out.
Kamiya took the bags and ran quickly toward the operating room. Midra watched after him with concern, then turned to Tetsu. "How long do you think it will take?" she asked.
