Lionel chuckled softly.

"No, it seems both of us are forgetting something. We're at a disadvantage with each other. If you kill me right here and now, you'll all be dead when the Emperor's troops arrive—I won't be here to defend you. So, if I want something, give it to me if you've got it," Lionel said, his sharp gaze fixed on the Elder Master.

The Elder Master smiled, unbothered, and replied, "Done. You'll get blood essence to absorb and rank up—that'll benefit us as well. After that, you'll get the beast you need for the other matter."

"That's perfect," Lionel said with a satisfied nod, falling into step beside the Elder Master as they continued walking.

Soon, they arrived at a familiar door—the same one the maids had first brought Lionel through. The guards stationed there bowed in respect, stepping aside to let them in.
