Chapter 66: Blushing Again and Again

"Ah?" Ivy once again wore a bewildered expression, like a silly, easily amused kitten.

Elise said, "In any case, Kate's place is only two or three miles from here. Why don't you come with her tonight, rest early, and tomorrow you can go back home to get your things without being so tired."

Ivy noticed that Elise used the term "Kate's place," meaning Kate did not live with her mother.

Kate also looked at Ivy, seemingly awaiting her thoughts.

"Wouldn't that be too much trouble for you?" Ivy faced Elise, playing the role of an obedient junior. "If it's inconvenient, I can take a taxi home myself."

Elise curved her lips into a smile. "I can't make decisions for Kate. Why don't you ask her if it's a bother?"

Saying this, she glanced at Kate, implying she wouldn't interfere in matters between the two of them.

Kate said to Ivy, "If you'd like to come to my place, I can bring you along."
