"Annie, are you alright? Do you need some medicine?" Ivy was still oblivious, thinking Annie had caught a cold.

"I'm fine," Annie replied. "I'm going to make something to eat. Ivy, Ms. Stone, would you like anything?"

Ivy shook her head while patting her stomach. "Thanks, Annie, but I'm stuffed. You two go ahead."

Kate spoke up, "Do you need any help?"

The other three fell silent simultaneously. When one door opens, sometimes two windows close. Let's keep the cooking window firmly shut—for the sake of the kitchen and everyone's well-being.

"Actually, I'm quite good at cracking eggs," Kate said.
