At exactly 5:00 PM, a sleek black car pulled up to the entrance of the villa. Harlow stepped out, her mind bracing for Alanis's scolding about hurting his mother again.

With her purse barely hanging on her fingers, she made her way inside. As soon as she stepped into the villa, a sweet, savory aroma greeted her, making her mouth water.

Drawn by the smell, she followed it to the dining room. Alanis was already seated at the large table, smiling as she entered. The table was filled with an array of dishes, more than she had seen in a long time. Her stomach growled just looking at the feast before her.

"Welcome back, my little villain," Alanis's deep voice broke through her thoughts. She glanced at him but ignored his words. Her irritation was forgotten, replaced by the overwhelming urge to dig into the food.
