"Hey, son! Come and have dinner with us!!" Amara said the moment she saw Christopher walking into the house.
"You guys go ahead; I'm not hungry..." He turned to Adonis, who opened his mouth.
"It's already in your room!"
Christopher nodded.
"What's in his room?" Amara asked, mildly surprised.
Katherine stared at Christopher, who shook his head... She quickly spoke.
"Yeah, Mum! Let Brother have a rest... And Dad, remember your promise? That you'll buy Brother Christopher a new car."
"Yes, dear... I remember," Ethan nodded with a smile.
Christopher stared at them for a few seconds and nodded. "Good night."
"Wait, dear... Won't you have even a bite?"
"No, Mum... Good night!"
Christopher smiled at her over his shoulder and walked upstairs.
Amara turned her head to Katherine, then to Adonis.
"What happened to your brother? Why is he so..."
"Oh? Brother worked out... That's what he told us," Katherine said.
"Worked out? In a day?" Ethan asked, frowning slightly.
"We don't know... But it couldn't be just a day... That wouldn't be possible... Mm... I don't know," Adonis said, confused.
"Forget all this! I can now brag even more about my son!"
"Mum?! We're also your children!"
The two said in unison.
"I know," Amara answered with a smile.
Christopher stopped walking, seeing Leyla standing in front of his door, her arms folded behind her back.
"Why are you here, Leyla?" He asked, mildly confused.
"I have a question about Lazarus," she said calmly.
Christopher frowned slightly and walked up to her... He stopped just a foot away from her and smiled, Leyla's gaze fixed on his face.
"What question?" He asked.
"Lazarus belonged to the Supreme Tamer, right?"
Christopher was stunned; he grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside his room, closing the door.
"Huh?"
A maid was stunned, seeing his action.
'That slut! She's after the eldest master... But, I can't just go in there... I'll have to confront her,' she thought disdainfully.
Christopher pushed Leyla onto the bed and stared at her, frowning deeply.
"I don't understand your question."
Leyla sat up, staring at him:
"Lazarus is the late Supreme-level Tamer's first Beast... If you don't know, I'm his number one fan, and I know everything about him. That attack, [Ice Energy Blast] you used, is actually known as [Ice Breath]. You changed its name, right?"
Leyla stood up and walked towards him.
"I want to know how Lazarus is alive. He died with the Supreme Tamer, and... Wait, how did you even bring him back?"
Christopher stared at her for a few seconds and sighed... He walked past her and sat on the bed.
"Are you my friend?" He asked.
Leyla looked at him, confused. "We practically grew up together... I'm more than a friend to you. You've said that yourself."
"True..." Christopher nodded, looking up at her with an unreadable expression, thinking about how to answer.
"You heard about my encounter with a Mythical-stage Beast, right?"
Leyla nodded, waiting for him to continue.
"I discovered this." He showed her his ring.
Leyla observed the ring for a few seconds and shook her head. "That's just a normal Life Force ring."
"That's where you're wrong. This ring once belonged to the Supreme Tamer... When I picked it up..."
He paused.
"Go on," Leyla smiled at him.
"Make sure whatever I'm about to tell you doesn't fall on anyone else's ears, promise?"
Leyla smiled and nodded.
"Pinky promise?"
Leyla chuckled softly and held his pinky with hers, moving it from right to left, then separated with a smile.
Christopher smiled and continued:
"When I picked up the ring, I saw his soul fragment."
"The Supreme Tamer's soul fragment?" Leyla was dumbfounded.
"Yeah, he gave me an option: I either take his powers, knowledge, and control of his Beasts, and promise to avenge him, or drop the ring and leave."
"Avenge him? Does that mean the Supreme Tamer was murdered?" Leyla was shocked.
"What did you choose?" She inquired.
"Of course, I chose his powers, knowledge, and Beasts."
"Mmm... It's good you accepted, but did he tell you who killed him?"
"Yeah, he said the five Master-level Beast Tamers are the ones who killed him."
Leyla blinked in shock. "I don't get it. Those five were trained by the Supreme Tamer, and they were the most heartbroken by his death... Or was that all fake?"
"Of course, it was fake... If you don't believe me..."
Christopher rubbed his ring. "Lazarus, come out."
Blue smoke flew out, taking the form of the rhino.
"Lazarus, take your true form."
Lazarus turned its head to Leyla, then back to Christopher.
"It's okay, she's family," Christopher said.
Lazarus nodded, and blue light surrounded its figure. The next moment, a huge ice dragon appeared in front of them.
Leyla was so stunned she was speechless... She just stared at Lazarus, wide-eyed and open-mouthed, not knowing what to say or do.
"Can you stop staring at me, girl?"
Lazarus lowered its head to Leyla's face.
"You... You're Lazarus!!"
"Yes, I know my name." Lazarus raised its head and stared at the two.
"Do you believe me now?" Christopher asked with a smile.
Leyla nodded.
"So this is why you got so... built."
Christopher chuckled lightly, while Leyla continued:
"You brought Lazarus back; does that mean you can bring Lucas and Grim back?"
'Wow! She's truly my fan,' Christopher thought and sighed.
"I can, but I need their body parts... That reminds me... What about the vermilion flower?"
"Oh? It's right there." Leyla pointed at the red flaming flower on the table, adding, "Where are you getting the body parts?"
"From Rayon Danzig."
"Come again?!" Leyla was shocked.
"Rayon Danzig," Christopher repeated.
"Rayon Danzig, the Mafia boss and leader of the underground forces... He's one of the most dangerous men in the capital... There's no way he'll give up any part."
"Slow down. Just leave it to me... Tonight, I'll take the claw."
Knock! Knock! Knock!!
"Huh?"
The two turned their heads to the door.
"Son, who's with you inside? Open the door; I brought something for you."
The two looked at each other, confused and surprised.
"Is that...?"
