The two guys stood up and positioned themselves before the two siblings, their cold gazes fixed on Christopher.
"Run off, you four, or else."
Angus walked forward with the girls, and the six of them stood in front of Katherine and her brothers.
"You are outnumbered. Get lost, or we'll act," Angus said arrogantly.
"You..."
"Stop, Mariana..."
Adrian stopped his sister and turned to Christopher:
"We'll settle this another time."
With that said, he walked away with his sister and friends.
"That was so cool! I feel so good!!" Angus said with a smile.
"Yeah, Adrian has always been a bully at school... It's good to embarrass him for once," a girl said with a smile and turned to Katherine.
"Bestie! This is all thanks to you," she added.
"Oh? Not me; thank my broth-- Huh? Where is Elder Brother?" Katherine was stunned; Christopher was just standing by her right.
"Um... Kat, he's over there."
Katherine followed Adonis's finger and frowned, seeing Christopher walking towards Advika.
"Who really is that girl? Or did Brother like her?" she asked.
"Brother Christopher never likes any girl; he only uses them and dumps them later... Hmm."
"Bella, I need all the information on that girl."
"No worries, already got it... She's the daughter of a miner, Mr. Evander, who mined in one of Angus's family's mines... Recently, he got badly sick, and the family was thrown into suffering... Their mother started picking empty bottles and helping people just so she could feed her children... Seeing her family's conditions, the daughters awakened their life force... Shocking, right?"
Adonis chuckled and continued:
"When their mother and father discovered their talents, they used the money they had saved and got the two perfect-stage beasts... That was six months ago... And three months after getting her beast, Advika's life force became so intense that everyone in the town was horrified; they said she went into a rampage and set everywhere ablaze with flames hotter than fire itself... Can you believe that? Well... After the whole incident, they moved from their town to Exurb and started a new life... And her father resigned from the job because he's still sick."
Katherine blinked in surprise, staring at her brother as if he were a monster from hell.
"How did you know all this?" she asked.
"Angus and Bella helped, and mostly, Uncle's information."
"You mean Uncle helped in this? What did you tell him for him to help you?"
"Well... I told him his favorite nephew liked a girl and wanted to know her background," Adonis answered with a smile.
"Does Big Brother know about this?"
"Not yet."
"It seems they're leaving," Angus said, pointing at Christopher and the two sisters.
"Huh? He's deserting us because of a girl?!" Adonis was stunned.
"Not like you're any different, but... Should we follow him?" Katherine asked in mild confusion.
The two watched as the three stopped a taxi, got in, and drove away.
"....!!"
They were all stunned and subconsciously turned their heads to the white Lamborghini parked at the side.
"Did Big Brother leave such a good car and enter a cab with those two?" Katherine asked absentmindedly.
"Hopeless... At least he should have given me the key," Adonis said, while Katherine glared at him.
"You mean he should have left it with *me*."
"Huh?" Adonis was stunned.

[In The Cab.]
"Advika, what do you think about Chris?"
Sylvia whispered, staring at Christopher, who sat in the front passenger seat.
"What do you mean?" Advika asked in a flat tone.
"Why such a face? Look, he's handsome, powerful, and even kindhearted--"
"--Sylvia, this is not the time to be matchmaking... And I only see him as a friend, nothing more... At times, he's annoying, like now... Why is he following us to the Tamer Enterprises? When he could use his car?" she said, making sure Christopher heard every single word.
"Well... Maybe he ran out of fuel?"
Advika turned to her sister with a frown on her face: "Ran out of fuel? Don't you know who he is?"
Sylvia was silent; she thought for a moment and edged close to her sister, whispering in her ear.
"Maybe he likes you."
Cough!!!
Cough!!
Both Advika and Christopher coughed in unison... The two girls turned their heads to Christopher, who raised a hand.
"Sorry, I choked on my water."
They nodded, while he continued:
"What about you, Advika? Are you okay?"
"Yes," Advika answered and turned her head to Sylvia.
"Please stop, and I don't even like him... Stop."
Sylvia shrugged and relaxed on the seat.
At the front, the driver turned to Christopher, seeing no water in his hand... Christopher noticed his gaze and pointed ahead:
"Face the road."
"Yes," he quickly nodded and focused on driving.
Christopher relaxed on the seat, closing his eyes.
'I only followed you for two reasons... First, to know your quest, and second, to see the assassins Mariana will send, and also see how you'll repel them...' he thought.
Feeling something strange, Christopher opened his eyes and looked at the side mirror, seeing four black Audis driving towards them.
"Driver, take the highway!" he stated.
"Huh? But sir, it'll take longer to arrive--"
"--Shut up, and do it!!!" he yelled, turning to the driver, who, from fright, quickly turned to the highway.
"What's happening?!" Advika asked, hearing Christopher.
"We're being followed... And I'm guessing you two are their targets... Or maybe me," he said with a dark expression.
The two girls' faces instantly turned pale; they looked out from the back glass window, seeing a man each coming out of the cars behind them with MP5s (SMGs)... Next moment:
Advika: "Down, Sylvia!!"
RA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA!!!
The men opened fire on the taxi, shattering the back glass.
"Move faster!!" Christopher yelled at the driver, who was scared shitless.
"Ahh! I don't want to die!!"
With tears in his eyes, he opened the door and jumped out.
"...."
Christopher was stunned.
"What happened?!" Advika yelled, holding her sister down.
"The driver just jumped out."
Christopher moved to the driver's seat and held the steering wheel.
"Hold on, we're in for a ride."
He pushed the accelerator and drove onto the highway, with the four cars following behind.
And so… The race started.
