Dogs VS Lions

[Back To Christopher.]

[Hideout.]

"You should rest, Advika. I'll go and ask Christopher if you should continue." Sylvia stood up but was stopped by the exhausted Advika.

"No, I'm his disciple, and I need to follow his every order... He said I should feed my life force to Vicki, and that's what I'll do... Besides, it's not like I'm giving it to someone else," Advika said, staring at her sleeping beast.

Sylvia stared at her for a few seconds and sighed: "You've been doing this for an hour now... I'll have to go and ask Christopher where this will lead."

Sylvia stood up and walked outside the house, only to freeze in her tracks.

"Huh?"

She moved her stunned gaze around the horizon and slowly closed the door.

"What happened? Why are you so pale?" Advika asked in mild confusion.

"We... We... We're in the sky!!!!" Sylvia screamed in horror.

"..."

Advika and Vicki looked up at one another in confusion.

[Below The Hill: Northern Legion.]

On an open field surrounded by trees, ten one-meter-tall dogs, with two horns on their heads and long, terrifying teeth that could easily bite through bone, stood.

At the moment, they were all feasting on a huge beast, their attention focused on tearing the monster apart.

TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP!

The sound of heavy footsteps drew their attention, and with one swift turn, the ten dogs growled at the young man walking toward them.

"Who would have thought you guys would be here, Devil Dogs, known for your vicious characteristics, one of the most feared... What a nice catch."

Christopher said, still walking toward them, his head lowered.

GRRAAA!!!

The dogs let out low, threatening growls, but the human didn't even seem to be stopping or slowing down.

With killing instinct and bloodlust, the ten instantly lunged at the human, teeth and claws bared.

Christopher finally raised his head and observed the dogs charging toward him.

"I see you guys don't have manners; I'll have to teach you that."

The moment the dogs got five meters from him, a dense amount of life force burst out, instantly throwing the ten dogs backward.

BAM!!

They smashed heavily onto the ground.

"Again?" Christopher asked with a smile.

GRAAA!!!

The Devil Dogs stood up, vigorously shaking their heads... After regaining their senses, they cautiously observed the human before them... Some started circling him, looking for weaknesses.

"Oh? How smart you guys are... But let's see between dogs and lions, who really are the kings of the jungle."

He rubbed his ring, and instantly, ten red lights flew out and turned into ten fearsome-looking lions.

Although the lions were double the size of the Devil Dogs, the dogs were a lot stronger than them.

Christopher knew this but was just curious if the lions could live up to their name as the king of the jungle.

"Attack!! Don't hold back, but don't kill them."

With his command, the ten lions shot forward... Out of anger, the dogs also charged.

Christopher watched as the two forces collided; he folded his arms and silently observed.

In less than five minutes, the lions, who were more energetic at first, were now slowing down... While the dogs gained the upper hand, their only disadvantage was they couldn't inflict any damage because of the lions' flaming fur.

Christopher turned his head to the leader of the lions and nodded. The male was as strong as always... It was busy throwing the dogs around like throwing useless twigs.

GRRRAAAA!!

A silent growl caught Christopher's attention; he turned to a tree, seeing another dog... But unlike the others whose fur was black, this dog's fur was red... Its eyes were crimson, as it fixed them on the male lion.

Christopher brought out the tamer badge and scanned the red Devil Dog.

{Name Given: N/A.}

{Species: Wild Devil Dog.}

{Stage: Legendary.}

{Combat Strength: Lv8.}

{Skills (3): [Eyes of Horror], [Gas of Pain], [Smoke Speed].}

"Oh? This might be the ruler of these guys... Why don't we have some fun? Simba! Get that red dog down from the tree!" Christopher yelled, pointing at the red dog.

Simba threw away the dog in its jaws and turned around to the tree.

"Simba! Use [Flame Bolt]!" Christopher added.

Simba opened its mouth and released a bolt of red, cracking flames, which collided with the tree.

The dog stood up, staring at Simba with pure killing instinct.

Before Christopher could think of anything, the dogs' leader instantly turned into smoke, disappearing from the flaming tree.

'This might be [Smoke Speed],' Christopher thought and turned to Simba.

"Simba! [Fire Wall], and all of you... Use [Fire Quake]."

Simba nodded and created a wall of fire around itself, while the other lions smashed both their front paws on the ground.

BOOM!!

Torrents of hellfire burst out from the ground, throwing the unsuspecting dogs meters away.

"Nicely done! They might be stronger, but with the right strategy, nothing can stop us."

Christopher froze; the hair on his neck instantly stood upright, and without hesitation, he leaped to the side.

Whoosh!!!

He dodged the claws of the leader, who landed a few meters in front of him... Christopher landed, staring at the dog with a deep frown.

"You! If I wasn't strong enough, you would have succeeded in your ambush... But that just made me annoyed."

Christopher flicked his wrist, and a long sword formed entirely from life force appeared in his hand.

"If you want to attack someone, attack in front... Show them you're the strongest and give them no excuses if you win," Christopher said.

GRRAAAAA!

The dog let out a growl.

Christopher sighed and infused his life force into his sword:

"I'll have to tame you by force."

With a swing of his sword, a powerful energy blade filled with life force moved and collided heavily with the dogs' leader.

BOOM!!!

The dog fell twenty meters away from Christopher, smoke rising from its burnt fur.

"That was easy; I thought you'd put up a valid fight," Christopher said in mild surprise, slowly lowering his sword.

With a shake of its head, the dog stood up shakily... It moved its gaze around and settled it on Christopher.

GRRAAAAA!!!

It shot forward in a frenzy; the other nine stood up and followed its action... Attacking Christopher from different directions.

Christopher yawned and gave one command:

"Kneel."

BOOM!

A dense amount of killing instinct burst out from Christopher, enveloping the ten dogs.

Weee!

The dogs stopped in their tracks, slowly moving backward, whimpering in fear.

Christopher moved his gaze over the dogs and smirked: "You all now belong to me."

[Cordelia: Unknown Location.]

In a huge wooden warehouse, a man whose face was concealed with a half-mask sat on a sofa with a cigarette between his lips. His gaze was fixed on the four people walking inside.

"What happened?! And where is the goddess's successor?!" the man yelled.

The four looked at one another, and Death-Flames stepped forward:

"There was some slight obstacle, but it won't happen next time, Master," he said.

The man stared at him, his eyes narrowed:

"Slight obstacle?! What slight obstacle that the four lords of the Golden Organization can't take care of?!"

"The Valhalla family," Eagle-Eye revealed.

The man remained silent, thinking about the family... A few seconds later, he scoffed and simply waved his hand, sending a powerful life force blast, which accurately collided with the four, throwing them meters away.

BAM!!

They all fell heavily onto the ground, throwing up mouthfuls of blood... They looked up at the man in confusion and shock.

"A puny family dares to stop my plan?!"

He stood up, the energy of a supreme tamer spreading out from his body.

"I see ants have grown wings; even a small family thinks they're now as strong as the former tamer... Hahaha!" He laughed out loud.

The four stood up, staring at the boss in mild terror.

"The Valhalla family! It seems I'll have to take you down before getting to the goddess's successor... Well, that won't be a problem."

He looked at the four and smirked:

"To take down a huge tree, you need to dig out the foundation... So our first target is Ethan... Do you four think you can take care of him?"

"Leave him to me!" Earth-Fist quickly stepped forward.

The man scoffed at him and sat down. He moved his gaze over the four and started:

"Ethan might look weak and humble, but he's a legendary tamer, with two mythical-stage beasts... To speak of attacking him, you need to first get past his ten bodyguards, who are all legendary tamers, with each having at least one legendary-stage beast... These guys are professional killers and always hide in the shadows."

He looked at them and shook his head:

"Do you think the Valhalla family doesn't have enemies? They're in that position because their enemies are afraid of them... And now, the eldest son has gained some increase in strength, which will make killing them even harder... So you won't be going; you'll be sending my guardians."

The four blinked, unsure whether they should be more shocked by the news of the guardians or the security and strength of the Valhalla family.
