Reaper

The wolf opened its maw and unleashed a torrent of obsidian energy toward Phillip.

"Fool!" he scoffed. "Beasts!"

His three beasts, the hulking bear, serpentine viper, and a venomous spider, moved, positioning themselves in a defensive formation before him, facing the oncoming attack.

"I know you guys are weakened, but we need to overcome this monstrosity! One last time, unleash your ultimate attacks!"

The three beasts nodded, their eyes glowing with a desperate resolve, and unleashed their combined, powerful beams of energy toward the wolf's singular, devastating attack.

BOOM!!

The two energies collided with a deafening roar, instantly sending shockwaves rippling outwards, shaking the very ground and stirring the dust into a swirling frenzy.

"Don't give up! We've got this!"

Phillip flicked his wrist, and a crimson card materialized in his hand, its edges glowing with a faint, infernal light. "Rage card! It increases the attack potency of any beast by 50%... The commander specifically instructed me to only utilize this in dire emergencies, so I'll have to expend it now!"

He hurled the card toward the colossal shadow viper before him.

"It's a dire predicament that I possess only one of these... And cannot amplify the strength of all three beasts simultaneously."

He gritted his teeth, his jaw clenched in frustration, as the card touched the viper, its energy seeping into the creature's form.

A crimson light enveloped the beast, its scales shimmering with a hellish glow. Its eyes burned with a newfound, savage intensity.

"Now! Obliterate that fiend!" Phillip yelled, his voice laced with desperate command.

SCREECH!!

With a piercing shriek that echoed across the ravaged battlefield, the fearsome darkness bloodline snake amplified its attack, its shadowy energy surging with renewed vigor, now pushing the wolf backward.

"Yes! Don't relent! Keep pressing the assault!" Phillip urged, his voice filled with a mixture of hope and anxiety.

GRRAAA!

The wolf let out a guttural growl, its crimson eyes blazing with primal fury, and added more power to its dark energy attack, instantly overwhelming the viper's enhanced assault and pushing the three beasts back.

"This?" Phillip was horrified, his eyes widening in disbelief.

"Impossible! How can one Mythical-stage beast withstand the combined assault of three Legendary-stage beasts?"

"Because you made a mistake!"

He turned his head, his gaze darting upwards, staring at Christopher, who hovered a few meters above him, his form radiating an aura of calm power.

"You can, fly?" Phillip was stunned, his voice laced with incredulity.

"That wolf is a Rare Blood Wolf... And it possesses the rare bloodline known as 'Blood,' a lineage of exceptional ferocity and power."

"Uh?"

Phillip was dumbfounded, his mind reeling with the implications.

"Yes, it has the Blood bloodline, and against Blood, Darkness bloodlines inherently possess a Disadvantage."

"How the hell do you know that?! Are you some kind of walking encyclopedia of beasts?!" Phillip yelled, his voice filled with frustration and a hint of fear.

Whoosh!

BOOM!!

He watched in horror as the wolf's devastating energy blast collided with his beasts, throwing them backward with tremendous force. The beasts were rendered unconscious, their forms limp, black blood oozing from their grievous injuries.

GRAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

The wolf let out a victorious roar, its voice echoing with primal triumph, and began moving toward the fallen beasts, intent on finishing them off.

"This?!" Phillip was horrified, his eyes wide with fear, taking a panicked step backward.

"Leave this to me."

Christopher summoned his life force sword, its blade shimmering with an ethereal golden light, and shot toward the wolf with blinding speed.

"Darkness bloodlines have a disadvantage, so I cannot utilize the Devil Dogs or Skeletons, whose powers are rooted in darkness... The Blood Eagles would have a fighting chance, but they are currently too weakened to pose a significant threat." He smirked, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Water, after all, is the fundamental weakness of Blood." he said, his voice laced with a knowing tone, increasing his speed toward the wolf.

"Zarus! Emerge!"

The space behind the wolf rippled, a shimmering portal opening, and the powerful rhinoceros, Lazarus, walked out, its massive form radiating an aura of power.

"Zarus! Use [Eyes Frost]!!" He yelled, his voice sharp and commanding.

The wolf noticed the small human flying toward it, its crimson eyes narrowing with predatory intent. It stopped its advance and swung its claws at Christopher with lightning speed.

Whoosh!

With a graceful move of his body, Christopher evaded the attack, his movements fluid and precise. With a downward slash of his life force sword, he cut the huge arm, the blade slicing through the air with a sound like tearing silk.

CLANK!!

The sound of blade meeting an incredibly dense material rang out, a metallic clang that echoed across the battlefield.

"Uh?"

Christopher quickly flew away, avoiding a potential counterattack, his eyes widening slightly.

"Its skin is as hard as tempered steel...?" he smirked, a hint of excitement in his eyes. "Change of plan... I must possess it!"

He stopped 50 meters from the wolf, his eyes glowing with a determined light.

"Zarus! Alter the strategy, use [Ice Energy Blast]!"

Lazarus nodded, its massive head lowering, and opened its maw, a swirling vortex of blue energy materializing within. With a mental command from Christopher, it unleashed the terrifying attack, a beam of pure, freezing energy.

'My turn... With all my accumulated knowledge from my previous life, I know I can refine and reform this skill into something far more potent,'

He thought, raising his sword above his head, holding the handle with both hands, his knuckles white with the force of his grip.

Golden life force erupted from his chest, flowing through his arms, into the sword handle, and traveling along the blade, its light growing brighter with each passing moment.

"This... Only Supreme Tamers, those who have reached the pinnacle of their abilities, should be capable of manipulating golden life force with such mastery, who really is this enigmatic individual?" Phillip thought in mild confusion, his mind filled with unanswered questions.

Whoosh!

The wolf sensed the immense power of the attack, its primal instincts screaming of imminent danger, and raised its head toward Christopher, its eyes filled with a mix of fear and rage.

...Christopher's attack was currently far stronger than Lazarus's, its raw power exceeding even the wolf's formidable defenses, so the beast detected his as the largest threat.

BOOM!!!

Lazarus's attack collided with the wolf's back, a wave of freezing energy erupting upon impact.

GRAAAA!

It let out a pained growl, its voice filled with agony, and fell face-first to the ground, its massive form shaking the earth.

"Accurate hit... Good, that will surely diminish its remaining health points significantly!"

Christopher closed his eyes, his mind focused on the task at hand, and snapped them open, but now, they were glowing with an intense golden light, radiating an aura of divine power.

"Now!"

With a downward slash of his golden sword, a colossal golden sword blade, measuring 1,000 meters long, descended upon the prone form of the huge wolf, its light cutting through the air like a celestial comet.

Lazarus leaped out of the way of the devastating attack, its massive form moving with surprising agility, while the blade accurately collided with the wolf, its power obliterating the land behind the beast, leaving a deep, smoking chasm.

"Ahh!!"

"..."

"....?!!!!"

"Uh??!!"

Everyone was horrified, their eyes wide with terror and awe. The Commander and every single soldier on the wall were stunned, their minds reeling from the sheer power they had witnessed, staring at Christopher as if he were a demon from hell, a being of unimaginable power.

BAM!!

The Wolf's body stirred, its massive form twitching, its eyes flickering open.

"Still alive!!" Phillip almost spat out blood, his voice filled with disbelief and a hint of fear.

"Mythical-stage beasts are truly terrifying, and this one possesses the combat strength of Level 8!"

Christopher calmly landed on the ground, his movements graceful and precise, and slowly walked toward the huge wolf, his eyes fixed on the beast's crimson gaze.

HUFF!!

The wolf exhaled in rage, its breath coming in ragged gasps, its body battered and broken, its energy and life force depleted, its health critically low. It was teetering on the brink of death.

"Hmm..."

Christopher stared into the crimson eyes of the wolf, his gaze piercing the beast's primal fury, and slowly raised his hand, stretching it toward the beast, his fingers glowing with a faint golden light.

"What's he doing?" Someone asked, their voice filled with a mixture of curiosity and fear.

"Impossible! Don't tell me he's planning to tame such a beast!" Phillip was flabbergasted, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Golden light emanated from Christopher's open palm, surging towards the massive wolf.

BOOM!!

The golden light erupted, engulfing the wolf's form in a blinding radiance. Everyone watched, their breaths held captive, as Christopher continued to channel his life force into the towering pillar of energy. After what seemed like an eternity, the energy wave exploded outwards, unleashing a powerful sonic boom that swept across the battlefield, throwing Phillip and the soldiers to the ground.

"This?!" Phillip exclaimed, pushing himself up, his gaze fixed on Christopher in stunned disbelief.

Coo!

"Ah!"

A collective gasp swept through the onlookers as they beheld the small red fur cub standing in the crater, its large, innocent red eyes fixed on Christopher.

"Hmm..."

Lazarus lumbered to a halt beside Christopher.

"Did he just tame such a terrifying beast?" A soldier whispered, his voice laced with awe and apprehension.

Phillip was lost, his mind struggling to comprehend what he had just witnessed. He stared at Christopher, his expression a mixture of fear, respect, and utter bewilderment, as if he were gazing upon a being from another realm.

Christopher gently scooped up the cub, its fur soft beneath his touch, and placed it on his right shoulder, where it settled comfortably.

"Welcome to the family," he said, his voice soft and warm. "I'll call you... Reaper."
