"Did??"
The four remaining members of the Valhalla family were utterly speechless, the scene that had just unfolded leaving them lost for words.
"You!" The muscular man lying on the floor groaned, his words slurred, several of his teeth dislodged from the impact.
Christopher crouched down, tapping the man's head twice with a casual air. "I told you," he said, his voice devoid of emotion, "but you wouldn't listen. So, I had to do it." He stood up and turned to his mother. "What do you think, Mum? Should I spare them?"
Amara fixed the five prone figures with a look of utter disdain. "You should all consider yourselves lucky that I don't want my son's hands stained with your pathetic blood."
Hearing her words, the four still standing exchanged confused glances.
"But..." Amara continued, her voice hardening, "you fools came here with the intent to kill us. Such aggression cannot be easily forgiven. Therefore, my son will take both your arms and destroy your cores. We shall see just how arrogant you are when you are nothing but powerless husks!"
Oh? Mum is truly ruthless. I was merely going to damage their cores, leaving them with a sliver of life force. But destroying them entirely? That will leave them utterly powerless, a slow and undoubtedly painful demise within a couple of months.
Christopher glanced at the expressions on Ethan's, Adonis', and Katherine's faces, recognizing the same grim understanding in their eyes.
"Alright then... I always listen to my mother. Let's start with you." Christopher placed his foot on the chest of the muscular man, who surprisingly still hadn't lost consciousness. "Goodbye to your powers!"
CRACK!!
The sickening sound of bone breaking echoed through the room, followed by a bloodcurdling shriek.
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!"
The man's scream was so piercing that it drew the attention of every member of the mansion staff. They all rushed to the edge of the dining hall, watching the horrifying scene unfold from a distance.
"Why are you screaming?" Christopher asked, his tone almost clinical. "It's really not that painful." He removed his foot from the man's chest and placed it on his right hand.
"No. No. No." The man whimpered.
CRACK!!!
"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
His renewed scream, coupled with Christopher's cold ruthlessness, sent shivers down Katherine's spine and caused several of the female staff members to gasp and clutch their chests.
Leyla stood to the side, observing the scene with a raised eyebrow, a thoughtful expression on her face.
'Why is Christopher suddenly so heartless? He was always such a sweet and gentle boy, never even harming an insect, let alone breaking a human's bones with such indifference... Could the Supreme Tamer's fragment have triggered this change?'
"Huh? This one fainted," Christopher said with a mild chuckle. "Well... I know just how to wake him up." He raised his leg again, positioning it over the man's left arm.
"Stop this!! This is your final warning!!" The thin man yelled at Christopher, his voice laced with desperation.
"Final warning? Did you issue a warning before you smashed down our door and attacked my family?" Christopher asked, a sardonic smile playing on his lips as he exerted pressure on his leg.
CRACK!!!!
"AHHHH!!"
The unconscious man jolted awake, letting out another agonizing scream before mercifully losing consciousness once more.
"Really?" Christopher exclaimed, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Honestly, how can this guy be your leader? I've only broken a few bones, and he's fainted twice already."
"You!!!" Unable to contain their rage any longer, the four remaining intruders frantically touched the rings on their fingers and roared in unison, "Come out!"
WHOOSH!!!
Four beams of light erupted from their rings, solidifying into four terrifying beasts before them. They were massive golden gorillas, their eyes burning with primal fury as they fixed their gaze on Christopher.
"Hmm... Impressive. All Legendary stage beasts, with a combat strength around Level 7... Truly remarkable," Christopher said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Hey!! How dare you?! Attack! Tear this ignorant fool to pieces!!" At the thin man's command, the four colossal gorillas lunged towards Christopher.
"Brother! Watch out!" Both Adonis and Katherine cried out in alarm.
"Kneel!"
An overwhelming wave of killing intent erupted from Christopher, slamming into the four charging beasts. Instantly, the legendary-stage gorillas froze mid-leap, their powerful bodies collapsing onto their knees, trembling violently in abject terror.
"This! Impossible! How can a pampered city boy possess such potent killing intent?!" The thin man shrieked, stumbling backward in fear.
"Only warriors who have slaughtered thousands of humans can unleash such a dense aura of death!" another added, his face pale with disbelief.
Ethan and Amara exchanged bewildered glances. What the intruders said was true. Such intense killing intent was the mark of a seasoned killer. How could their son, Christopher, who had never been a warrior and had only recently awakened as a tamer, possess such a terrifying aura?
Christopher tilted his head to the side, a flicker of confusion in his eyes. "I have no idea what you fools are babbling about. But I do know it's time to end this charade."
Whoosh!
Before the four could react, Christopher vanished from his spot, reappearing in the exact same location an instant later.
The next moment brought a series of sickening cracks.
CRACK!!! CRACK!!! CRACK!!! CRACK!!!
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!"
The intruders screamed in unison as, before everyone's stunned eyes, their arms' bones shattered, their limbs becoming limp and useless. The four men crumpled to their knees, vomiting mouthfuls of blood onto the polished floor.
"You?! You destroyed our cores in mere seconds! Who in the heavens are you?! What level are you on?!" The thin man gasped, his face ashen, his eyes wide with terror.
The four golden gorillas dissolved into trails of light, returning to their tamer's rings.
Christopher casually dusted his hands, as if removing invisible dirt, and walked back towards the dining table. "You can leave with your lives. That is already a significant privilege, so don't ask any further questions... Please," he said, addressing the guards who were still rooted to the spot in shock, "escort them out of here, and find someone to clean this blood."
The guards finally snapped out of their daze, quickly moving forward to drag the four groaning figures, along with their still-unconscious leader, out of the villa.
Christopher sat down at the table, his gaze meeting the bewildered stares of his family, who looked at him as if he were a creature from another realm.
"Why the long faces? Come on... let's eat," he said, picking up his spoon as if nothing extraordinary had just occurred.
Ethan nodded to the house staff, who quickly dispersed, attempting to resume their duties while undoubtedly reeling from what they had witnessed.
"Big Brother." Katherine slowly sat down, her gaze fixed on Christopher, who had already begun to eat his cooling meal. "What level are you on?" she finally asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Christopher paused, his spoon halfway to his mouth, and looked at his family. They had all taken their seats, but their attention was entirely focused on him, their eyes filled with a mixture of awe, fear, and utter bewilderment.
"Well..."
He began, a thoughtful expression on his face.
