Chapter 94: The Sharp Corner Calamity

Chen Jinfar gets so angry he grits his teeth whenever he talks about that master.

"That damn Master Wang said that by setting up a feng shui array, he could guarantee my luck would turn around and the project would go smoothly."

"I heard him explain it convincingly, so I let him give it a try."

"He took a compass and did a series of maneuvers on the construction site, placing a wooden branch here and a tiger-head ornament there, thumping his chest and assuring me that we could start the work without any problems."

"Eager to advance the schedule, I had the workers work overtime at night, but that night, many of them saw a clay doll running around. In the blink of an eye, the clay doll disappeared."

"One of the workers nearly got hit by a brick that suddenly fell from above!"

"Another worker was pushed by something and fell from a higher floor, breaking his bones."

"Thankfully, no one died, but the workers were all so scared that they ran away!"

"That son of a bitch is a fraud!" Chen Jinfar spat, his face filled with malevolence, speaking fiercely.

"Damn it, the loss of money is a small matter, but wasting my time is a big deal! With no one starting work and the delivery date being delayed, I want him to pay with his life!" At this point, the mall had been completely demolished, but the foundation hadn't been laid yet, and the site was covered with ruins.

Such a large construction site, without a single worker, it's quite desolate.

"Good thing I was cautious and only paid half the money yesterday. I've already issued a wanted notice to my friends in the underworld. After I wrap up this matter, I'll settle accounts with him!"

"Manager Lu, I'm laying my cards on the table! If you can take it, take it. If not, don't waste my time!"

As he spoke, he fixed his intense gaze on Lu Fei.

Lu Fei remained calm and said, "Brother Fa, he didn't completely deceive you. At least, the feng shui of this mall is indeed not good."

"How is it not good?" Chen Jinfah frowned, "The location of this mall isn't bad; it's on a major thoroughfare with several commercial streets nearby. This area has decent foot traffic!"

Lu Fei smiled and said, "A good location doesn't necessarily mean good feng shui. Brother Fa, look at those buildings across the road. Aren't they all pointing their sharp corners towards here?"

Chen Jinfah looked up and squinted his eyes, "It seems so."

"One sharp corner might be manageable, but all those buildings over there have their sharp corners pointed this way. This is called 'sharp corner sha'. When the sharp corner sha directly faces the main position, it is prone to cause accidents, fires, and casualties." Lu Fei pointed at the buildings as he spoke.

Sharp corner sha is a common type of feng shui problem, but here, the sharp corner sha is particularly severe.

  "Fire?!"

  Chen Jinfɑ's eyes suddenly widened.

"There has indeed been a fire in this mall, not just once, seriously affecting business. They say the fire safety measures were inadequate, so they decided to demolish and rebuild it!

"Not bad, Manager Lu. Just for this, you're more capable than that damn Master Wang! What he said about the Green Dragon and White Tiger having gaps, I'm following that to counteract it.

"I, Brother Fa, admire capable people. As long as you can help me solve this problem, I will definitely not mistreat you!

His eyes showed a bit more appreciation.

Although this young man is young, he turned out to have some skill.

In fact, he had specifically inquired and found out that the Su family had indeed invited the junior manager from Sinisterium Pawnshop, which is why he called Lu Fei.

"Brother Fa, take it easy. The issue with your construction site might not just be due to feng shui. Didn't you dig up a small coffin? Let's wait until I take a look before we decide." Lu Fei smiled.

"I had the workers retrieve the coffin and place it in a makeshift shed."

Chen Jinfahad a short temper and immediately led Lu Fei through the messy construction site to the temporary prefab house.

The prefab house had three rooms.

One was a temporary office, and the other two were resting places for the workers on duty.

The small coffin was placed in the office.

The bodyguard opened the door, and Chen Jinfa, with his thick, stubby fingers adorned with a gold ring, pointed at the desk.

"Manager Lu, the small coffin is on the table. The more I looked at it, the more eerie it seemed, so I had someone cover it with a tablecloth."

Lu Fei and Hu Zi walked in and stood by the table.

After putting on gloves, he lifted the tablecloth.

A bright red small coffin appeared.

This coffin, in both its design and craftsmanship, was made like a regular coffin, but it was much smaller in scale, only half a meter long.

It looks very delicate, but there are three small holes on the coffin lid.

"Brother Fa, these three holes were where the nails were originally, right?" Lu Fei asked.

  "That's right." Chen Jinfat nodded.

  "Where are the nails?"

"Didn't I tell the workers to throw all these things away at that time? The small coffin was found, but I don't know where the nails went."

Lu Fei didn't say anything and reached out to open the coffin lid.

Inside the small coffin, there was only a pile of broken chunks of clay, and the clay doll was nowhere to be seen.

"The clay doll was broken. These are all that could be recovered," Chen Jinfat explained with a bitter smile.

Lu Fei examined the remnants carefully and among the broken pieces of clay, he found some things that resembled human fingernails and hair.

  This discovery stirred his heart.

Whether it's a clay figure, a paper figure, or a scarecrow, as long as something from a person's body or their birth date and time is added, it can become a substitute for that person.

This clay doll should be a replacement for someone, buried here.

"Brother Fa, where did you dig up this small coffin?" After thinking for a while, Lu Fei asked.

"It was at the piling location over there. I'll take you there. Oh, by the way, make sure to wear a safety helmet. Last night, if the workers hadn't been wearing helmets, they would have been seriously injured!"

Chen Jinfahad his bodyguards bring over a few helmets. They dusted them off, and everyone put them on one by one.

Then, the bodyguard led the way, guiding everyone to the piling location.

  "It's here."

Chen Jinfa stopped in front of a large pit, where several concrete piles were partially poured.

The entire construction site was still in the initial stage of piling and wall building.

In other words, Chen Jinfa encountered trouble right after his project had just begun.

With such an inauspicious start, no wonder he's anxious.

"Where exactly?" Lu Fei squatted by the pit and looked inside.

"Over there, see it? There was a concrete pile, and we found it when we were dismantling the pile." Chen Jinfɑ pointed in a direction below.

"So the small coffin was taken out from the concrete pile?" Lu Fei's eyebrows twitched, as he had a hunch.

"Yeah, what's the problem?" Chen Jinfɑ looked at Lu Fei.

"Brother Fa, have all the concrete piles here been dismantled?" Instead of answering, Lu Fei asked another question.

"Not all of them. Two piles didn't need to be moved, so I left them. Saving a little is better, right?"

Lu Fei looked again and noticed that two of the concrete piles were more aged, clearly different in color from the others, and more intact.

  "It's those two, right?"

"Yes, what's the issue, Manager Lu?" Chen Jinfɑ scratched his head anxiously, "If you see something, just say it! I hate it when people beat around the bush!"

"Brother Fa, don't rush, let me go check it out first,"

Lu Fei got up and walked along the large pit to the two thick cement pillars. After looking at them for a while, he directly jumped into the pit.
