The dark shadow, like a ghost, passed through the crowd's legs silently and suddenly lunged at Jing Jian.
Everyone's eyes were focused on Jing Jian's peach wood sword. When they suddenly saw a dark shadow jump out, they didn't know what was happening.
Lu Fei turned his head and saw a set of sharp canine teeth, instantly shocked.
"Watch out!"
Jing Jian felt a chill from behind and instinctively dodged forward.
The sharp teeth bit into his pants, tearing them with a fierce pull, exposing his red underwear.
Lu Fei immediately kicked out.
The dark figure dodged agilely, emitting a fierce growl.
"Woof woof woof!"
Only then did everyone realize it was a large, imposing black wolfhound.
The wolfhound's eyes glowed green, and bits of fabric still clung to its sharp fangs. Its back arched, and its gaze flashed with a menacing light.
"Ah Hao, isn't this your dog?" Chen Jinfah asked in surprise, "Why is it suddenly biting people? Has it got rabies?"
"My dogs are all vaccinated. How could they have rabies?" Jiang Hao was also bewildered.
His dog had been well-trained by his wife and never went upstairs. Why did it suddenly run up and bite someone today?
"Jiang, did you do this on purpose?" Jing Jian said, clutching his buttocks, his face full of fear.
If not for Lu Fei's timely reminder, he would have dodged too slowly and it wouldn't just be his pants that were torn, but his buttocks as well.
"If I wanted to deal with you, would I do it at such a critical moment?"
Jiang Hao frowned and waved forcefully at the large wolf dog.
"Hei Zi, get out! Get out quickly, don't cause trouble here..."
However, before he could finish his words, the wolf dog barked and lunged at Jing Jian again.
Its sharp teeth glinted with a cold, chilling light.
Jing Jian's heart sank, and he hastily swung his peachwood sword to block it.
But an adult, ferocious dog gone mad is hard for anyone to hold off, and Jing Jian was in a fluster.
"This dog is not acting right!" Lu Fei shouted, grabbing several toys and throwing them at the fierce wolf dog, "Everyone, help out quickly!"
Seeing this, Hu Zi immediately raised his ghost-headed saber and slashed at the wolf dog.
A Long, on the other hand, protected Chen Jinfah and Jiang Hao.
"Woof woof woof!"
The nursery was in chaos.
The wolf-dog lunged and bit like it was mad, completely disregarding any cost, even if it got hurt; it desperately drove everyone away from the crib.
Soon, its body was drenched in blood as it stood guard by the crib, not allowing anyone to approach the little monster.
Everyone instantly realized.
This big wolf-dog wasn't really crazy; it was here to protect the little monster.
"Why does this dog look like a mother dog protecting her pups?" Chen Jinfah asked curiously.
"Could it be because that's Xiao Ya's child? This dog was the one Xiao Ya saved from a dog dealer, and it's usually the most loyal to her," Jiang Hao didn't understand either.
Jing Jian, holding his buttocks and sweating profusely, said, "It must be that little monster playing tricks! He's neither human nor dog, so he might have a way to control your dogs."
"No!"
Lu Fei narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the large wolf-dog.
"There's yin energy, this dog is possessed!"
"Dogs can be possessed too?" The crowd was utterly shocked.
With Lu Fei's words, they then noticed the icy cold aura emanating from the large wolfhound. Its beastly eyes were an oddly intense green as well.
"This is called a yin dog. Dogs themselves do not have spirits, but they can be refined, just like the ghost crows in the hands of spirit raisers," Lu Fei said, frowning.
"I'm afraid that little monster really is its offspring."
"Shopkeeper Lu, what do you mean by this?" Jiang Hao immediately grew anxious.
"There must be a small yin dog attached to the fetus, causing your child to become a half-human, half-dog monstrosity. And that small yin dog is the offspring of this large yin dog," Lu Fei speculated.
"So that's how it is, the world actually has such bizarre creatures!" Chen Jinfah was dumbfounded.
Jiang Hao, though still surprised, let out a long breath, finally feeling relieved.
No matter how unbelievable this truth was, it was better than his wife having an affair with a dog.
But he still couldn't figure it out: "Why do these shadow dogs want to harm my wife and child?"
"Maybe my wife encountered something unclean when she was pregnant, or offended someone, but the priority now is not to worry about this. Let's capture these two shadow dogs first!"
Lu Fei's gaze was sharp as a torch.
The large wolf dog seemed to be shrouded in a layer of shadow, with its back arched, and it stared at everyone with those eerie green eyes, guarding the crib firmly behind it.
The little mutant in the crib was much quieter, the rate at which the yin energy was dissipating from its body was slowing down, and its wounds seemed to be healing.
Lu Fei turned his head and glanced at the sky outside the window.
It was getting late. At night, yin energy would prevail over yang energy, and who knows what other changes might occur.
"A dog's weakness is its nose! Brother Jing, are you still up for it?" Lu Fei urged.
"Of course I am!"
Jing Jian immediately lifted his chest, but the red underwear on his backside became visible. He blushed and quickly covered it with his hand.
"Manager Lu, please take action," Jiang Hao said worriedly.
This Jing Jian seems to have some skills, but not many.
After a series of actions, the problem was not solved, and instead, he ended up in a sorry state.
"Brother Hao, if you want me to take action, we need to follow Sinisterium Pawnshop's rules. This little freak is of no use to me, and can only be sold alive," Lu Fei said calmly.
"No problem!" Jiang Hao immediately nodded.
"For safety, please have Brother Hao and Brother Fa leave first, while Hu Zi and Brother Jing stay to help," Lu Fei said as he took out his lightning-struck jujube wood stick.
"Alright! Manager Lu, be careful!"
They immediately withdrew.
The door was locked.
Holding their weapons, the three of them, Lu Fei, formed a surrounding formation and cautiously approached the large wolf dog that was possessed by the shadow hound.
"Woof!"
The big wolfhound's green eyes flashed with ferocity, and a threatening growl rumbled in its throat, all the hair on its body standing on end at this moment.
"Attack!"
At Lu Fei's command, the three immediately sprang into action.
Jing Jian swung his peachwood sword towards the black nose of the large wolfhound, which instantly dodged. Hu Zi's ghost-head saber followed closely, but only managed to slash the wolfhound's back.
Unfazed by its injury, the large wolfhound bared its teeth and lunged for a bite.
The two hurriedly dodged, the sharp teeth just grazing their clothes.
Meanwhile, Lu Fei attacked with his jujube wood stick.
The faint electric glow on the stick caused instinctive wariness to flicker in the wolfhound's eyes, and it quickly jumped back with its powerful limbs.
The stick missed.
But immediately after, the peachwood sword and the ghost-head knife came again.
Everyone worked together with all their might, not giving the large dog any chance. The large dog, pushed to desperation, let out a ferocious bark.
The little monster in the crib seemed to sense something, its tiny limbs struggling desperately as if trying to climb out of the bed.
"Don't give them a chance!"
Lu Fei shouted.
These yin dogs are very vengeful. If you don't kill them, they will keep tormenting you until they kill you!
