"Is it the child in red?"
Lu Fei immediately pressed his eyes close to the glass.
Dust blurred his vision.
The child was sitting alone in the silent classroom, his face not clear, but he was definitely not wearing red.
"Who is he? Why did he run into this haunted kindergarten?"
"Could it be another lost child?"
Lu Fei and Jing Jian exchanged a glance, then hurriedly pushed open the classroom door and rushed in.
However.
The small desk in the corner was empty, without even a shadow.
They searched the entire classroom, but there was no sign of the child.
This classroom has only one main door, and the windows, due to long neglect, cannot be opened. There's no way that child could have escaped through any other place.
"So, there's only one possibility."
"It's the ghost of a child, perhaps one who died here in the past."
In places where the yin energy is too heavy, even during broad daylight, a ghost might appear.
"Lu Fei, once we find the doll, let's perform an exorcism for that child. It's quite pitiful for him to be all alone in this kindergarten." Jing Jian sighed.
"Okay."
Lu Fei nodded.
Finding no doll in this classroom, they went to search other places.
The overall area of the kindergarten was not large.
The two of them searched through the classrooms, cafeteria, nap rooms, and other places, but found nothing.
There are plenty of toys and dolls, but there's no doll wearing a red dress.
"The kindergarten has such a heavy aura of yin, those evil objects must still be here. Where could they be hiding?" Lu Fei looked around.
Woof woof!
From the direction of the kitchen, suddenly came Little Black's barking.
"Little Black has found something, Brother Jing, let's go over there quickly!"
The two jogged over and saw Little Black standing in front of a set of cabinets at the back of the kitchen.
"What's here?"
Lu Fei moved the dusty cabinet aside and was surprised to find that there was a very concealed door here.
On the door hung a large, rusted lock.
"How could there be a room here? The layout is so unreasonable!"
Tell Lu Fei directly that there's definitely a problem, and with a few kicks, he smashed open the door, causing dust to fly towards them immediately.
It was pitch black inside.
Clearly it was an enclosed space, with no source of light.
Lu Fei turned on his flashlight and shone it in.
Dust swirled as a deathly pale little face suddenly appeared in the dim light.
"Be careful!"
Both of them were startled.
Upon closer inspection, they found it was actually a very lifelike doll.
The doll was about 30 centimeters tall, with the face of a child, but dressed in a set of old-fashioned burial clothes, sitting motionless on a shelf.
"Isn't this the burial clothing for an elderly person? Why is it on a doll?"
Jing Jian frowned; the bizarre appearance of the doll made him very uncomfortable.
"Brother Jing, there are more over here!"
Lu Fei moved the flashlight.
He found that there were actually several more dolls on the shelf, both male and female, all dressed in old people's burial clothes.
None of them were dressed in a red skirt and red shorts.
"Lu Fei, what's the deal with these dolls?" Jing Jian felt goosebumps all over his body.
There were a total of eight dolls. Their skin was extremely realistic, almost indistinguishable from real human skin, but their expressions were dull. The eyes seemed to be made of glass beads, letting light through but without any luster, which was particularly eerie.
"Hold on a minute."
Lu Fei had Jing Jian hold the flashlight while he put on his gloves and picked up one of the dolls for a closer look.
The doll was unexpectedly heavy, as if filled with something inside. The texture of the skin was just like real human skin.
On the old-fashioned shroud, there were characters for 'fortune' or 'prosperity'.
Lu Fei carefully examined it and finally found a small seal at the top of the doll's head.
The seal was sealed with a drop of red wax, resembling a scar.
"What a creepy doll!"
Lu Fei had never seen such a strange doll before.
"There is yin energy on it, but it seems more like it was picked up from this environment. It can't be considered an evil object... But this wax seal reminds me of the child attendants buried in ancient times."
"Do you mean those child attendants who were injected with mercury?" Jing Jian shivered.
This method of burial was extremely cruel.
Most of the child attendants were injected with mercury while they were still alive, leading to their deaths.
Mercury was injected into their mouths or at the top of their heads and the soles of their feet. Once the mercury flowed through their bodies, they would die from poisoning. Since the blood of the dead no longer circulated, their corpses wouldn't rot and could be preserved for a long time.
In some places, they are called the Golden Boy and Jade Girl, while in others, they are called Fortune and Prosperity Dolls.
"That's right, and these doll figures are dressed in burial clothes, which only the dead wear..." Lu Fei put the doll back on the shelf, took another look, and was surprised again, "There are exactly four boy dolls and four girl dolls."
He stepped out of this small space and re-examined it.
"Sure enough, this room is narrower at the top and wider at the bottom; it's a coffin-shaped room!"
"Inside the coffin, there are four pairs of boy and girl dolls. Wouldn't that mean they are meant to be buried with someone? But in a kindergarten, who could they be buried with?" Jing Jian was even more shocked.
"Who died in this kindergarten?" Lu Fei pondered.
Although these dolls were eerie, the one comforting thing was that they were not made by filling real children with mercury.
"I know children have died here, could these dolls be for their burial?" Jing Jian was confused, never expecting such a bizarre situation in a kindergarten.
They didn't find the pair of red-clothed dolls, but instead discovered these burial dolls.
Just as the two of them were filled with shock and doubt.
Bang, bang, bang!
From the direction of the main gate, the sound of an iron door being hit forcefully could be heard.
"Is anyone there?"
"Open the door! Open the door quickly!"
"Is my child in there? Open the door!"
The two exchanged a surprised glance.
"Another lost child?"
They closed the door and moved the cabinet back to its original position, then quickly walked out.
Outside the main gate, there was a woman in her thirties, with disheveled hair, looking anxious and haggard.
"Excuse me, have either of you seen a child in this kindergarten? He is three years old and wearing a black and white striped T-shirt. He went missing yesterday, and I can't find him anywhere. Someone said he might be here...."
The woman started shouting anxiously as soon as she saw them.
"We just checked, there are no children in this kindergarten," the two of them walked over and waved at her.
"Really? But they all said a child who went missing was found here!" The woman, unwilling to give up, took out her phone and showed them a photo of the child.
"Big brothers, please take another look. Have you seen him?"
Lu Fei and Jing Jian glanced at the screen and were immediately shocked.
"Isn't this the child we just saw in the classroom?"
"You really saw him?"
The woman's red, swollen eyes widened, full of hope as she looked at them.
"Where is he? Please tell me, he's only three years old, he's so young, nothing can happen to him..."
Through the iron gate, the woman was almost on her knees before them.
Jing Jian quickly helped her up: "Sister, we did see him just now, but the child ran off in a flash... we don't know where he is now..."
What they saw was a ghost.
The child may have already met with misfortune.
