The radio host had no idea that, as he mentioned, the Helicarrier did incorporate extraterrestrial technology during its construction.

This world differs from the original Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it incorporates elements from various other movies, creating a chaotic but fascinating reality.

For instance, during the construction of the Helicarrier, New York faced an alien invasion by krang, and the Transformers battled at the Hoover Dam.

None of these events escaped S.H.I.E.L.D.'s watchful eyes. Although their contributions were minimal, Nick Fury's resourceful leadership ensured that S.H.I.E.L.D. benefited significantly from these incidents.

Tony Stark went to great lengths to acquire a Decepticon corpse from the military, which he used as a reference to develop his car-based armor.

When the Sky Mothership was nearing completion, Nick Fury handed over a relic left by Tony's father, Howard Stark, and enlisted Tony's help for the final stages of the project.

Tony showcased his brilliance, integrating Decepticon technology into the Sky Mothership, significantly enhancing its technological capabilities. This was why Tony held such high expectations for the Sky Mothership.

Of course, Tony wasn't naive enough to believe that the Sky Mothership and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents aboard it could defeat the Justice League. Still, he was confident the ship could pose a significant threat to them.

However, when Tony caught sight of Batman's stealth fighter and the Justice League gathered together—with Cyborg standing unflinching—his confidence wavered.

"Well, for now, all I can do is count on Coulson and the others!" Tony muttered to himself, sighing heavily.

Beside him, his fellow Avengers exchanged grim looks. It was clear that every member of the team was acutely aware of the massive gap in strength between them and the Justice League.

Even more demoralizing was the realization that none of the Justice League's heaviest hitters had appeared yet. Phil, for instance, was far from the Justice League's core, yet he was still a full member and someone not to be underestimated.

Had Phil known how highly the Avengers regarded him, he would have been overjoyed.

Washington, Military District.

Phil, Jonah Jameson, and John Jameson sat tensely, listening to the animated report from the radio host. Hearing that the Justice League had defeated the Avengers, they could barely contain their excitement.

As photos uploaded by netizens flashed across their phones, they felt an intense sense of pride, as though they themselves had become part of the Justice League.

For Jonah and John Jameson, the excitement ended there—they had no regrets. But Phil was different.

Phil was devastated, kicking himself for accepting the mission to protect Jonah and his son. If not for this task, he would have been standing in Washington Square, basking in the glory alongside the Justice League.

The radio broadcast hadn't mentioned the word "evil" even once, framing the Justice League's victory as a triumphant moment.

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stand out, and Phil had missed it. The thought alone turned his face green with envy and regret. His stomach churned as if his intestines were tied in knots.

The defeat of the Avengers wasn't what hurt most—it was the embarrassment of being absent.

Just then, the radio host mentioned the Sky Mothership, the "Super Battleship," bringing Phil back to his senses.

From the host's tone, it was clear that the Sky Mothership was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s last-ditch effort. The Justice League had defeated the Avengers but hadn't entirely secured victory.

Phil, Jonah, and John froze, their faces tense as they strained to catch every word of the broadcast, unwilling to miss a single detail.

Washington Square.

The Batplane hovered in the air, suspended like a dark omen above the square. Under the watchful eyes of the public, several figures leapt down one after another, drawing gasps of amazement from the crowd.

Spider-Man, Venom, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Green Arrow, and others landed gracefully amidst the chaos in the already devastated Washington Square. All but Batman stood together, forming a circle around their captives—members of the Avengers.

Meanwhile, Cyborg glanced at the scene briefly before activating his thrusters. He ascended rapidly, heading toward the sky.

"What's going on?"

The Avengers exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions tense.

It didn't take long for them to understand. Both the Batplane and Cyborg were moving toward the Sky Mothership.

"Are Batman and Cyborg planning to take down the Sky Mothership?" Rumlow muttered, his pupils shrinking.

"No... It's probably just Batman. Cyborg's there to act as his chauffeur," Tony said bitterly through gritted teeth. Then, his expression darkened further.

"Don't forget—Cyborg's abilities are on par with artificial intelligence. If he connects to the Sky Mothership's network, no one will be able to regain control from him…"

At these words, the Avengers' faces grew grim. They realized the battle ahead could end in total defeat.

Shame!

This was beyond humiliating.

Inside the Sky Mothership's Command Room.

"Batman is approaching!"

"Along with Cyborg! Everyone, stay alert! Open fire immediately. Enable both auto-aim and manual targeting. Keep them away at all costs!"

Hill's voice rang out, sharp and commanding. Her eyes darted between the radar screen and the black shape of the Batplane, which was growing larger through the glass window. Her heart clenched with a tension she had never felt before.

The Justice League was unlike any opponent she had ever faced. Even S.H.I.E.L.D.'s strongest asset—the Avengers—had been crushed effortlessly by them. Deep down, Hill doubted the Sky Mothership could stop them.

But… there was still a glimmer of hope. Batman wasn't attacking with the full might of the Justice League. He and Cyborg were attempting to break in on their own.

Hill's lips tightened as determination ignited within her. "This is our last chance to save face," she thought. "We must hold them off."

The ship's countless cannons whirred to life, their barrels locking onto the incoming Batplane. A storm of fire erupted, and shells rained down, filling the air with deafening booms.

But the Batplane, piloted with surgical precision, evaded every single shot. Under Anton's control, the fighter seemed almost alive, darting nimbly through the air and retaliating with bright red energy beams.

Boom! Boom!

Explosions ripped through the Sky Mothership as its launchers were obliterated. Black smoke billowed from the damaged sections of the ship.

At the same time, Cyborg broke through the energy barrier, flying amidst the chaotic shellfire. With calculated precision, he intercepted stray shells before they could fall onto Washington City below.

"Wait… is Cyborg protecting the city?" one Avenger muttered in disbelief.

"He's not just helping Batman," another added. "He anticipated that the Sky Mothership's attack would endanger Washington. He's shielding the city!"

The Avengers froze, their earlier anger replaced by stunned silence. Tony, watching Cyborg's efforts from the ground, felt a pang of regret. For the first time, he realized just how poorly he had judged the situation.

The crowd below—ordinary citizens who had come to witness the chaos—saw the truth, too. Their murmurings grew louder, a wave of emotion rippling through them.

"Cyborg… he's a hero," someone whispered.

"He's a superhero!" another shouted, their voice trembling with excitement.

A cheer erupted from the crowd, filled with admiration for Cyborg's actions. For them, in that moment, he had proven himself to be the very definition of a superhero.
