Although Nick Fury wasn't a manipulative schemer, Anton had to admit that Fury's actions always came from a well-intentioned starting point.

Ignoring the process and the results—if one looked only at his intentions—Nick Fury could almost be considered a noble figure.

Unfortunately, Anton found his methods distasteful.

"So, this Skrull was killed by his own kind..."

Tony frowned. "No, I shouldn't call them 'his kind' anymore. If you're right, most of them are enemies now."

"Either way, one thing is clear—there are still Skrulls on Earth, and they're plotting against humanity."

Anton took out his phone, made a call, and ordered the Men in Black to collect the corpse. He also instructed them to perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Just then, his phone buzzed with a text from Z.

Monica Rambeau...

A thought crossed Anton's mind, and without another word, he turned and left the room.

"Hey, where are you going?"

Tony called after him.

"This has nothing to do with you." Anton waved dismissively. "If you're not involved in the Skrull situation, stay out of it."

With that, he stepped onto the sidewalk, trying to hail a cab.

A few moments later.

Buzzing—

Tony's Audi screeched to a stop in front of him.

"I think you need me now," Tony said, sliding on his sunglasses with his usual smugness. "Skrulls are poking around Stark Industries, and you think this has nothing to do with me?"

The passenger door opened automatically.

"Get in."

Anton raised an eyebrow. "And what makes you think I can't just take a taxi?"

Tony smirked. "Because I had Jarvis send a message to every Brooklyn cab driver, telling them to head to Stark Industries. Double the pay per mile."

Anton blinked. "...You're serious?"

"Yep. So, at the moment, every taxi in Brooklyn is leaving Brooklyn."

Anton sighed, then got into the car. "You really are a reckless spender."

"Right back at you," Tony shot back, flooring the accelerator.

"By the way, where are we going?"

"Columbia University," Anton said. "To find someone named Monica Rambeau."

Monica Rambeau.

In the comics, she was the superhero Spectrum, formerly known as Captain Marvel, and had multiple codenames.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she was Carol Danvers' close friend in Captain Marvel, the former director of S.W.O.R.D., and Maria Rambeau's daughter. As a child, she had been part of Carol's story.

As an adult, she appeared in WandaVision, where she gained superpowers from the Hex.

She was expected to appear in future Marvel projects.

But none of that mattered right now.

Anton wasn't looking for the future superhero Spectrum—he was looking for her because of the Skrulls.

"Monica Rambeau..."

Jarvis' voice echoed in the car as he pulled up her file. Tony quickly put the pieces together.

"The head of S.W.O.R.D.—Maria Rambeau's daughter," he said.

"You think she has information?"

"It's not a guess. She does have information," Anton replied.

"Alright," Tony nodded. "I have to admit, Anton, you're impressing me a little."

Anton smirked. "I thought you already admired me after I won our bet."

"Not that soon." Tony grinned. "But if I had Batman's help and a dozen assistant directors, I could've shot Batman Begins too."

Columbia University.

Anton and Tony arrived quickly, spotting Monica Rambeau just as she finished class.

Their presence did not go unnoticed.

Tony Stark. Anton Jameson.

Two of the most famous figures in the world—perhaps even more recognizable than Hollywood stars.

One was a member of the Justice League.

The other, an original Avenger.

Excitement and unease rippled through the students and faculty alike.

Why were they here?

Was something about to happen at Columbia University?

Some recalled an earlier event when Anton had attended a dinner here—where he had, quite publicly, taken down a few terrorists.

Now, seeing him and Tony together, people couldn't help but feel a sense of impending crisis.

Monica noticed them immediately.

She had no doubt they were here for her.

Glancing around at the growing crowd, she sighed, then subtly signaled to Anton.

Anton gave her a small nod before turning back toward Tony. Without a word, the two returned to their car and drove to a more discreet location—an empty alleyway—where Monica was already waiting at the intersection.

She climbed into the car without hesitation.

"You're finally here."

Her voice was calm. Not a trace of panic.

It was as if she had been expecting this moment for a long time.

"You knew we'd come?" Anton asked. "The moment you saw us, you knew why we were here, didn't you?"

Monica nodded. "Ever since my mother was arrested, I knew this day would come."

Her expression remained steady.

"The Skrulls have rebelled, haven't they?"

Anton nodded. "That's right."

He paused briefly before introducing himself.

"I'm Anton Jameson. Member of the Justice League. Head of the Men in Black organization."

Monica raised an eyebrow. "Men in Black?"

"A task force created by the World Security Council after the Battle of New York to handle extraterrestrial affairs," Anton explained. "And right now, I'm in charge of all investigations concerning the Skrulls."

Monica turned her gaze to Tony.

"And what about him?"

"He's just tagging along. He doesn't matter."

Anton completely ignored Tony's offended glare and continued.

"You know why we're here, so let's not waste time. Monica Rambeau, tell me everything you know."

Monica didn't hesitate.

"Tyler Hayward."

Anton's eyes narrowed. "I know that name."

Monica nodded. "That's all I can give you."

"Deputy Director of S.W.O.R.D. under Maria Rambeau."

Anton had already looked into S.W.O.R.D.'s personnel, but his knowledge went beyond just reports—he also had insights from his past life.

After Maria Rambeau's death, Tyler Hayward had taken control of S.W.O.R.D.

And in WandaVision, he was the one pushing to reactivate Vision's body as a weapon.

Before Anton had crossed into this world, there had even been online theories speculating that Tyler Hayward might be a Skrull.

Hearing Monica name him now all but confirmed it.

Even if he wasn't a Skrull himself, he was definitely working with them.

A traitor.
