After a fifteen minute break, the second round of the competition had begun.
Just like the first round, the second round of the competition was chosen randomly by the arena's battle system.
In the next second, a massive hologram appeared in the air, right at the center of the stadium. Everyone could see the two names that are next..
It was actually Steven vs Bane!
The two walked up stage without hesitation. However, Steven's face wasn't looking quite good. He originally, if he wasn't unlucky, therr was a chance he could be amongst top 3 with his strength but now that he was unlucky enough to meet Bane, there was almost no hope now.
Steven surprisingly did not give up the battle. With gritted teeth and firm determination, he said to Bane dressed in white: "I will not let you win that easily."
Bane sneered, "If you could do that, it will be great. Otherwise, it will be too boring."
They immediately sat cross-legged behind their Symbiote and linked with their various monsters.
The robotic voice immediately said, "Battle begins!"
"Swoosh!"
While the AI was still giving its speech, a violent feeling of madness, rage and brutal hunger filled Steven's mind as he gained control of the body of his beasts.
"Rooooaar!"
A massive roar escaped the body of the Dread-Lurk Sloth.
Steven's eyes changed as the beast gained sentient. In the blink of an eye, it stomped heavily against the ground.
"Bam!"
Poisonous fluids escaped its claws, it's spit drilling down as the ground sizzled with chemical reaction.
In just a moment, it had crossed more tna 200 meters and arrived before Bane's Symbiote in a flash.
Bane'a eyes were dead cold. And although bloodlust filled his mind, he remained calm as the beast arrived before him. There was not a single hint of fear on his face as his Massive three meters tall monstrosity locked in the Dread-Lurk Sloth.
It was the same Steelhide Mecha-bear with Bane. However this was an entirely different beast totally.
The body of Mecha-bear was more massive, reaching a height of 3.2 meters. Six metal claws looking like spider arms were attached to its back. It's flesh seemed to bw covered in armor as needle like furs expanded and contract on its skin.
It almost looked like a bear covered in metallic armor!
The instant Steven appeared before Bane, the wind shook as his claws tore through the air like a swords, striking toward Bane with ferocity.
However, Bane's massive figure stood there, exuding astounding ferocity as he watched the clawa strike him.
Just as the Dread-Lurk Sloth's claw was about to slice through his face. His arm moved with insane reaction speed as he steuck out with his Massive right arm.
"Bang!"
An insane amount of strength passed through Steven's arm as the uncontrollable force pushed him backward.
Steven knew Bane's Symbiote was strong but he didn't know it was this overpowered.
Shock ran through his body as he looked up at Bane. However, a massive fist enlarged in his vision and before he knew it, the gist slammed against the Dread-Lurk Sloth's face.
"BANG!!!"
His body was tossed like a kite with broken strings, slamming against the arenas barrier.
Steven's consciousness was instantly jolted out of his beast's body as he woke up in his. He instantly went over to his Symbiote, praying it wasn't dead.
Bane stood over his fallen opponent, his Mecha-bear licking neurotoxin-laced fluids from its claws. "Next," he said flatly, eyes scanning the crowd until they locked with Ezra's.
"Bane wins!!!"
The automated voice instantly rang out, announcing the winner.
The entire audience weren't surprised by this outcome. Bane's Symbiote was just too strong and could be considered the strongest Symbiote amongst the entire students in the competition as it was an actual level six monster.
"Bane definitely went too far." Ezra could hear Steven's Symbiote skull crack, he could not help but frown.
In the VIP seats, Ye Batian laughed a little, "As a warrior, you should have this kind of brutal instinct, otherwise you could never make it. Well done."
The principal frowned slightly as he disagreed: "Thera re all students of the same school and could be considered families, there is no need for this kind of brutality."
"Sometimes families may not be on the same side of the battle, plus, if you lost to your own family, you would only be lying in bed for one or two months at best; if you lost to someone else, you might never wake up. If you don't show him how cruel the world is, how could he survive the world outside?" Ye Batian did not care for the Principal's comments.
As one of the great families in this town, he sure has his own philosophy.
During the crowd's discussion, the names of those in the next battle appeared.
Mythril versus Ezra.
The stadium thrummed with anticipation from the audience, its reinforced stage gleaming under the sunlight.
Students packed the stands, their uniforms a sea of crimson and steel-gray, creating a pulsing backdrop to the impending violence.
Banners fluttered, depicting the most powerful beast masters from past.
The crowd had swelled, news of Ezra's surprising first-round victory drawing spectators from across the entire academy.
Mythril stood opposite the arena, waiting for him.
Her silver hair cascading down her back like liquid mercury.
Overshadowing her was her Rune-Fanged Rabbit, deceptively cute with gleaming crystalline teeth and arcane sigils swimming beneath its pearlescent fur.
Ezra walked up to the stage, his small back sheep following in kind as he moved.
Ever so slowly, he arrived on the stage, just opposite Mythril.
Mythril could feel the energy from her opponent and from the battle Ezra had fought earlier, she was well aware his sheep is not just an ordinary sheep but merely seem to be hiding its strength.
She didn't dare to look down on him nor dare to hold back her strength.
"Begin!"
"BOOM!"
The stage shook violently and In that instant, the Rabbit vanished in a literal burst of arcane energy that left a trail of glowing runes in its wake.
Ezra's eyes flickered and a smile grazed his face as he linked with the Wrathram.
