Harper's POV
“It's you who gave Matthew a lesson. You’re not jealous, are you?!”
His reaction confirmed an answer I hadn’t even considered before.
“Really?”
I caught the slight redness in the tips of his ears, and I felt a warm rush inside me, suddenly unsure what to say. This realization seemed more important than anything else.
“Let’s go.” Marco’s cool demeanor returned as he grabbed my hand and quickly led us out of the venue. I stole a glance at him from the side, finding him more attractive than ever.
“Harper.”

Joseph... I whispered the name to myself, tasting the bitterness of it.
