Severing Two Quasi-Saints, Annihilating a Sect

"I will protect you." When Wang Yangzi said this, it meant he was taking Chen Xia's side. However, he then added with a light laugh, "On the condition that you participate in the Great Dead Zone battle. You have three hundred years to prepare. If you decide to join, make more preparations and keep some trump cards." "Try to seize some opportunities within the Great Dead Zone at that time; it could help when you advance to the Sage realm." Chen Xia nodded, indicating his understanding. He wasn't particularly concerned about these opportunities. After all, if he truly went to the Great Dead Zone, it was to meet Xu Zhen and Huang Qingyue who had gone to the Immortal Realm. Wang Yangzi's lips curved into a gentle smile as he continued, "Additionally, I do have some accomplishments in alchemy and swordsmanship. If you have any questions about these two areas, feel free to ask me." He tapped a finger, and a beam of light suddenly struck Chen Xia, forming a deep purple token on him before quickly disappearing. "This is your ticket to the upper layer of the boundary domain, exclusive to my lineage. When you go up, it will naturally transport you to my residence. If you have any questions on your cultivation path, come up and ask me." Chen Xia waved his hand without responding. What doubts could he possibly have? If necessary, he could just hide and level up. To him, realm advancement wasn't something essential. Strength was enough; realms were merely ordinary measures of combat power. There were too many factors affecting combat power—what kind of ancient or supreme species one was, the treasures and magic skills they possessed, and the enhancement from elixirs. Seeing Chen Xia had no questions, Wang Yangzi didn't say anything more. He bid farewell to Chen Xia and flashed away. Inside the house, Zhang Daoming finally came out slowly. Afraid of disturbing Chen Xia's conversation earlier, he hadn't dared to leave the room. Now, he curiously asked, "What happened?" Chen Xia picked up the hoe and smiled, "Nothing much, just that I'll be going out for a few hundred years. Someone invited me specifically, and I happen to have something to take care of." "Oh…"Zhang Daoming paused, then nodded, his aged wrinkles creasing into a gentle smile. "That's good. Going out is a good thing; young people should travel more and see more. If you can meet some great cultivators, it would be even better to expand your network." "There's nothing to expand. Mainly, I want to see old acquaintances,"Chen Xia said frankly. Zhang Daoming paused again, recalling that Chen Xia had mentioned this before. After a moment of silence, he nodded and smiled. "That's also nice. By the way, who invited you?" "Wang Yangzi,"Chen Xia replied. Zhang Daoming nodded, showing he understood, but soon froze, raising an eyebrow in surprise. "Wang Yangzi?!" "Yes, he said he comes from the upper layer of the boundary domain. He should be the author of *Alchemy: From Beginner to Beyond*,"Chen Xia replied calmly. Zhang Daoming couldn't stay calm. Excitedly, he exclaimed, "Wang Yangzi is the most revered alchemist I know, the closest existence to a Dan Dao Saint in the boundary domain. His achievements in alchemy are unmatched throughout history!" Chen Xia nodded indifferently, "Oh." Zhang Daoming looked very excited and asked again, "What else did Master Wang Yangzi tell you?" Chen Xia lowered his head, shaking his trouser leg casually, and said nonchalantly, "It was about traveling far and teaching some alchemy techniques. I don't need them and didn't agree. Who would seriously learn alchemy techniques anyway?" Zhang Daoming frowned deeply, feeling somewhat distressed but unsure how to respond. From his perspective, Chen Xia indeed didn't need to learn alchemy techniques, and no one could teach him anyway. So, Chen Xia was telling the truth. But such words sounded rather disrespectful. Zhang Daoming sighed, hands behind his back, and walked back into the house somewhat lonely, heading for his sword practice. Chen Xia, meanwhile, carried his hoe back to the medicinal field, continuing to research his automatic planting system, emphasizing its threat.

  ### In the upper layer of the boundary domain. Wang Yangzi had just returned to his shabby little house when a black-robed figure appeared abruptly. A cold voice under the robe chuckled and asked, "How did it go with the young master alchemist?" "He seems to agree, but there might be variables. I didn't force him; as long as he doesn't change his mind at the last minute, it's fine."Wang Yangzi laughed lightly. "So, you didn't really talk things through?"The black-robed voice carried a hint of displeasure, clearly dissatisfied with Wang Yangzi's efficiency. Wang Yangzi frowned, "I never promised I would seal the deal. Whether he goes or not is Chen Xia's choice. Learn to respect others'decisions; forcing someone won't end well." "But it quenches thirst,"the black-robed cultivator said unwillingly. "What if someone poisons the melon intentionally? Would you still eat it?"Wang Yangzi frowned and retorted. "If you really force him, upsetting him, Chen Xia could add 'ingredients'during his alchemy, potentially killing all accompanying cultivators." The black-robed figure wasn't entirely convinced and argued, "Since I dare to threaten, I must have leverage over him. As far as I know, he lives with an old man, making the old man his weakness." "With his weakness in hand, he will work diligently." "Ha, weakness?"Wang Yangzi's lips curled, his hand resting on his flying sword, unable to resist mocking. "Dare you mention weaknesses to a cultivator backed by a Quasi-Emperor?" "If you really do this, you might not know how you die." The black-robed cultivator remained silent for a moment but couldn't help rebutting, "That Quasi-Emperor has already ascended and fought two Lords of the Forbidden Zones. He likely has injuries and may never return." "Besides, a Quasi-Emperor isn't a true Emperor without the title and divine inspiration. In terms of power, a Quasi-Emperor is roughly equivalent to a Great Sage." Wang Yangzi's scornful expression grew stronger, and he cursed directly. "Fool, everyone compares a Great Sage to a Quasi-Emperor, but you start comparing a Quasi-Emperor to a Great Sage. Their powers might be similar, but their magical abilities differ greatly." "If you really think like this, stay away from me. I won't speak to fools like you; don't pollute my mind." The black-robed cultivator refused to back down, "My method works; don't deny it!" "Deny?"Wang Yangzi narrowed his eyes, emitting a cold light in the dim room, filled with icy intent, speaking softly, "If you really use threats, regardless of that Quasi-Emperor, I will kill you first. Even the Lord of the Forbidden Zone backing you won't save you!" As he spoke, his body was surrounded by a vibrant sword intent, five flying swords swirling around him like dragons attached to a deity. The powerful sword intent shook the entire small house, causing it to collapse into rubble. The black-robed cultivator felt a chill run down his spine, breaking out in cold sweat, unable to respond. He recalled a rumor from earlier. Wang Yangzi, a Quasi-Saint Sword Cultivator with eight life-bound flying swords, a high-grade alchemy master, had once ascended Moon South Mountain alone. Slain two Quasi-Saints, destroyed a sect.
