The New Dead Star

Since his tendons and bones were relaxed, Chen Xia has been less inclined to go out, preferring to stay hidden within the Death Star Field, emphasizing steadiness. In the main domain, Chen Xia took a brief trip back. Things were much the same as before; only the herbs in the medicinal fields didn't grow well without his supervision. "A bunch of lazy seeds," Chen Xia commented. Zhang Daoming remained silent beside him, thinking this was the normal growth trend for the herbs. Previously, Chen Xia's actions had somewhat accelerated their maturation. Apart from the medicinal fields, Wang Yangzi also visited Chen Xia once. Zhang Daoming happened to be nearby and saw Wang Yangzi, instantly becoming excited. His small stature straightened up as he began to act formally. Wang Yangzi was conversing with Chen Xia, glancing at Zhang Daoming and hesitantly asked, "Is it convenient to talk here?" "As long as you don't discuss personal privacy issues, it's quite convenient," Chen Xia replied. Zhang Daoming grinned warmly on the side, growing even more excited when Wang Yangzi looked at him. He straightened up, standing proudly. Wang Yangzi paused, then turned back to Chen Xia, speaking softly, "The candidates for the Great Dead Zone battle have been almost finalized. You are among the first batch entering, totaling seven people. Apart from you, all are Heaven Mending realm cultivators, each skilled in different areas like magical abilities, array formations, and forbidden arts." "When you get the chance, you can visit the upper realms to familiarize yourself. In the Great Dead Zone, you must look out for each other." Chen Xia nodded, understanding, "I'll take a look if I have time." Wang Yangzi stood with hands behind his back, silent for a moment, then said, "If you feel lost in swordsmanship or alchemy, you can ask me. I do have some expertise." "I know you have true expertise," Chen Xia nodded but shook his head, "But I really have no confusion." Beside them, Zhang Daoming widened his eyes, feeling that Chen Xia was truly unaware of his blessings. He wanted to step forward to replace Chen Xia. Even if you're not confused, you should let Master Wang Yangzi speak a few words. Silence ensued again. Wang Yangzi didn't know what else to say and waved, "If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave." "Goodbye," Chen Xia replied. This was the conversation between Wang Yangzi and Chen Xia—one wanting to teach, the other unwilling to learn. It made Wang Yangzi doubt himself—was his alchemy and swordsmanship not profound enough? Or was Chen Xia's level too high, finding his skills unworthy? Wang Yangzi was puzzled, unable to fathom that Chen Xia actually needed neither alchemy nor swordsmanship. He relied entirely on luck for alchemy and random swings for swordsmanship. Not relying on technique, just brute force defeating the master. After Wang Yangzi left, Chen Xia resumed his public seclusion, while his main divine soul shifted to the Death Star Field, beginning to study the entire area. The Death Star Field possesses its own consciousness, manifested through millions of spirits. The process of Chen Xia refining and absorbing the entire Death Star Field is essentially taming these millions of spirits. He has now vaguely become the god of these millions of spirits, only needing to ascend to the throne. Then there will be no visible Death Star Field. Because Chen Xia would be the entire Death Star Field. Wherever he goes, a Death Star Field naturally forms. At that point, he shouldn't be called the Lord of the Death Star but rather the Lord of the Dead Zone. Wherever his figure appears, there lies the Dead Zone. ——— At the Seven Major Sects. Since Du Jiang's death, the cultivators of the Seven Major Sects have become more restrained, no longer so arrogant. The sect began an internal purge. They questioned the red-haired cultivator and his group about why they pursued Li Yue of the Li Family. The Seven Major Sects were generally rising and avoided provoking other sects, especially not pursuing Li Yue, which could cause significant trouble. Du Jiang's death could be attributed to the aftermath of pursuing Li Yue. The Seven Major Sects definitely held them accountable, asking why they pursued Li Yue. The red-haired cultivator trembled, stammering about thirty thousand spirit stones, unsure of who gave the order. This answer enraged the interrogating elder. "Foolish thing, you have no brain at all. Do you think your peak Ocean Inversion cultivation allows you to run rampant in this star field?" The red-haired cultivator dared not speak, stammering without producing any coherent response. The elder's gaze grew cold, "If you continue like this, when Li Yang becomes a Heaven Mending realm cultivator and seeks retribution, we'll have to hand over your head." "No, no!" the red-haired cultivator begged loudly, hurriedly saying, "I remember a blue-robed cultivator provided us with the information. He claimed to be from Mount Zishan, disapproving of the Li Family's actions, wanting to pursue Li Yue, and gave us ten thousand spirit stones as a deposit!" "Fool!" the elder slapped him hard, rolling spiritual energy, leaving a deep imprint, scolding, "You believed such obvious lies? Ten thousand spirit stones dazzled you so much that you lost your senses?" The red-haired cultivator covered his face, not daring to reply, kneeling with his head bowed low. The elder cursed, "Because of you, the Seven Major Sects lost our leader, offended Li Yang, and angered an unknown-depth Death Star Lord!" "I know wrong, I know wrong!" the red-haired cultivator shouted humbly. "What use is knowing wrong?" the elder rolled spiritual energy in his palm, darkly stating, "You committed such a grave error and are so foolish. If you could kill Li Yue undetected, I might consider you capable, but your current performance infuriates me greatly!" His words stopped as he struck again, making the red-haired cultivator spit blood and fly aside. The cultivators who accompanied him trembled in fear. The elder waved his hand, "Take these fools to apologize to the Li Family and the Death Star Lord. If they forgive you, you might have a slim chance of survival." "Otherwise, the Seven Major Sects will cleanse its ranks." "Yes, yes," the red-haired cultivator nodded hastily, agreeing and dragging his injured body away. "For the future of the Seven Major Sects, you know what needs to be done, right?" the elder suddenly asked. The red-haired cultivator trembled, nodding, "Yes." Even if the Li Family demanded his life, he would have to comply. Otherwise, worse than death awaited him. Such were the rules of the Seven Major Sects. ——— Within the Death Star Field. Today, Chen Xia moved, leading a million spirits to a massive dead star. This was his breakfast. Chen Xia nodded, smiling lightly, "Exploring stars is complex, truly old Chen says, today one person, one dead star." "Let's do it!"
