Chapter 213: The Method of Transformation

Yuxie couldn't help but admire Ei's mastery of lightning. The violet electricity surrounding her seemed like a natural extension of her body, radiating a powerful and oppressive aura. If an ordinary person were present, they might not have been able to withstand the sheer force of her presence.

In the next moment, purple lightning burst forth as Ei's body gradually lifted into the air, electricity connecting her to the ground.

A purple blade manifested in front of her chest.

Ei, unhurried, slowly gripped the hilt and drew the blade out from her chest.

The lightning surged once more, blending into the wind, and the sea breeze carried a distinct, electrified fragrance.

Seeing Ei unsheathing a blade from her chest left Yuxie momentarily stunned. The sight was undeniably striking.

After all, Ei's figure… was remarkable.

The act of pulling the blade from that place was bound to make anyone's thoughts wander...

"Yuxie?" Ei descended gracefully, her voice snapping Yuxie back to reality.

"What's wrong?" he asked, regaining focus.

"What were you thinking just now? Were you paying attention?"

"Of course," Yuxie affirmed.

"Then what did you observe?"

"Well…" Yuxie hesitated. "To be honest, my attention was drawn to the way you unsheathed your blade, so I didn't focus much on anything else…"

Hearing this, Ei froze momentarily, a faint flush creeping onto her usually calm face.

Then, as if to hide her reaction, she turned her gaze elsewhere, her expression tinged with rare shyness.

This side of Ei was unexpectedly adorable.

"The first time you saw me unsheath my blade this way, you said something similar," Ei said softly. "I don't unsheathe my blade like this in front of others. Only in front of you can I let myself act freely."

Her words struck a chord in Yuxie's heart.

"Ei…"

"Here, take this." Ei walked up to him and handed over her blade. "This is Musou Isshin. It used to be my sister's sword. After you left back then, she entrusted it to me. For your plan, I'll lend it to you for now. See if you can wield it."

Holding the sword in his hands, Yuxie felt its weight and an almost imperceptible warmth emanating from it.

Closing his eyes, he focused on the flow of elemental energy within him.

Suddenly, Musou Isshin seemed to respond to him.

Purple lightning began to surface from the blade, gradually spreading over Yuxie's entire body. The crackling electricity roared louder than before, clearly more powerful than earlier attempts.

Seeing this, Ei's lips curved into a faint, beautiful smile.

"It seems Musou Isshin is willing to be wielded by you. Let it accompany you for a while."

Time passed, and the day grew late.

The setting sun painted the horizon with fiery hues as Yuxie's training with Ei progressed significantly.

Ei was genuinely surprised by Yuxie's innate talent. To achieve such progress in just half a day was almost unbelievable.

After bidding Ei farewell, Yuxie left Tenshukaku and walked through the streets of Inazuma City.

Deep in thought, he eventually arrived at the entrance of a residence.

After a brief hesitation, he reached out and knocked on the door.

Before long, a soft-spoken shrine maiden answered.

"Hello, who are you looking for?" she asked, her clear eyes studying Yuxie.

"I'm here to see Miss Kitsune Saiguu," Yuxie replied with a polite smile.

"Oh… Please wait here. I'll inform her."

As the shrine maiden departed, Yuxie took a moment to observe his surroundings. If Kitsune Saiguu hadn't moved, this was the same residence he'd visited in a past life during his time in Inazuma.

However, he had no memory of it now.

Before long, footsteps echoed, and the door opened again. Kitsune Saiguu stood inside, her usual mischievous smile on her face.

"Well, well, Yuxie," she said, her tone teasing. "What brings you here today? Missed me, perhaps?"

"I need your help with something," Yuxie answered.

"Oh, so you didn't come just because you missed me?" Kitsune Saiguu feigned disappointment, her expression playful.

"Stop teasing…"

"Alright, alright. Come in and tell me what you need," she said, her smile softening.

Following her inside, Yuxie found himself seated under a veranda overlooking a picturesque courtyard. Shrine maidens brought tea and light snacks, setting them down between the two.

The courtyard was serene, with a harmonious blend of flowers, a pond, and a small rock garden.

Looking out at the scenery, Kitsune Saiguu began to reminisce.

"The first time we met, it was raining. After I brought you here, we sat in this exact spot watching the rain. I can still picture it clearly. You were so soft and sweet back then—like a little sponge cake."

She turned to him, her teasing smile gaining a hint of nostalgia.

"Should I thank you for not eating me back then?" Yuxie countered, playing along.

"Would you prefer I eat you now? It's not too late, you know," she quipped, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Feeling the conversation veering into dangerous territory, Yuxie decided to steer it back on track.

"Alright, enough jokes. I really need your help with something."

"Fine, fine. What is it? If it's within my power, I'll do my best to help."

"Ei said you're skilled in transformation techniques. Is that true?"

"I'm fairly proficient. Why? Wait… You've seen Ei?"

"Yes, I saw her earlier today," Yuxie confirmed. "Can you transform me to look like her?"

For a moment, Kitsune Saiguuhesitated, her sharp gaze full of suspicion.

"Why do you want to look like Ei? Could it be… Oh my, Yuxie, if you're that curious, I could transform you to look like me instead. You know, in terms of figure, I don't think I'm any worse than Ei…"

Turning her head away to avoid meeting his eyes, a faint blush crept onto her cheeks. Under the glow of the setting sun, the blush was subtle but noticeable.

"What are you thinking?" Yuxie sighed, exasperated. "I need to look like Ei for something important."

He then explained the situation in detail.

"I see…" Kitsune Saiguu finally understood, her earlier embarrassment giving way to a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I misunderstood…"

"So, can you do it?" Yuxie asked again.

"I can, but it might not fool those who are very familiar with her."

"That's fine. It'll be enough for my purposes."

"Alright… Shall we try it now?"

"Let's."

Standing up, Kitsune Saiguu raised her hands and formed a series of intricate hand signs.

A faint glow emanated from her fingertips, flowing into the center of Yuxie's forehead.

In the next instant, his body was enveloped in light. When it faded, the figure standing there was no longer Yuxie but Ei herself, dressed in a violet kimono, her long purple hair swaying gently in the wind, exuding an aura of unparalleled grace.
