Chapter 27

The night was heavy with tension, the air damp and filled with the low hum of Magnet Man’s device as it neared activation. Edgar led the team through the crumbling industrial complex, his claws extending with a metallic snikt as they prepared for battle.

“Stick to the plan,” Edgar growled, his eyes scanning the darkened corridors. “We can’t afford any slip-ups.”

Laser Eyes cracked his knuckles, his trademark smirk in place. “Relax, boss. I’ve got this.”

Before Edgar could respond, a guttural croak echoed from the shadows. Tele Girl tensed beside him, her hand already outstretched, telekinetic energy crackling faintly around her fingers.

“Get ready,” she whispered.

A moment later, a grotesque figure leaped into the dim light. It was Frog—a hunched vampire mutant with leathery green skin, elongated limbs, and eyes that gleamed with predatory hunger. His long, sticky tongue lashed out, narrowly missing Laser Eyes, who ducked just in time.
