Blood on the dance floor

Back at the shared apartment, Jennie reflected on the day's events. She had met Daniel while she was in America for a year, helping her father with business. By the end of the year, she had confided in Daniel about her decision to pursue dancing. Daniel had been a steadfast supporter of her dreams unlike her father. Now, as she returned to the apartment with him, she found solace in his unwavering support and their strong friendship.

Daniel: "You never told me about Leo from your college days."

Jennie: "Well, we went to different universities in different countries, so it didn't come up much."

Daniel: "So he's the person you had that big fight with, the one everyone at the company talked about?"

Jennie : "Did we really cause that much of a scene?"

Daniel:"Yes, you did. I was inside the office during Mia's interview, and it was quite disruptive. Elizabeth was right; it was disrespectful to the company."

Jennie:"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. We just had a disagreement. I didn't think it would blow up like that."

Daniel: "It wasn't just a disagreement. The way you two acted was way beyond that. But I'm not going to push you to talk about it if you're not ready."

Jennie: "I owe you an apology. What happened was really uncalled for. Well, it's probably for the best that we won't run into each other again."

Daniel: "Something tells me you will meet again, though."

Jennie: "No way! Then maybe you can tell me about my future career too?"

Daniel: "I will, but only after you finish our 'Friends' episode. I'm really dying to know what happens next!"

John: snapping his fingers "Hey, earth to Jennie!"

Jennie: "Yes, John," she sighed deeply.

John: "What's going on? You're acting really weird."

Jennie: "I know. I just ran into someone I never expected to see again. Listen, John, promise me you won't tell anyone about this. I need someone to have my back. The guy over there, he's like an ex—well, we were friends with benefits, and I ended things badly. I don't want him sabotaging my career."

John: "Okay, Jennie, relax. What do you need me to do?"

Jennie: "Let's partner up for these projects so I'm not paired with him."

John: "Sure, I can definitely team up with the star of the academy. But you're making a big deal out of something that's inevitable. You might end up having to dance with him anyway."

Jennie: "No, we won't!" She looked at him seriously.

John: "Okay, okay. I'll do what you ask."

Jennie and John practiced for hours, managing to avoid Leo for the longest time. That was until they had to group up to create new dances for their upcoming showcase. It was a tradition to do this when they returned to the academy, so Helen could see their form and creativity.

Jennie went to the bathroom to wash her face. Out of nowhere, Leo entered, startling her.

Leo: "I see you're actually pursuing your passion for dancing, huh?"

Jennie: turning slowly "You scared me. Well, yes, I've always loved it."

Leo: "Honestly, I never understood why you chose dancing. I thought you'd follow in your dad's footsteps."

Jennie: "We're in a dance academy, not your living room. Watch what you say." She took a step closer to him.

Leo: "Did I really hit a nerve?"

Jennie: trying to hold back tears "No."

Leo: "Now you know how I felt with you."

Unfortunately, luck was not on her side. Helen paired her with Leo and John for their project. Jennie felt an overwhelming frustration, unsure how to handle the situation
