I close my eyes and focus deeply on my magic perception. Eventually, the sensitivity of my perception grew enough to perceive the bacteria's magic. The bacterial magic is different from the surrounding magic, so it is easy to identify.

Now, let's see if I can influence it with my magic. What? The bacteria's magic just disappeared. I attempted to influence it the usual way and I erased it somehow, rendering it lifeless.

It could be the very small scale of what I am doing, or maybe it's because the bacteria is of such a different nature that it reacts differently.
