Chapter 234: The Showdown Between Death and Thunder

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Hela unleashed her signature move: a storm of black, flying swords. The air became thick with the whistling projectiles, blotting out the sky as they closed in on Thor.

Having fully regained her strength, Hela's power was at its peak. The countless swords bore down with deadly precision, enough to overwhelm even the strongest defenses. The display was like an unlimited barrage, a sight to make even the bravest warriors tremble.

Yet, Thor stood unmoving, his expression calm.

The blades struck him in a flurry of metallic clashes, sparks flying as each one was deflected harmlessly off his body. The swords fell uselessly to the ground, their deadly power rendered ineffective.

Hela stared, stunned. "Impossible…"

Around the arena, Asgardians erupted into thunderous cheers. Their king was proving his might in full view of his people.

From the stands, Loki smirked. "See, Mother? I told you Thor would be fine!" He cupped his hands around his mouth, shouting toward the battlefield. "Cut her down, Thor! Show her what happens when you mess with the great God of Mischief!"

His excitement got the better of him, and his words took a darker turn. "Kill this crazy—"

"Ahem." Frigga's warning cough was sharp, the electricity crackling in her glare aimed squarely at Loki.

Realizing his mistake, Loki slapped himself lightly on both cheeks and grinned awkwardly. "Just kidding. All in good fun!"

Back in the arena, Thor remained silent, his gaze fixed on Hela. His expression said it all: Is this the best you've got?

Hela's face darkened. Raising her hands, she summoned massive dark green spikes from the ground, each one over tens of meters long and pulsating with her deadly power.

With a wave, the spikes launched toward Thor, their speed defying the eye as they hurtled through the air.

Thor didn't flinch. As the first spike closed in, his body surged with electricity, the lightning of his divine power illuminating the arena. With a roar, he focused all his energy into a single punch.

"Boom!"

The impact shattered the spike, sending shockwaves across the arena. Dust and smoke billowed into the air as more spikes followed, each one detonated in turn by Thor's strikes. The sound of thunder and explosions filled the air, the spectacle a testament to the raw power of the God of Thunder.

Hela barely had time to react as Thor countered her assault. From above, a massive bolt of lightning crashed down, striking her squarely with immense force.

"Rumble!"

The arena was lit with blinding light as Hela's shield cracked and shattered under the relentless force. Her body was flung through the air like a ragdoll, slamming into the protective barrier surrounding the battlefield.

The force of her impact sent tremors through the arena. The transparent barrier flickered, barely holding up under the strain.

Thor stood in the center of the arena, breathing heavily. The effort had taken its toll, even on his near-invincible body. His chest heaved as he prepared himself for whatever came next.

From the stands, Nebula watched intently. "No wonder my father struggled against him…" she murmured. "With that defense alone, even Thanos couldn't make a dent."

Her mechanical hand tightened as she continued. "Now he has Stormbreaker, too. If Thanos came here today, he'd be a dead man."

Nearby, Wanda whispered, "Is it over?"

The Scarlet Witch, though immensely powerful herself, had less combat experience than the others. Her understanding of the battle was driven more by emotion than strategy.

Jane Foster, imbued with divine power herself, shook her head. "No. It's not that simple. Hela's defense isn't as strong as Thor's, but her regeneration is incredible. Her vitality is practically endless."

Wanda frowned, glancing back toward the battlefield. "Then how will they decide a winner?" she asked.

It was a good question. Thor's defense was nearly impenetrable, while Hela's regeneration seemed limitless. It was a standoff between infinite resilience and infinite endurance.
