Chapter Thirteen

I ate the rest of my breakfast peacefully, grateful for having a day where I wasn't treated like a dog.
It looked like Soren also came to his senses also to be civil. Because we finished breakfast and he clapped his hands together,
"You have to accompany me somewhere."
I cocked my head at him, "where?"
"An acquaintance of mine is opening a club downtown and I promised I would make an appearance,"
I shrugged, I couldn't say no to that.
"Perfect, Rudolf will deliver some clothes to you. Choose any that soothes you, then meet me downstairs," he stood up and walked away after that.
I stared at his empty chair for some time, wondering if this was some sort of trap. I didn't have time to dwell on it when Rudolf kicked my seat.
"I gave you a chance and you refused, don't say I didn't warn you. Accidents happen,"
A growl left my lips at his threat, I snarled and got up to face him square.
