Eva’s blessing

Liam slowly approached the woman, his expression unreadable.

His steps were calm, deliberate.

But to Eva—

Each step felt like thunder crashing against her chest.

Her breath hitched, and she instinctively backed away, keeping as much distance between them as possible.

Her body screamed at her to run.

But—

She didn't dare turn her back on him, feeling like her head could roll off if she tried to.

Liam ignored her previous question, not finding it necessary to answer.

He could see the way her teeth gnashed in frustration at his indifference.

But just as quickly as the anger rose, she forced herself to calm down.

She knew better than to provoke the strange man in front of her.

Eva's fingers tightened around the edges of her coat, her mind racing.

'I thought this would just be an easy mission… but this is—'

She swallowed, her face turning pale.

'This is crazy.'
