Persuasion

Fenix, who had been sitting calmly as he closed his eyes, immediately frowned and looked at Cain since he heard Cain's muttering.

"My Lord, is what you just said true?" Fenix asked telepathically.

Cain only nodded his head as he was still using his brain to its fullest potential to think about something important.

"It's going to be troublesome then. Let me stall them so you can run from here and lay low for a while. If I'm using my life on the line, I should be able to kill some of them and stall for enough time." Fenix's face turned solemn as he stood up, intending to jump off Nix's back and face them by himself.

When Cain realized this, he laughed and waved his hand. "No, no, you misunderstood me. I'm not worried about them; I'm just worried about the consequences afterward."

He then added, "Let me tell you about the plan first."
