Chapter 4 The light of Protection.

A girlfriend, that's what she was to Alex, and he was her boyfriend. Just the thought of it brought Lili a smile to her face, she liked having friends. Plus she had even gotten to train with Alex in the woods which was fun.

Thanks to this she had felt more confident to venture into Alex's territory, for he probably wouldn't mind her doing so, right?

Although as she did so she had seen quite strange things that made her wonder. For instance, early the very next morning when she went to hunt for demons she had seen more cars of many strange designs parked in front of the brick house.

There were now 4 cars parked there in fact, and she could see more nobles inside the house as well drinking something hot and talking amongst themselves. And while watching them from behind the trees in the forest, she had then also seen a yellow bus coming to turn around in front of the brick house before heading back down the mountain. And sitting in the bus with a depressed looking face and a bag on his lap, was Alex.

Where Alex was heading she knew not and did not dare to question. For the Sargent had always said it to be best to just let the nobles do their own things and not think too much on that. Although if she had to guess, then by the looks on his face and all that he had spoken of, she could surmise that he was probably going to school.

Thinking of this did make her feel sad for Alex. Nobles truly didn't have all that great of lives after all it seemed. And this was even further proven to her when Alex returned later that day with a torn lip and a swollen black eye.

She had merely been meditating at the lakeshore, strengthening her core of light, and trying to infuse it with her heart to create a better and stronger connection that would also protect her heart from most demon attacks.

Although she had trouble succeeding in this as she was constantly distracted by different things. Like that day it was the blue sky and those occasional planes that came to draw cloudy lines into the sky above, blocking her view of the sun. Which did make her wonder what they were.

And that's when she had gotten surprised by the beaten up sight of Alex running to her, asking for more training. He had tiers in his eyes and sounded so desperate as he spoke to her saying.

"Lili, please teach me how to fight. I I, I mean I know expecting me to become some kind of a martial arts expert in a day is impossible. But I saw you fight and win, despite you being such a small girl. You must have some kind of a secret right. Like a move or some technique that I can use on Tyler to win against him? Please help me, I'll do anything if you just help me win, or I at least want to give him an even fight which will not make me look like a loser.

Please Lili, there's just a month left of school, and if I don't change things here. Then I will just be going into highschool as a loser and just continue being beaten up and bullied. I refuse to do that. No, I can't do that, no way, I refuse to suffer four more years of hell like this. Please Lili whatever you want, you can have it if you just help me stand up to Tyler. I don't want to get beaten up by him again tomorrow and be laughed at and mocked by everyone."

Hearing this Lili merely tilted her head in confusion and thought for a bit as she looked to the sky. Then a thought came to her and she pointed to one of the planes flying up in the clouds and said. "That."

Seemingly surprised Alex looked up to where she pointed and then quickly said. "What? You want a plane? No, I can't do that. Do you know just how much those things cost? I mean we barely have enough money to maintain everything we have here as it is. Please ask for something else, something affordable."

Hearing this Lili felt confused. Why couldn't Alex get a plane for her, while the Sargent could. She could remember pointing at the demons positions in the distance and calling them out to the Sargent by simply pointing at some place and saying, there. And then the Sargent would call the planes on the radio, and they would quickly come and drop bombs on the demons, but why couldn't Alex do this.

Well then again as she thought of it now, it did seem that the demons here were quite weak and passive. And the nobles didn't seem overly concerned with them, so maybe there simply was no need for bombs here. And bombing such a beautiful place would have been quite a loss anyway.

Unsure, Lili thought back on what she had seen in the morning and then happily looked to Alex and said. "I want a hot drink."

The Sargent always gave her hot drinks like coffee, so this should not have been a problem for a noble, right? And she didn't want to ask for anything too great after all she didn't want to be greedy or annoy Alex who was probably not just a noble but a holy being, right.

To this request Alex immediately seemed to agree to as his eyes widened in excitement and he said. "Ooh, so you like to drink hot chocolate too? Oh man I love drinking hot chocolate and playing games. It's amazing. Like yeah, of course I'll bring you it tomorrow for sure. That's a promise."

Alex put his hand forward after saying this and Lili took it and they shook hands. Lili knew not what hot chocolate was, but Alex liked it so she liked it as well.

Having only about six hours to teach Alex before he needed to return home, Lili decided to just give him the very basics of fighting. She knew not of any secret techniques to gain a certain victory, but she did know that having a certain mindset and the right attitude was important if you wanted to win.

So she thought Alex of the ways of Jesus in the book of beginnings. For Jesus was the greatest of all warriors in history, a warrior whos only weapon was his body, and his only defence was his body as well. The man was superhuman, not something that a mortal man could ever be, but something that could be learned from.

So Lili then began to teach, although it was a bit hard due to her limited social skills. But despite this she tried to explain things by saying things like.

"One leg forward, one back, eyes on target and locked there. Hands up, stable and always up to defend, never down or you'll be put down. Eyes open, never closed, if closed, then you lose. Remember to accept pain, you must be willing to like pain, no fear of it. No retreat as long as you breathe. Fight till the end, be willing to die if you want to win. For one cannot win, if one does not believe in it themselves to be capable of it. You must be willing to die before defeat, to be able to conquer life, to see the light. Cause once you enter the fight, you must believe, you must be undefeated, no matter how much you might bleed. This is the mentality you must have if you wish to have a chance of winning."

Hearing her words Alex seemed unsure at first, he had hesitated, but after some time he began to believe. He seemed to quickly gain confidence, he learned quite well and listened to her as well.

Seeing his quick change Lili couldn't help but smile. Truly Alex was a real man and an open-minded man at that, which she liked. She hadn't expected him to be so open to her words, but seeing him coming to accept her so quickly did make her feel happy and accepted.

From there she continued to teach Alex the basics of holding a fighting stance, guarding against different basic strikes, punching back, kicking, but only kicking the lower body, especially the knees.

Also Tyler did seem like the type that might try to use his size and strength to grab and use locks to entrap his enemies. So Lili also made sure to teach the very basics of escaping such things.

Although she knew this not to be enough for Alex to ever really win, unless he used his holy powers on Tyler. Thinking of it Lili did feel quite baffled, no more could she just wonder about it and so she mustered up the courage to ask.

"Mmm, Alex. Why don't you, mmm, smite Tyler?"

Hearing it the boy suddenly looked offended as he said. "Aa, haha ha, yeah very funny Lili. Yeah I get it, I play a lot of videogames ok. So what, a lot of people do it now a days. You might not realise it yet, but I'm going to become famous doing it one day. I'm gonna be the most famous level 90 paladin in the world, you just wait and see Lili. And then I will be rich, you'll see."

Seeing him so offended by her question, Lili quieted down and said no more on it. She knew not what a level 90 paladin was or what the other things he spoke of were, but it seemed to her that he didn't intend to use his powers here. For whatever reason he didn't seem capable of doing so, or simply just refused to do it.

And as the sun began to set and it came time for the now exhausted and sweaty Alex to leave, she decided to help him a little bit more. If he refused to use his powers then she would do it for him.

This Tyler seemed like a real menace that needed to be taken down. She could not just let Alex go face him like this. She had to do whatever she could to help him win.

So when Alex was about to leave, she stopped him by pulling on his sleeve and shyly asking. "Mmm, Alex. Could I massage you? I want to make you strong."

The Sargent had always said that she should not show her light to anyone, except her closest of friends. But Alex was close to her and she liked him. And Alex should as a holy being hold a light of his own anyway so it was alright, right.

Alex seemed quite surprised at her request, but did luckily accept her help as he said. "Mmm, oh ok, I guess."

Then Lili made him expose his chubby body to her as he took off his shirt and made him lay belly down on the grassy ground. Getting on top of his large back, Alex flinched at her mounting him as he asked. "Lili, what are you doing?"

Sitting on him, she merely tilted her head again in confusion and said simply. "I'm going to make you strong."

Alex just let out a confused, ok, as he looked to the ground and waited for her to begin. Seeing it, Lili Then began her special massage session.

Infusing her eyes in the power of the light, her eyes began to glow a white light. With this done she could start to see inside Alex and look at all the imperfections and damaged parts within him that might need her massaging help, as she called it. Strangely there was quite a lot of those things within him, which did make her wonder, just why was this?

With her magical eyes she could see many bad colours, the colour of sickness and damage within him. Alex's whole body was full of gray and red spots with different shades of darkness. With there being so many sickly dark red spots within him, Lili was shocked. For an angel he was in a pretty bad shape with what seemed like a lot of poison within him, which were slowly killing him. By the looks of him, it seemed that at best he might live to the age of sixty, which to her knowledge was not normal even for regular human grunts like the Sargents friends.

To her knowledge only in times of great strife and war would people have life expectancies so low. But here there seemed to be peace and yet he was this sick. If she didn't remember wrong then the Sargent like his friends were already people in their hundreds and yet they were still capable of fighting against those demons.

Curious of the reason for this she delved in deeper to check his core of light that all holy beings were supposed to have, but there she only saw a faint glow. The glow was so small that it seemed like it was about to fade completely. Maybe a few more years and it would not be there anymore.

But how could this be? Why did Alex let his light become so small and dim? After all Alex held the male orientated light of strength and protection, a golden red light that was supposed to be so strong. Unlike her light of Life and healing.

From her understanding of the Sargents teachings both were extremely rare and assigned according to ones gender. But why was Alex so weak? This she could not comprehend and so she had to ask.

"Alex, your light is fading. Why?"

Alex seemed to pause for a second as if not understanding her meaning as he then asked. "Huh, what light? What do you mean now?"

Lilis hands came to her mouth as she gasped in shock hearing this. Alex didn't even seem to know of his own light. How was he so unknowing of this? Didn't he say he was going to this place called school to learn? If so then how did he not know?

Thinking of it Lili couldn't help but worry and say.

"Alex, I mean, the light inside you. Can't you feel it?" Saying this Lili placed her hands on his back to look at his light. Now it finally started to make sense to her. Finally she understood why this Tyler was such a threat to him, even though she was pretty sure that he was nothing but a normal human noble boy.

But Alex seemed to not understand her at all as he glanced backwards at Lili and asked.

"Huh? What do you mean Lili?" But then his eyes widened in shock as he saw her glowing eyes. "Wa wa what? Lili your eyes! Your eyes are glowing?"

He seemed to be in total shock as he then noticed Lilis hands start glowing as well. And then the comforting warmth of her light hit him and he calmed down and shut up to Lilis relief.

Lili pushed her light inside of his core, there close to the heart, she tried to reach his light, but couldn't get it to start. She merely managed to start healing his other parts, but not that what she wanted to reach. Her connection to it was too weak, he wasn't accepting her within him fully, and her reach was not strong enough to reach him. She needed to get closer to it, to touch it herself.

Frustrated at this, she said. "Wait here." As she then got up and went to get her stone knife from her little shelter in the forest. Honestly she didn't really know what it was that she was doing, but something deep within her was saying this to be the only way to reach it and get it to start again.

For a moment Alex sat there in total disbelief at what he had just seen, but soon his face turned to worry as he watched Lili coming out of the forest with a primitive knife in hand.

"Lili, wa, what are you doing with that knife?"

Coming to a stop in front of the worried Alex, she then lifted up her left hand and used her right which was holding the knife to cut her own wrist. Seeing it Alex fell backwards and yelled in horror. "Oh my god Lili! What the hell are you doing? You fucking cut yourself!"

Lili didn't listen she just held a frown on her face as she coated her blade in her own blood, which then began to faintly glow.

Once more Alex yelled. "Oh my god! What the fuck it's glowing, how? Wait no way, do you actually have super powers? Lili, oh my god, you have super powers don't you?"

Lili took the knife's blade into her right hand, squeezed it tight causing her hand to get cut on it, as she then said. "No, I merely hold a piece of god's light within me, as do you. Now turn around and look up at the sun."

Wide eyed and mouth agape Alex just nodded dumbly and did as Lili said as he also asked. "Wait what? Your saying I have super powers too?"

Lili got behind Alex, made him rest his head on her lap, as she answered him by saying. "Yes, your similar to me. But now I need to restart it for you. That is if you want me to and are willing to trust me fully with this?"

Laying there on Lilis soft lap, with the sun falling behind the horizon in front of him, Alex hesitated seeing Lilis bloody hand, but seemed to get excited as he looked upon the knife that came to rest upon the right side of his chest. Lili waited ready to stab Alex as he then said. "Oh hell yeah, of course I want super powers! Just tell me what to do. Oh man I can't wait to fly. Wait I'm going to be able to fly like superman right?"

Lili just showed a serious frown as she said. "Drink my blood and don't resist the pain. Accept it and accept me, can you do that?"

Alex shook in seeming excitement now saying. "What, no way, am I going to become a vampire. Well it's not as cool as superman, but yes, of course I'll do it. Please I'll do anything you ask. Just give it to me already!"

Hearing his acceptance of her, and feeling it deep within his core as well, she knew him to be speaking no lies here. And so she then shoved her bloody wrist against Alex's mouth, he didn't resist and happily took it and began sucking out her blood.

Lili waited, she could feel and see her blood going into him, she felt a bit dizzy, but she could also feel her blood creating a stronger connection between them. Using this connection she could then tap into him with her light much better.

Then as she felt the time become right, she used her left hand to heal Alex which in turn made him feel at ease. She moved the knife just a bit to his right, to a spot where the rib cage was not in the way, and then with her bloody right hand she stabbed the primitive knife into him.

Immediately she could feel Alex turn to panic and try to escape. With her left arm she held his head in place and then her legs opened and wrapped around him, as she yelled to him. "Calm down, show me that you are a man! Your not going to die, I swear. And it's not like I'm stabbing you in the heart, ok! Just accept me within you and look at the falling sun, it will be alright. I swear."

She poured more of her magic within him, which along with her words seemed to make him calm down. And then with her glowing knife she struck deep, there where the faint light was hidden. The knife and her dainty little hand were now within him. And as her glowing blood made contact with his unseen magical core she poured her magic there and ignited it yet again.

Alex's whole body went stiff, his eyes began to glow out a golden yellow light as did his now open mouth. She could feel the light core within him expanding for but a few seconds, it felt strong and then it contracted again. His eyes stopped glowing as did his mouth, Lili used her light to create a protective ball of energy around it and then it formed into a small ball. And so it came to a stable stop, Lili studied it for a moment, felt it to be alright and so it was then done.

Lili pulled out the knife, used her healing to close Alex's and her wounds back up. And then she just fell in exhaustion on her back, breathing heavily so as she did. She felt like fainting, her head was spinning, body was sweating like crazy and all her muscles felt so sore.

Alex's heavy head was there on her lower half, he seemed unconscious and for a long moment the two just lay there like that in silence.

But then two worried shouts came from somewhere in the strawberry fields, one sounded feminine and the other masculine and deep. "Alex! Where are you!" "Alexander Love! Stop hiding and come home this instant! Whatever happened at school today we can sort out! Just come home already and let's talk!"

Hearing the yells seemed to bring Alex back into reality. His eyes shot open and he began looking around in confusion.

Looking at him, Lili could see that his face was now fully healed. He looked maybe a bit manlier now, but not different much at all.

Alex although seemed offly excited as he got up to his feet, stood there, did a few practice hops, got into the fighting stance she had just thought him and then he did a few kicks and punches. Now he seemed faster, a bit more stable and sure of himself, although his fat did jiggle around a bit taking away from the otherwise cool moment.

Then he stopped, looked at himself and excitedly exclaimed. "Holy shit I feel so light and fast, it's like I'm twice the man that I was before. Hahaha."

Seeing him being pleased with the results, Lili felt happy. Although she was also feeling a bit conflicted about him now, she felt a bit betrayed and a bit mad at him. Just why was he so weak and such a fool not to realise his own power before? Or was his power always just that weak that he couldn't ever see it?

However it was, it didn't matter now. The yells were getting closer and it seemed that it was time for Alex to go, as it was also getting quite dark. So Lili took a small white crystal that was one of her light stones from a small pouch on her side and tossed it to him.

Without her needing to say anything, Alex seemed to notice it's faint glow and caught it as he then asked. "What's this?"

Feeling weak she just lay there and tried to explain quickly. "It's a light stone of mine, it will heal you in times of need. That is if you hold allegiance to me, hold no I'll intent towards me believe in me and silently in your mind think of me as you ask for its help. Doing this will make it automatically heal you with whatever little power it holds, but it will also give me a chance to heal you as well. So keep it close and hidden, as it will start to glow. And remember that with it I will be able to be with you wherever you go."

For a moment Alex looked at it with curiosity, then a smile came to his face, he placed the stone in his pocket and turned to her. And then he suddenly came on top of her, gave her a big warm hug and pressed his lips on her right cheek. A small mooch was heard, Lili felt stunned by it, for whatever reason it specifically made her feel a bit tingly and hot inside. It just felt so nice to her and so new.

Then Alex pulled away and showed her a smile as he happily said. "Hihi, now that will be our first kiss. Hopefully it was not too much for you. But seriously thank you Lili, thank you for everything. Tomorrow I will make sure to win not for me, but for you. I will make you proud of me, my partner. Hihihi."

To this Lili said nothing, she merely watched in silence as Alex got off of her, picked up his shirt and ran to the voices in the distance. Seeing him go, Lili now felt a bit disappointed. He felt so warm, he was so big and yet so accepting of her, so friendly and so gentle. She wanted to spend more time with him, but sadly she couldn't.

He was a noble and she was not. He had his school and she didn't. He lived in that big house and she could only just watch from a distance and wait for him to come to her. For no commoner like her was to get too close or to enter. These were just how things were between commoners and nobles and she was to be grateful to even be allowed to move on his land as much as she did.

For the Sargent always warned her to not get too close to any of them. While they might not shoot you for the slightest of offences, they for sure would send you to the front and make you undertake a suicidal mission. And if you survived one, then there were a hundred other missions left to come.

The thought of it sent small shivers of fear into her still. She had seen men torn up in a few stupid frontal charges before. She definitely didn't want that, or whatever else they might have here in heaven in-store for naughty commoners.

Pushing those needless thoughts away, she felt exhaustion start to really hit her now and a feeling of wanting to sleep came as well. Honestly she couldn't believe just how much it was that she had been made to talk today. Almost never did she talk in the past like this, but maybe that was just the effect that Alex's kindness had on her.

And that kiss, oh god, that kiss was nice. Wait wasn't he going to kiss her before on the lips, right? Oh no, oh no, why didn't she know of this before? Damn the Sargent never thought her of anything like this. But wait, what would a kiss on the lips even feel like?

Thinking of it, Lili placed her hands on her lips and felt the heat build up within her now. Oh god, what was she even thinking of now? But wait didn't he speak of that being just their first kiss? So then there was definitely going to be more, more kissing and maybe hugging?

Oh how was she to face him again after this? What should she do, how should she react to him? Wait why did he even kiss her, no one else ever did that, so why now? Oh no wait, the Sargent did say something about keeping men and women usually separated in the legions as they didn't want any drama and babies to be born, right.

Placing her hands on her lower belly, Lili could just feel the warmth building up there at the thought of this. Where they going to have a baby now, but how did that work she didn't know. But it did make her feel so happy and excited, she wanted to have Alex's baby. But what was a baby, she didn't know really. There had been some small skeletons around that were supposedly those of babies, but what was it? This she wasn't sure exactly of as she had always been the youngest around.

Although babies were for some reason an extremely heart warming thought to her. It made her feel at ease and so happy. She could only just smile and then slowly start to feel herself beginning to fall asleep.

So with both hands upon her belly she quickly fell asleep under the stars. Throughout that night her dreams were filled with many handsome Alexs giving her kisses and handing her babies that floated down to earth with each and every kiss that Alex gave her.

They looked so cute, so much like Alex except they were so small and held energy rifles in hand and wore the Sargents combat armour. Soon there were so many of them, so much so that they formed a small legion of baby grunts that ran into the trenches. Where they then fought and defended her and Alex as they spawned in even more babies to fight for them.

Soon the dream expanded and it became clear. They were at the lake shore and the surrounding mountains were all filled with massive fortresses full of anti-aircraft guns. And there were trenches connecting them all and hundreds of thousands of babies running around everywhere as the Demons sent their metallic pods raining down on them from the heavens.

The pods opened up, babies swarmed the hulking demons, but it was no use. The babies were tossed back to heaven by them and then the bomb came in front of her again. Although this time she could see it come and noticed it coming from some extremely large black metallic boat above her. It was so huge that it seemed at least a thousand times the size of lake Mansfield.

Seeing it Lili couldn't believe it, it's size, bombs dripping from it, pods coming down from it and all the Xplosions and fire. How was someone supposed to beat such a thing and it was so high as well. Even little Betty could it reach it, no way and no amount of babies would for sure help.

Then darkness came, her end had come, oh no wait, no it didn't. Her eyes shot open, it was morning, she was alive and well.

Quickly babies and Alex came to her mind, so she slowly got up upon her sore legs and started making her way to the tree lines opposite of Alex's home.

Getting there just in time, she could see Alex get on the bus and as it rode past her she started waving to him in excitement. Alex seemed a bit nervous looking down at his bag, but as his eyes caught her jumping and waving in the forest, he immediately looked up and a smile came to him. He came to hug the window and waved at her.

But as the bus turned at the brick house and began to drive the other way, Alex came to the window again and seemed to ask. "Lili, what are you doing here. Go to your school already. You'll be late."

Seeing thus Lili watched in confusion as the bus rode further and further away, with Alex looking in worry at her. Had she done something wrong here? Was she supposed to be at school as well, but why? She felt so confused, so baffled by it all.

Unsure of herself, or what it was that she was even doing now. Lili decided to not try and hunt the demons that day. Honestly she wasn't even sure if they were even demons anymore. They were so cute looking, so helpless, so stupid always falling for her simple stick traps.

To her they seemed more like those few harmless fluffy rats that always came to eat her plants in the sewers. They pooped around, there were always so many of them, especially if she let them eat too much of her plants and if she ate too little of them.

Although the horned beasts or demons or whatever they were, did still make her feel a bit concerned. After all demons usually had at least a single horn on them, although it would either be red or black. So feeling unsure as she was she decided to just concentrate on meditating.

Sitting there at the lakeshore it didn't take long for her to feel a disturbance on her little magical string that was unseen to all but her and was attached to the stone she gave Alex. She could somewhat see his surroundings and hear the voices of others close to him and feel their emotions.

She could feel a hostile force standing before Alex saying. "You ready for another beating to day loser? Or you could always just pay me for your freedom in cash, one thousand a month should do, hahaha!"

Alex felt like he was hesitating, but as he took a hold of the light stone in his pocket he suddenly found his courage as he said. "Haha, good one Tyler. But I'm sad to say that today its me who's going to be kicking your ass. That's if you have the guts to fight someone as great as me?"

The hostile force that was Tyler seemed to get disturbed by this. Others around laughed and cheered Alex on as Tyler said. "The fuck did you just say? Did me beating you yesterday damage your brain and make you stupid or something? Hah, fine whatever, it doesn't matter to me. lets just go to the bathroom and get this school day really started. I love a good fight in the morning, just too bad I ain't getting it from you, hahaha."

Alex seemed to get a bit emotional at his words, he felt mad. But nonetheless he followed Tyler as did a large group of other kids. And soon they were in the wide bathroom, with Alex's back towards the wall, a row of bathroom stalls to his right and sinks to his left.

Alex stood alone while Tyler had his friends behind him and many other kids with those small flat screen devices in their hands.

Then Tyler got into his basic boxing stance and Alex did the same, although his legs were a bit shaky and Lili could see his eyes looking at the people and their devices instead of Tyler. Alex didn't seem confident at all, as Tyler spoke first and asked.

"You ready nerd?"

Alex gulped down some nervous saliva, his posture was all over the place and legs a little caved in as he said. "B b brin, bring it on, bitch."

People laughed, Tyler merely shook his head in a seeming disappointment and said. "Man I was so looking forward to crushing your balls today and making you a real fucking bitch, but seems you already beat me to it. Fucking pathetic mother fucker!"

Then Tyler advanced and like before he started out with his jabs. First came hard on Alex's right hand, he flinched in pain, his guard opened, the other came through the gap and stuck him straight in the face. "Ahhhhh!" Alex yelled in pain and staggered back closer to the wall and then Tyler sent a right hook into his face. "Bam!"

Alex fell to his right hard, he wasn't knocked out, but he seemed totally out of it and not about to get up any time soon.

People cheered from the side, they seemed to enjoy the violence and the blood that now leaked from Alexs mouth a little. She couldn't see them all that well, but she could feel them there and it disgusted her.

While fighting was something the Sargent and others did to stay fit and compete amongst one another. They never made fun of or mocked each other, there was respect between them, they shook hands, shared their thoughts and gave constructive criticism to one another. Fighting is serious, people could get hurt and that was nothing to make fun at, especially when they were your people. And as far as she knew all these people were nobles and yet they were so vile and evil.

But then the fight continued again, Tyler spat on Alex and said. "I'm not done with you yet, loser."

He grabbed a hold of Alex, lifted him onto his feet and shoved him against the bathroom wall. Alex used his arms to somewhat defend himself, but it was hardly any use as Tyler began sending combos of two left jabs and a hard right, right into Alex face.

Again and again the combos came, blood flew, Alex nose cracked, his lip got torn, eyes began to swell and blood was everywhere. He tried to get low to avoid Tyler's straight punches, but doing this immediately just made Tyler grab at him and sent a hard knee into his face.

Again and again these attacks came. Alex was getting beaten bad and there was a wicked smile on the taller boys face. Tyler seemed to absolutely be loving this as he said. "Oh man, now this is a workout! You know loser, you should really think of applying to be the schools punching bag. Since your so good at getting fucked up. Hahaha!"

Although Tyler seemed overly confident now and the other kids seemed to be losing interest thinking that the fight was already over, there was one girlish voice who screamed in worry on the sides. "No stop it. Your gonna kill him!"

The others held this feminine voice back, not letting her get any closer. But there was something that they all seemed to be missing and that was that Alex was still breathing and in the fight.

It seemed his light of protection was doing wonders to him right about now, as all his teeth were still amazingly intact and his nose, even if a bit bent, wasn't shattered or cracked really. His eyes and body also were getting swollen and head quite damaged, and yet he still managed to stay awake and in the fight.

While Tyler on the other hand was starting to sweat buckets, his movements had become slow and his posture sloppy and a bit shaky. The young man although strong, just didn't have the stamina to keep on going much longer or the strength to knock Alex out. And with each second the fight went on, Alex seemed to be getting more and more used to the pain and more confident in himself.

Then as if having enough, Tyler roared in rage as he sent another right hook into Alex's face. Alex took a straight hit, but he didn't fall this time, he stood strong and he just took it like a boss.

Tyler was huffing and puffing in exhaustion as he then went to grab at Alex's collar, as he said. "AHH, fuck! Why don't you just go down already loser and beg for mercy like always?"

For a moment Tyler looked to Alex and waited for a response, but nothing. And then he let out a roar. "Ahhh!" Tyler seemed to be intending to throw Alex at the sinks, but then Alex looked up at him, smiled and grabbed at Tyler's collar stopping him.

Tyler stopped and looked down at Alex in what almost felt like fear, there seemed to be something about Alex's smile that scared him and then Alex pulled Tyler in close and smashed his forehead into his face. "Bam!"

Tyler's nose got crushed and for a second or two he seemed to be totally stunned, but before he could recover Alex moved. Alex placed his right foot on the outside of Tyler's left, just like Lili had thought him and then used his hands to pull Tyler down towards the sink. Tyler stumbled on Alex's right foot and with Alex's hands pulling him down he smashed his head right through the sink. "Bam!" The sound of the sink breaking was loud, something cracked and Tyler was instantly out.

Seeing this the crowd gasped in shock. A yell of another boy was heard. "You fucking bastard!"

Before Alex could even fully get off the ground someone kicked him in the face. He fell off of Tyler and again close to the wall, as he was then assaulted again. This time two boys came kicking violently at him.

They stomped on his head, kicked his ribs, stomped on his stomach and crushed his nose and teeth in. But then it came, Lili felt Alex call out to her. The string attached to the stone began to vibrate as if signalling a call for help and then it grew and strengthened.

Sitting at the lakeside in a cross-legged position, with her eyes closed and hands together, Lilis face was towards the sun as she concentrated and sent her light to him. Soon a faint light began to glow within Alex's shorts, shorts that were hidden under his pants and slowly the light flew into his body.

A calmness came over Alex who was in a fetal position, and the pain began to go away as he began to be healed. And as the boys stopped for a second to see the results of their brutal attack, Alex struck.

His eyes shot open, he turned his legs to face them with great speed and then he sent but a single straight kick into one of their knees. Only a hard crack was heard as the knee bent backwards, the boy fell down screaming in pain. "Ahhh!"

The other boy saw this, but was too slow to react as Alex then swept his legs from under him with a hard side kick. The boy was totally unprepared for this and immediately fell to his side. He hit the bathroom floor with a hard bang.

Alex himself was now all bloodied and bruised with his teeth missing and nose broken as he got to his feet and ripped off his shirt. Only a bloody and exhausted smirk was there to be seen as he said. "Bring it on, you cowards!"

Three boys, most likely more of Tyler's friends hesitated, looked at each other, but then just nodded and attacked. Once again Alex tried to defend, but now with three against one he quickly just turned into the three boys punching bag.

His guard broke again, and now only Lilis light and the hope of the boys breaking themselves on his body kept him going.

From the sides people held their devices and were looking in awe as Alex took more hits than any they had ever before seen take and still remain standing. Alex was like a true machine, a tank of sorts, except for the fact that he couldn't fight back much at all and he just took the hits.

But then the same feminine voice came again yelling. "There, they are there! Teacher please save Alex they are killing him!"

And as this was said. This person called a teacher then came, the boys almost immediately stopped punching Alex as the teacher gasped in horror and said. "Oh sweet lord in heaven. Oh Jesus, what did you boys do? Oh please tell me that none of you are dead."

After that Lili felt the danger quickly fade again. And with the danger leaving, Alex began to calm down and unknowingly seemed to pull back his request for any more help, which basically cut off her connection to the school. She could still feel Alex and she wanted to help him out more, but couldn't. She herself was already feeling the strain of it all and needed to end it there.

In her past she was quite strong and could heal all of Sargents friends from serious injuries and so much more. But here healing one person at a distance was already stretching herself to the limits, making her feel dizzy and weak again.

So the rest of her day Lili spent in relative peace, she merely meditated and finally found some peace of mind in knowing that Alex had won. Thanks to it and her mood being so great she finally managed to connect her core with her heart.

Doing so she could feel herself growing a bit stronger in the light and a lot closer to it. In fact changes within her almost immediately started to take place. Her core gained a faint deep blue light within its center as the white light became brighter and spread throughout her body. Her skin became smoother like silk, as the Sargent liked to say, her hair turned to an icy white blonde colour, like the colour of her light. She could also feel her senses sharpen and her deep blue eyes become brighter and more clear, letting her see farther and better than before.

Finally she had taken another step closer to that what she had been before in her past life. But then as the sun began to set she felt Alex getting closer to his home, but he didn't feel happy at all. No he felt quite mad for some reason.

Curious of this Lili rushed to the tree line again to see what was going on. Then from behind the bushes she watched as a dark car with a yellow line on it, and some emergency lights on it's roof turned into the driveway of Alex's home.

And as the cars engine turned off, the door opened and she saw a big man with a funny looking hat get out the car. He held three stripes on his silver tan coloured shirt that was hidden under a bulletproof vest of some kind, he had black pants and also a tactical belt with many different things on it and a gun. Also she couldn't help but notice his shiny black shoes. He looked kind of fancy for a Sargent in her opinion, and quite lightly equipped at that.

Then he opened the backdoor of his car and she could see Alex getting out of it with handcuffs on. Seeing it Lilis heart immediately sank, her hand went to grab at her knife attached to her side. Immediately her thoughts went to the time she was cuffed like that by bad men and so she almost rushed in then and there to help Alex.

But for whatever reason, this Sargent freed Alex from his cuffs and escorted him to his home door, where then a good-looking man and the goddess from the brick house came to invite them both in.

Seeing it Lili felt confused, what was going on here? Why would Alex be cuffed in a car and then let out like that? Was she too going to be let out like that back then, had she overreacted and shot those men dead for no reason?

But no, she hadn't. She wasn't stupid to people's intentions, she could feel the evil within those men and she was right to shoot them.

Although now she knew not what to think, and so she turned back to her Sargents teachings and decided to just let these violent nobles do their own thing. As a commoner it was best she just do her own thing, and if Alex wanted to come and see her, then he would surely do so eventually, right.

But for now she needed to make a forge for herself and prepare heavens defences in case of the demons attack again. After all these nobles didn't seem interested in doing it, so then she would do it instead.

Thinking back on her dream she knew that something needed to be done to bring down that big demon ship. She didn't want to face it again only to have those hulking monsters come again and bombes dropped on her. So with this in mind she headed off to find some clay and iron to start her off first. Plus this was something she also just needed to do if she wanted her and Alexs babies to have a fighting chance against the demons in the future.
