Chapter 269: Three Women, One Drama

"Hey! Hela, it's your turn to go out today, right? So why are you still staying here?"

From afar came Gwen's voice, followed by hurried footsteps as she stormed into Hela's room and dragged her out of bed.

"What are you doing, Gwen? Let me sleep a bit longer," Hela said lazily, sitting up as her pajamas slipped off her shoulder. Gwen stood with her hands on her hips, visibly angry.

"You've been living here for over a month! Aren't you planning to leave?" Gwen demanded.

Hela's face instantly darkened. Every time this topic came up, she regretted not leaving with the Emperor when she had the chance.

"I'm not leaving. I've waited a month already. What if I leave, and the Emperor comes back right after?"

Hela got out of bed and followed Gwen to the living room, where Wanda was already seated. Hela chuckled lightly. Half a month ago, Wanda had suddenly shown up, claiming that the Emperor had asked her to come.

Initially, Hela had bombarded Wanda with questions about the Emperor's whereabouts, but Wanda's cold and indifferent attitude soon killed her interest. However, recently, Hela had started to suspect something, and her gaze toward Wanda became sharp.

"You're both up? Didn't we agree to take turns being Spider-Woman for a day?" Wanda asked.

Gwen quickly pointed at Hela. "It's her fault! She refuses to go out!"

Recently, Gwen had been patrolling daily to maintain peace, worried that Hela might harm Alan if he returned. To manage the situation, the three women devised a plan to take turns wearing the Spider suit for patrols. Thanks to the female Venom symbiote attached to the suit, which had copied Gwen's abilities, no one could tell the difference between them.

Reluctantly, Hela donned the Spider suit. The Lady Venom symbiote cooperated, shooting out webs to help her leave the house.

Not long after stepping out, Hela saw the Emperor flying in from a distance with the Red Queen. Overjoyed, she swung toward him on her webs. When Alan spotted her, he stopped mid-air and greeted her.

"Gwen!"

Hela froze for a moment before remembering she was wearing Gwen's suit. She slowly approached Alan and said, "I finally found you, Emperor! Where have you been all this time?"

"Emperor?" Alan was momentarily confused, wondering why Gwen would address him like that. Then it struck him—perhaps Hela was nearby, and Gwen was being cautious.

"Is Hela around?" Alan whispered nervously.

Hela's curiosity was piqued by his reaction.

"What about Hela? She's not here," she replied.

Alan sighed in relief and patted his chest.

"I spent the past month building a spaceship equipped with a warp engine. Remember what I told you last time? Once the university summer break starts, I'll come find you."

"What, what?" Hela was utterly baffled, but she nodded earnestly, pretending to understand to avoid exposing her identity.

"Alright then, I'll head back now." Alan bid her farewell and returned home.

When Wanda saw Alan enter, she jumped up excitedly. "Alan, you're back!"

Gwen also heard Wanda's voice and came rushing out of the kitchen in a panic. "Alan, where have you been all this time?"

"Gwen… Gwen!" Alan shouted in shock.

Why was there another Gwen?

He grabbed her hand in disbelief and, upon realizing she was real, his legs nearly gave out.

"You're the real Gwen! Then who was the person in the Spider suit earlier?"
