"Liam, I would rather be with you"

I was so nervous. What was going to happen next? How will he react?

Before I can continue my thoughts, Liam cups my face with his hands and brings his lips inches away from mine. His gaze shifts from my eyes to my lips, I do the same. 

My breathing starts to get heavier and I feel my heart jumping out of my chest.

In a deep husky voice, he whispers "I never thought you would say that" and claims his lips with mine. 

The touch of his lips, for the second time today, felt like a flower being bloomed. Something new arising which sent shivers down my spine.

 He gently bites my lip and we move in sync. I felt like I couldn't get enough of him, ever. One of his hands move down from my face and onto my thigh which slowly starts to move up... and up.. anddddd

I gently push on his chest and pull away from the kiss "We need to stop, before someone sees us" I whisper, bringing my eyes up to meet his

He pushes a few strands of hair away from my face "I don't care what people think. I just care about you" and he claims my lips once again

I smile into the kiss and pull away "It's not right Liam, to do this here.."

He lets out a breath and brushes his hand through his hair 

"You're right, besides we should go back in" He says

We both stand up and I realize my legs have fallen asleep which causes me to bump into him. 

We both let out a little laugh and I put my arms around his neck leaning in for another kiss. I give him a peck and we turn to see David... looking at us.

Sh*t.

Liam looks down at me and I start to panic, I try to approach him "David I" but he interrupts me 

"You want him? Be with him" he simply says and goes back into the gala

I grab his arm before he goes back in "David stop. I love spending time with you but I just want to be clear that you're an amazing friend. And I don't want that to change or to lose you. Please understand that" I say.

He takes a deep breath and looks me in the eyes "Alex dear, of course. I love spending time with you as well. I just wish you would have clarified everything first." he says 

"I know, and I'm sorry. I hope we can still be friends" I say with my hand on his arm 

"Of course, and just know, Im always here for you" he says with a small smile and goes back into the party.

I let out a breath and turn to Liam "Well, we should go in, the auction is about to start"

I must say, the auction turned out to be a pretty good success which I was really happy to hear! I'm just happy we would be able to donate well to the charity in Ace's memory.

As people continue to enjoy the night, David doesn't act weird or mad but in fact, is really nice. I'm happy things won't be awkward with me and him. As for Liam, well, his hand kept on finding its way onto my thigh when sitting down at our table.

He also was very civil with David, which I was surprised by

David is talking with some business partners when a slow song begins to play. I turn to Liam and he sticks out his hand with a smile.

"May I have this dance M'Lady?" he asks.

I let out a little laugh "Wow so formal" I say and grab his hand. We make our way to the dance floor with all the other people who were dancing, and start to slow dance.

I must say, everything seemed to have been going right.

Until, a few moments later which would change everything for me.

Little did I know that what would happen next, would cause all my walls to come crumbling down in the future.

The song finally finishes and Liam and I head back to our table.

"Im going to use the restroom, Ill be back" I tell him and make my way out into the hall.

It's been a long night and I really needed to pee, so I make my way to the bathroom which was empty and do my business on the little toiletttt.

I finish and open my stall door to head to the bathroom sinks. As I'm washing my hands, I see a note on the sink which was addressed to me. That's weird..

It read: "Alexandra, sleep with your eyes open tonight"

Wtf. Who the hell wrote this?! No one was in the bathroom when I came in and I didn't hear anyone else come in! What the hell was happening and what is this threat!?

I don't let panic come over me, it's probably just some employee or someone who doesn't like me. Then it hits me, Veronica. I acted really rudely towards her so I wouldn't be surprised if it's her trying to scare me.

I shove the note in my clutch and make my way out of the bathroom. Disregarding this silly little note.

I head back to my table and continue the night as if nothing had happened. Making small talk here and there, I realize the night was coming to an end.

As the guests slowly start to leave, David and I greet them all and thank them for coming once again. The night truly was a success and I was really happy. I hope we can keep this memorial gala and turn it into a yearly tradition.

Almost everyone has left, there are only a few people left so I decide to grab my things and head home. Standing beside Molly, David and Liam by the exit door, I realize I had forgotten my things back at my table.

"Liam, Im going to go grab my things, Il be right back" I tell him 

"Do you want me to go instead?" he asks

 "No don't worry, Ill be right back" I answer and quickly walk over to my table

I grab my purse and light jacket and just before I go back, I once again see another note lying on my plate that was addressed to me...

It read: "Im warning you.."

Okay what the h*ll are these stupid threats?! I crumple up the piece of paper and as I turn around, I see that BI*CH Veronica about to leave.

Of course it was her, who else could it be? With steam boiling in me, I catch her right before she leaves and grab her arm turning her to face me.

"Don't you DARE threaten me again you little b*tch! Ever!" I snare at her

She looks taken back and yanks her arm away from my grip 

"What is wrong with you and what the hell are you talking about? The f*ck did Ace see in you anyway ugh!"" she says with her annoying ass voice.

And right at that moment, I would have slapped her but I feel familiar arms wrap around mine, caging me in from lashing out on her.

"Is everything okay?" Liam asks with my back against him

I turn my head to him 

"All good. We were just catching up and ending the night on the same page, weren't we Veronica?" I sneer through my teeth towards her

I see her eyes fixated on Liam with her mouth slightly open. 

This b*tch really drool.

"Veronica??" I question

She snaps out of her daze "Sorry, uhm Im Veronica. Have we met before?" she asks Liam sticking her hand out

Liam shakes her hand "No, I don't believe so.." he says hesitantly.

"You just look, oddly familiar" she says still holding his hand

Then I see David come over 

"Im heading out, I'll see you at work Alex, have a good sleep. 

Veronica, it was nice seeing you" he says and grabs her for a 

hug

I give David a smile and walk away with Liam, it was time we head out as well.

We make our way into the car that the valet had brought up from the parking garage. Liam walks to my door as usual and is about to open the back door for me when I stop him.

"Nuh-uh, I'm not sitting back there" I say

I open the front passenger door and take a seat beside him

He smiles and walks over to his door and gets into the car. 

He sits down and looks over at me right beside him.

"Well this is new.." Liam says with a smirk "A Lot of things that occurred today were new... so I wouldn't be surprised" I say with a laugh

Liam drives me home and I try not to doze off in the car, even though I was really tired from all the events of today.

"What was the deal with Veronica?" he asks me 

"Nothing, she just did something stupid that pissed me off as usual" I sigh

He lets out a little chuckle, "I think you Scare the woman now"

Good. I internally thought. That should teach her not to mess with me 

"What about you? Y'all had a moment" I say looking out the window

He turns to me "A moment? Thats funny. The only person I have 'moments' are with you" he says and grabs my hand holding it in his

I turn to face him with a smile. I felt really comfortable with Liam and I enjoyed his presence.

We finally reach home and he parks in front of the house.

"You're gonna drive home now?" I ask

 "I guess" he says 

"Why don't you just spend the night here. Its really late" I say 

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden'" he says innocently

This man...

"Liam you're not a burden! There are like 10 empty guest bedrooms in this mansion. Stay the night and you can leave whenever in the morning. It's Sunday tomorrow anyway." I say

He takes a moment to think. "Okay, I'll stay here for the night" he says

Liam parks the car and comes in with me. I showed him to one of the many rooms and I realized Molly was home. She brings him necessities like toothbrushes and towels etc.

I go into my room and change out of my dress and into a long shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun and wash my makeup off. 

Before I go to bed, I decide to stop by Liam's room.

I knock on his door and hear him say 'come in'.

I open the door and see him walk out of the bathroom with his dress shirt open and his sleeves rolled up. His beautifully toned body was revealed and he looked so goddamn sexy.

"Alex?" he calls out snapping me out of my gaze 

"Oh, uh-" he cuts me off

 "That's alright, you can keep admiring" he says with a chuckle

 "Shut Up" I laugh out

 "Anyway.Just wanted to say goodnight and thank you for today" I say standing by the doorframe

 "No, thank YOU Alex for letting me spend the night.

And.. for everything else" he says with a smirk as he walks closer towards me.

He's mere inches away from my face and I look down at his open shirt revealing his perfectly toned abs.

"Mhmm, and what is that?" I question, I bite my lip and cant help but run my hand down his chest.

He puts his hand on my lower back and pulls me closer to him. He whispers huskily in my ear

 "For becoming mine"

He starts to gently kiss my neck which causes me to roll my head back. He was sucking and kissing every single sweet spot. I let out a moan and clench his shirt for support.

He starts to trail kisses up my jaw and when he gets close to my mouth, I grab his face and connect his lips with mine. It wasa rough kiss, not like the other ones from tonight. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull on his hair.

He pushes me back against the wall really hard but has his hands around my back so I didn't feel any pain.

I moan into the rough kiss and feel his tongue battle against mine for dominance. Finally, he brings his arms lower and down to my thighs.

 He pushes me up and I wrap my legs around his torso. My long t-shirt rides up which reveals my panties which were wet by now...

He wins dominance and after a few seconds, we pull away. 

Both panting, out of breath.

I look into his beautiful eyes and rub my thumb against his cheek.

"Why are you so perfect?" I question under my breath

 "You bring out a better side of me" he says and gives me one final kiss before I step down.

"Mr. Wilson, I believe it is about time you got some rest" I say 

"If you insist. Goodnight Alexandra Anderson" he says with a smile

I walk over to the door and pause before heading back to my room

 "Goodnight Liam Wilson"
