💦 Liam/Ace 💦
I look to my left and see her beautiful smile. She was looking out the window and at the trees as we were waiting for her name to be called at Dr. Ashley's office.
Alex was beyond perfect. I felt like I had a purpose to this world whenever I was around her. The moment I met her, I knew I needed to change my life in order to have a chance with her. I never would have as Ace.
But as Liam, I do. The past few days have been the best days of my entire life. Holding her, making her smile, comforting her, I've never been this happy. However, the fact that I was lying to her kept on eating me away.
No matter how happy we both were, I knew that sOoner or later, I would have to tell her the truth and everything will change.
I decided to show her the exhibit at the museum. It was a project that I, well that Ace, had been working on for many years. It was like a place for me to get away, a false world that I created that only has peace.
Unfortunately, I was never able to complete the project after I left. I also had no motivation, with work and the crazy life I had.
But with Alex, I was motivated to finish the project. I had hope that life actually does have a meaning, with her.
After we left the museum, she told me that she needed to stop by Dr. Ashley's office since she had an appointment
"Why? Is everything alright?" I ask a bit worried
"Im alright don't worry. I just need to refill my medication and talk about some stuff, don't worry." she reassures me and holds my hand to calm down my nerves.
I was aware of her panic attacks and the depression she had gone through. It made me feel terrible, knowing that I escaped the harsh life I had as Ace and just left it on her. It was a horrible thing to do.
Which is why I was worried when she needed to visit the doctors office. Was everything alright?
I was also a bit nervous to see Ashley again. I only told him that I started working for Alex as her chauffeur. I haven't told him that we got closer...
"Alexandra" I hear the nurse call her name
"Ill be out here" I say to Alex, she nods her head in confirmation and walks towards the room
Sitting in the waiting room, I decided to contact a few of my previous security team to get them back at the house.
Something happened earlier this morning when Alex was looking through the security cameras and I was a bit worried. She wouldn't tell me what it was or what happened, but I still wanted to make sure she was safe.
I dial the number I had "AK Security how can I help you?" a man answers
"Hello, Im calling on behalf of the Anderson household, I would like to request 24/7 supervision at the mansion.
There already is an existing file" I say and provide them with the file number
"Sir, we already received a call a few hours ago and have reopened the Anderson case. A team is already set up to be sent for supervision at the mansion" he says
"Oh, my mistake. Thank you very much" I say and end the call
Someone already requested security? It must have been
Molly. There's definitely something going on and this started to worry me.
A few minutes later, I see Alex walkout of the room with
Dr. Ashley. She was laughing at something he had said and they walk towards me.
He definitely is surprised when he sees me, and gets even more surprised when Alex holds my hand
"Thank you very much Dr. Ashley, it was great seeing you again! By the way, this is Liam, I know he is a patient of yours, since I saw him at your office before he started working for me" she says looking at me and at Ashley
"Ah Liam, it's great to see you again. We really need to catch up" he says while giving me a death stare
"Ashley, great to see you. Alex, do you mind waiting a few minutes, as Dr. Ashley and I catch up?"I ask her knowing that I need to update him before he kills me
"Not at all! I'l be waiting out here" she says with her beautiful smile. I give her hand a squeeze and let go, following him into his office.
He closes his door and I take a seat on one of his office chairs "What the HELL are you doing Ace? I thought you said a Chauffeur!? A chauffeur does NOT hold their clients hand and walk around with them as if they're a couple.
You really are overstepping this man" he says angrily
"Well it's great to see you too. I'm doing just fine, thank you for asking" I say calmly.
This pisses him off even more, and I can't help but smile "Im serious Ace, when will you grow up? Do you not see how much you've already hurt the poor girl?
She's been through so much with your stupid games and yet you keep on playing them, and now with her heart. She doesn't deserve this Ace! She deserves the TRUTH" he yells
I bury my face in my hands and let out a groan "Ugh Ashley, why can't things be simple? Why can't I just have a normal life and not stress or worry or feel guilty all the time?" I ask
"Because you complicate everything. No one forced you to change yourself and pretend you were dead! And to make matters worse, you wont tell her the truth" he says
"I can't tell her the truth yet! I just CANT" I yell back pissed
"Why? What are you planning on doing? Lying to her forever? Will you marry and have kids with her the whole time living a lie? Everytime she calls 'Liam', it's a lie! How can you live like that? How could you do that to HER? Maybe for you doesn't matter since you're a robot who has no feelings but what about her Ace?
She has feelings, do you not think about her?" Ashley explains coming closer to me with a worried expression
"Im not sure if you notice, but she hurts everyday. And she will continue hurting for the rest of her life, until you tell her the truth" he continues
"But if I tell her the truth, I lose her! She doesn't want the arrogant son of a bitch 'Ace'. She never liked him, but she likes Liam". I can't lose her Ashley, losing her means losing everything I have and love in my life. She's all I have, the only reason I-im, still here." I pause at my words
"I love her." I repeat this time softly
He shakes his head at my words "She deserves to know the truth, even if it means not being with her. And If you truly love her, you will tell her" he says
There's a moment of silence where we just think, until ] break the silence "I will tell her. In 3 weeks at the exhibition opening" I say
He turns to me "Why there?" he asks
"Because, I want to change the world, for both of us.
And that is a perfect place to tell her. I showed her the exhibit before we came here. She thinks Liam made it" I answer
"Im glad you continued working on the project, I know how much it meant to you. But you need to be careful because The Met will be advertising your exhibition which has 'Ace's' name all over the posters. Not Liam's.
And she will see it sooner or later." he warns me
"I know" I say
"Does she know you own half of the museum?" he asks
"Of course not. That was part of my private accounts that my lawyers didn't know about. Who knows Ashley, maybe Il propose to her there in the future. In our new world" I smirk
"Don't get over your head Ace. First tell her the truth and then think about the future" he says walking over to the door
"Now go back to 'Ms. Anderson', she needs to pick up a refill on her medication that she's now on because of YOU." he says pointing to me
I let out a breath of air, feelings of regret and disappointment come back for doing this to her. I walk out of his room and see Alex in the waiting room area sitting on a chair with her back towards me.
I hug her from behind and whisper in her ear "Time to go" I say softly.
She smiles and turns to face me "How was your 'catching up'? Is everything alright?" she asks
"Everything's just fine" I answer.
We walk over to the elevator doors and wait for it to arrive.
My mind is overwhelmed with everything. From telling her the truth all the way to figuring out what happened this morning and why extra security was already called?
I feel a warm hand slide into mine and instantly relax, letting all my thoughts fly away. I turn to her resonating beauty and smile back, letting only thoughts of her run through my mind.
