"Sitting on my office chair, I lean back and let out a breath of air. It's been a long day of endless meetings, email replying, and working on new projects.

 I haven't had the chance to see Alex all day since we were so busy here at the office.

Tonight is the opening night of my exhibition at The Met.

This past week has gone by so fast but it's really been a different week to say the least. A good type of different.

Being with Alex, and knowing there were no more lies between us, no guilt or problems, was amazing. She was amazing. For the frst time in a very long time, I finally felt pure happiness and love, a purpose in life, to love and care for the only person who truly mattered. The only person I love and truly care about....

I hear a knock on my door and I sit up, telling them to

Come in.

I look up and I'm met with the most beautiful light brown-hazel eyes that I could never get enough of, smiling back at me.

"Hey you, I haven't seen you all day" she says in her dulcet voice walking towards me and laying a file on my desk

As she starts talking and explaining the file she placed on my desk, I zone out and can't help but look at her.

She was wearing an all white dress pant and matching blazer with her hair up in a bun. Bending close to me, her face was inches away from mine, moving my eyes away from her outfit and up to her lips.

"So what do you think about the plan?" she asks and then turns facing me when I don't answer

 "Ace?!" she calls out again and starts snapping her fingers at me

 "are you not listening?" she asks a bit annoyed 

"uh-ya, okay the files..." I agree and nod my head acting as if I was listening this whole time

She smacks my arm playfully "Listen to meeeee" she groans putting her head down

I pull her down onto my lap, placing my hands on her waist as she wraps her arms around my neck with a smile 

"Ace I'm serious we have to look through these files before end of day" she tries to say in a serious tone

 "You make a good business woman, a hot one too" I say, leaning back in my chair

 "Well it wasn't my first career choice" she says rolling her eyes and turning on my lap towards the desk, looking down at the files and re-reading them.

 She hands over a few documents to approve but I don't bother taking a look at them, as I start to leave small kisses down her neck.

She throws her head back but then gains composure and pushes my hands off her. Giving me an angry look 

"Look over the files" she says turning to face me

I honestly couldn't even care less about work anymore.

Alexandra was the only thing I cared about.

"No" I simply answer 

"Yes" she forces 

"No"

 "yes"

 "Kiss me" 

"Ye-"I place my lips on hers which she immediately react to. 

Her soft luscious lips, I could never get enough.

The kiss is slow and sensual, we pull away and I brush my lips against hers and she slowly opens her eyes.

"I missed you" she breaths out 

"I missed you more" I reply and start leaving soft kisses down her neck

Knowing where her sweet spot was, the little dip between her shoulder and neck, I place wet kisses and she brings her hands up into my hair. 

She adjusted herself on my lap on purpose causing a sharp intake of breath. I suck on her sweet spot and she throws her head back, moving again. This time I let out a groan and I grip her hips with my hands, halting her movements.

"I won't be responsible for what happens next if you do that again" I say running my palms up her thighs and to her waist

She lets out a smirk as our lips find each other again.

Bitting her bottom lip, she lets out a gasp as out tongues find each other, fighting a battle. She starts to rock her hips against me making things a bit more aggressive.

Running my palms down and gripping her ass, I pull away trying to control things from going anywhere else.

Looking into her dilated and darkened eyes, I try my best to control myself but can't fully as I start to nibble on her ear 

"We better not go any further, don't wanna give the security guards a show" I whisper in her ear, brushing my lips against her jaw

Her eyes widen as she immediately pulls away "T-there are cameras in your office!?" she yells

 "Of course... there are cameras in your office too" I answer not sure how she never knew this as I point to the tiny camera at the corner of the room.

Her eyes widen even more "I never knew this!" Alexandra yells as she buried her head on my shoulder in embarrassment.

I can't help hide my smile at how cute she was. Then she realizes she was still straddling me and quickly gets up

Straitening her clothes, she turns to face me in a more professional tone

 "I was never told anything about cameras in the private offices, any who, I better get going since I'm basically done and need to get ready for tonight's event" she says

 "Okay but what about the files?" I question to the documents sitting on my desk that she wanted me to look over

 "You can do that on your own because you clearly can't keep your hands to yourself when I'm in here" she says raising her eyebrow at me 

"You can't expect work to be my focus when you're looking like that" I say walking up to her and leaning against my desk 

"It's called control Mr. Anderson" she winks 

"Alright, I have one last meeting then I'll meet you at the house." I answer grabbing the file she had laid on my desk and looking through it 

She turns around walking to the door and I follow her. Before she reaches for the door, she turns around quickly and smashes her lips with mine. I grab the back of her neck and deepen the kiss before we pull apart.

"One last time, for our fans watching" she says with a smirk and looks up at the camera

I smile at her craziness and open the door for her as she walks out.

Walking into the house, I stride up the stairs and enter the bedroom hoping to see Alex, but she wasn't in here... I saw her makeup on the counter which meant she already had changed and was maybe already downstairs. I go into the closet which was now shared by both of us. 

Ever since that night, Alex stayed in my room and we moved all her things from out of the penthouse and into my room.

I grab the suit that was dropped off this morning and place it on the chair, as I grab a towel and head into the bathroom. 

Taking a quick shower, I freshen up and wrap the towel around my waist once finished.

Looking over at the suit, I examine it and nod my head approving the navy blue colour that my PA Leila had chosen for tonight's event. I change into the suit and look at myself in the mirror as I gel my hair back.

Grabbing the black tie and placing it around my neck, I start to tie it but stop when I feel a presence behind me.

I turn and see Alex leaning against the door frame, wearing a short navy blue satin cocktail dress with a plunging neckline. 

The dress reached right around her mid thigh and the top part hung around her body and waist perfectly. Her hair was slicked back with a middle part into a ponytail.

She walks up towards me with an intense look in her eyes which replicated mine.

"Hey you" she says taking a hold of my tie

I place my hands on her waist and pull her closer to me

 "Hey you" I answer with a smile tugging my lips 

"You're looking incredibly handsome and dashing this fine evening Mr. Anderson" she says as I look into her hazel eyes

She starts to straighten my tie and I can't help but look down at her beautiful face. Her touch made me go crazy, as if I could never get enough.

I raise her chin and place my lips on hers.

"I can say the same for you" I answer as she took my breath away with the smile that formed on her lips

 "Are you calling me handsome, what a compliment" she says with a gasp raising her hand to her chest

 "The most handsome woman ever" I reply raising an eyebrow as she continues to straighten my tie

 "Why thank you" Alex answers with a laugh 

"I guess Leila colour coordinated our outfits for tonight" I say as we walk downstairs

 "hmm I guess she did" she says with a smirk, on second thought, maybe it wasn't Leila.

"Let's go before we're late" she says before we finally leave the house

Getting out of the limo, we walk up the stairs and enter the private opening night for Ace's exhibition at The Met art museum. This was a big night for him and there were so many people here.

Slipping my hand into his, we are greeted with the flashing lights of the paparazzi. We smile, posing for the camera before we walk away and enter through the doors.

Everyone looked so fancy and I noticed a few people whom we've worked with, and some people from the office.

Ace and I talk to a few people, thanking them for coming as they told us how excited they were to see Ace's final project. 

When it was finally time, Ace step up to a podium and said a few words about the project and what inspired him to do it. 

How he faced difficulties leading up to the moment which finally pushed him to complete it.

Then they opened the door unveiling the room with his work, the beautiful indoor garden that looked like a paining, yet you can walk in it.

It was even more gorgeous than that day I saw it before it was fully complete. Everyone was in complete awe, including myself.

I walked up to Ace and gave him a peck on the lips.

 "Congratulations my love, this looks wonderful" I say in front of others who were watching us, even though I meant my words

After a chatting a bit with a few more people, I notice David from the corner of my eye sitting near the bar. I turn to Ace and he looks down at me

 "Im gonna go see a few friends" I say and point my head towards where David was sitting

His eyes follow and immediately harden when he sees David. Ace looks back at me and his gaze softens, giving me a slight nod, he gives me a soft peck on the cheek before I leave his side.

Walking up to David, I smile at him and take a seat beside him

 "Hi old friend, it's been a while" I say with a smile (hey that rhymes :))

He gives me a soft smile back

 "Alex, nice to see you" he says plainly

David had been acting a bit strange for the past couple weeks... he wasn't really the bubbly and outgoing version of himself which was strange.

 He was more quiet and tried avoiding me which is what I noticed. I wasn't sure if I had done something wrong, or if he was upset... Maybe I was just overthinking, but I was hoping to find out tonight

 "Enjoying your evening so far?" I question 

"It's okay the garden looks amazing" he says pointing to the big indoor garden that we were sitting in. People were walking around it, there was fancy music playing and some people were dancing while others were drinking champagne and mingling. The indoor garden made everything look so magical, as if you were in a fairytale.

David gulps down the whiskey he was drinking and asks for a refill 

"Do you want anything?" he asks me

I turn to the bar tender "I'll have a glass of red wine, thank you" I tell him

We both get our drinks and I try to make more small talk with David but everything just ends quickly with his one worded replies.

 A few other of our employees from work walk up, including Leila and Emma and we all talk and order a few more drinks.

"By the way Alex, you two look amazing together tonight" Leila says near my ear.

I turn to face her "Thanks to you for helping me coordinate the colours" I smile at her

Leila and Emma were honestly the best PA's anyone could ask for! 

Time passes by before I feel an arm snake around my waist, immediately knowing who it was. There was only one person in this world whom made me feel things just from their touch.

Smiling, I turn my head and I'm greeted with the most perfect smile and eyes looking back at me

 "Hi there" I hum and place a kiss on his lips 

"Do you wanna dance" he asks

I nod my head and turn to see everyone in our little group, looking at us, including David.

Oops.. I forget they were here

I try to keep the blush from raising into my cheeks and nod my head at them when Ace pulls my hand, guiding me to the dance floor.

He places his hands on my waist and I place mine over his neck. Our close proximity made me feel like no one else was in this room as I only focused on Ace. He was so perfect. Caring. Loving.

"Are you enjoying your night?" he asks

 "I am, talking to a few friends, seeing and dancing in this beautiful garden, with you. What more could I ask for?" I say

He rests his forehead on mine "Im glad" he responds,

 it was truly a perfect night ..Well, almost perfect. Until we got to the ending where things just got f"cking messed up.
