"Im a bit disappointed" Ace says while driving 

"Why? David leaving is gonna affect the company in a negative way isn't it?" I ask starting to feel worry

 "No not that. I was hoping to be the one to fire him as soon as I walked through the office doors this morning" he says with a scoff

 "But the motherf*cker saw it coming and beat me to it" 

"Seriously Ace" I say raising an eyebrow 

"Isn't him resigning serious tho? I mean he's your business partner, a co-founder of Anderson tech. It's not gonna harm the company if he leaves?" I question

 "of course not." He says pulling up in-front of the Company doors

He puts the car in park and leans closer to me

 "We've already got thousands of applicants ready to take his place" Ace says with a smirk

I roll my eyes "Im not surprised, you always seem prepared for anything to happen"

 "Just not coming into work today... That I wasn't prepared for" he says pointing down to his sweatpants

I let out a laugh as we get out of the car. He intertwines his fingers in mine as we walk into the building together, in our lazy day look.

"Never in the history of Ace Anderson's life, have I ever come to work not wearing a suit. Let alone sweatpants" he continues 

"There's a first time for everything" I answer as we get into the elevator

Waiting for the elevator to arrive on our floor, I look behind me where the big mirror was and my eyes immediately widen in horror and shock.

"F*ck, Ace my neck!" I yell looking at the still bruised hickeys that were formed last night

I forgot to cover them before leaving the house since we were in such a rush. I turn to look at him and see the biggest smirk on his face 

"What's the problem?" he asks playing dumb

 "You assh*le, this is not funny. Its so unprofessional" I grunt trying to raise my hoodie neck higher as best as I Could

He grabs my waist and whisper close to my neck "Now people will be reminded that you're mine" he says huskily nibbling on my ear sending shivers down my spine.

I try not to let a moan escape my lips and pull myself together before the elevator doors opened

 "I think the wedding ring on my finger is a clear enough reminder" I answer raising an eyebrow 

The doors open and we get out, heading to our offices.

We're greeted by a few co-workers and with our PA's who were a little surprised to see us looking so casual compared to other days...

"Alex is everything alright?" Sarah my PA asks me in panic 

"Everything Is fine Sarah" I say with a smile and turn to Ace 

"We just didn't have time to change" Ace says letting out a sigh 

"Leila, is David still here?" I ask

 "Yes Ms. Anderson, he's in his office packing up" she says before turning to leave

I nod my head and turn to Ace "Your not gonna come?" I ask him

He shakes his head "You go. IIl probably end up punching him in the face again if I see him. It's better I don't go" he says with his lips turning into a thin line.

 He then touches my neck and pulls down my sweater a bit, I then realize what he was trying to reveal and slap his hand away "Ace" I warn

He wiggles his eyebrows and gives me a kiss on the lips 

"Besides, my mark is enough. Just proves as a reminder that you're mine" he whispers darkly in my ear

Feeling a burning sensation reach my stomach, I bite my lip and pull away before anything else happens. We were literally standing in the middle of the office with people all around us.

"Alrighty, I won't be long" I say before I turn to walk over to Davids office. I knock on his open door and see him turn around, standing in front of his desk with a box, packing his belongings "Alex?"

 "How's the face?" I question walking inside and standing near him, his cheek and nose was still a bit swollen but it didn't look as bad as last night

 "It's fine" he answers

 " I didn't think you were coming in early today" he continues saying after a moment

Disappointment grows on my face "So you were just gonna leave before we had a chance to talk?" I question

He lets out a sigh and takes a seat, burying his head in his hands "Im sorry about my actions from last night. I should have never said anything and I'm sorry again if I hurt you" he says looking up at me 

"David why are you leaving Anderson Tech? I understand you were just drunk last night and we can talk things through but there's no reason for you to leave-" he takes the conversation over quite quickly upon hearing my words 

"No Alex, even though I was drunk last night, I still meant every single darn word I said. It's all I've ever wanted to say to you from the moment I met you. I just never had the guts to say it to you and last night I did.

None of what I said was a lie and I want you to know that" he says with anger evident in his face

Taken a little aback, I was met with the harsh reality that he really did mean everything he had said last night.

"But David, you know I don't feel the same way. I've never felt the same way"

"That's why I can't stay here anymore. I can't hide my feelings and lock myself up. I can't lie to your face pretending like everything is fine when all I want is to be let free. Seeing you with him breaks my heart and I can't pretend like it doesn't anymore. 

It's too much to bare. So I'm doing what's best for me and for you, to just simply leave. Build myself a new life where I can focus on me." he says, standing back up and packing his boxes 

"We can work things out, you can continue working here David. You and Ace have been friends for-" 

"He's not my friend anymore and he made that very clear last time. Please Alex it's for our own good. I'm done being here. It's time we part ways anyway" he says looking at me, his gaze falls down onto my neck and lingers there for a moment.

 I realize what he was really looking at and my arm immediately starts to make its way to my neck as I awkwardly shifted in my spot. This snaps him away from his daze. With sadness in his eyes, he then quickly looks away and back down at his boxes

 "As you wish. Thank you for everything you've helped me through David" I say as he busies himself with packing his things

After feeling like I was being ignored, I turn around and head out the door but stop when I hear him speak "I-Im sorry our friendship had to end this way" he says

Contemplating on what to say, I decide not to turn around and continue moving forward out the door.

Walking back to my office, I stop at Ace's room and walk in, seeing him with Leila and a lawyer as they were looking through a few files.

I walk up to his desk and he looks up at me with a soft smile forming on his lips "How did it go?" he then asks 

"It's official, he's leaving. I wasn't able to reason with him" I simply answer 

"Ms. Anderson, since your here, would you mind looking through and signing these files" the lawyer says handing me over a few documents

 "What are these for?" I question, looking through the contracts

 "Sales of agreement to transfer Mr. David Zay's 5% share of the company over to you and Mr. Anderson" the lawyer confirms.

I nod my head and look through the contracts. After agreeing on a few numbers with Ace, we both sign the contracts and hand them back to the lawyer who then leaves the office after finishing everything she needed.

"Is there anything else Sarah or I can help you guys with?" Leila asks us

 "Are the applicants being reviewed?" Ace asks her 

"Yes, we have gotten many resumes this morning! The ones that were selected are to be interviewed at 1pm" she confirms. She was talking about the person they were gonna replace David with.

"Then that would be all. Thank you Leila" Ace says before she nods her head and leaves us alone in his office.

I take a seat beside Ace and notice I had a few more minutes to spare before my meeting started 

"Are you okay?" he asks with a concerned look

 "Ya, I mean I've had better days but I guess you just never know what to expect when it comes to life" I answer feeling sluggish

I wasn't happy with everything that had happened between David and I, it was also disappointing to think everything had to end this way but oh well. The only thing left to do was move forward with our lives.

"Why don't we go out to lunch today?" he asks

"In our sweatpants? Can we eat in here?" I whine and then ask feeling lazy about going out, especially to a restaurant

He lets out a little chuckle "Of course we can, I'll see you after your meeting then" he says and gives me a kiss on my cheek.

During today's meeting, I announced the new upcoming project that we had been working on for the past year now. 

Ace's company of course was mainly about creating new technology to modernize household items and other things we need and use in our day to day life.

I had gotten the idea that we should branch out to hotels as well. They would benefit from the new technology

Anderson Tech had created and it would sell well too!

After dealing with a few hotels, our site maps were approved and delivery as well installation would begin to start in a few hotels in Greece first. We mainly discussed the procedures and then talked about how I will be flying into Greece this week to make sure things are running smoothly and go over a few last minute plans with our new clients.

It was a bit weird when I was first proposed the idea of flying to Greece. Mainly since I've never had to do this before ever since I started working here at Anderson Tech but since we were now dealing with international hotel clients, it was a must that I go and make sure my project was running smoothly.

Ace was also busy running a few of his own projects so it looked like I would be going alone. Well I mean its only 2 days in Greece, I won't be gone for that long...

Wrapping up the way too long meeting, I make my way to Ace's office again and knock before entering. I don't see him in his office but I decide to go take a seat in his chair. A few moments later, he walks in with 2 bags of food.

"I brought food" he says holding up the bags

 "This is why I love you" I immediately say as he hands over a bag to me, feeling like I could taste the food just from the smell. I was so hungry.

"Jeez, would have thought it would be another reason but okay" he says

 "The s*x too. I love you because of the great sex we have" I continue saying clearly not thinking straight as I take out the delicious looking sandwich and take a giant bite. I probably looked like someone who hasn't had food in days. I let out a moan as I chewed my food. Prying my eyes open after my foodgasm, I'm immediately met with Ace's darker gaze.

"Don't talk about great s*x while moaning like that in front of me" he says shaking his head, trying to control himself

Just to be a tease, I take another bite and let out another moan.

"Alexandra" he warns, this time serious.

"Im trying so hard right now" he says with restrain

 "Why hold yourself back" I tease 

"Fine by me, the whole office can hear your loud ass screams when I take you here and now on the desk"

 "Hey I don't scream loud" I scoff 

"Oh really? Then who was the one screaming my name last night as I made you come, multiple times" he says huskily near my ear

I feel the burning sensation in my stomach return and the heat rises to my cheeks as his hand started to travel up my thigh. My breath gets caught in my throat as he turns my head and brushes his lips against mine.

"Im not sure" I breathe out 

"Then why don't we find out right now" he says

Hearing a knock on the door, we instantly pull away.

had never moved away so fast in my entire lazy ass life.

Feeling a bit startled too, we see Sarah my PA walk in.

"Alex I- oh. I'm so sorry to interrupt Mr and Mrs

Anderson" she says feeling the slight awkwardness, knowing she was probably interrupting something.

Ace also looked a little pissed and annoyed but I wave my hand at her and continue taking a bite of my sandwich

 "No you're not interrupting anything, come in!" I say

Ace glares at me and I ignore him as Sarah walks up to me

 "I was just going to do a little run through of your itinerary for your trip to Greece before I confirm the plane" she says

I wasn't sure if Ace knew yet, I didn't tell him about the trip to Greece yet. I turn to face him and see him relaxed 

"Leila told me" he starts to say as if he read my mind 

He continues "I was thinking we could turn this into a vacation, of course if you don't mind. We can spend a week in Greece, Leila said we can reschedule a few of our appointments and take the week off. Things are looking pretty settled here at the company too so why not take the time off and explore"

 "Really? Ace I would love that, but are you sure? I know with David leaving and all, it might not be the greatest timing to go on vacation-"

 "Alex don't worry, we've got everything settled here at

Anderson Tech" Sarah says with a smile

 "So what do you say?" Ace asks

A smile forms on my lips, "Let's do it...a week in Greece"

I breathe out feeling the excitement

 "A week in Greece" Ace repeats placing a gentle kiss to my temple
