"Still, why didn't you tell me, Violet?" She remembered asking her friend.
She could not believe that her friend kept that from her. But she guessed she could not blame her friend for wanting to protect her.
"At first, the doctors said we should not overwhelm you with too much information." Her friend recounted the past. "So, we let you regain your memories on your own."
She remembered having difficulty recalling some of her memories after the accident. The doctor had advised her that the trauma of losing her family could have caused it.
"But when I got better, why did you not say anything?" She asked her friend, wondering why she never mentioned it to her.
"Because... Andy..." Her friend still hesitated as she twisted her fingers before her as if debating whether to tell her.
"What is it? I'm sure that is not that bad." She tried to convince her friend.
