Noah's morning routine was a well-oiled machine, a symphony of familiar sounds and comforting movements that set the tone for her day. The first rays of dawn filtered through his bedroom window, casting a soft glow over the room. She stirred from her slumber, greeted by the gentle hum of her alarm clock.

Stretching her arms above her head, Noah let her gaze drift to the family photos on the walls, each snapshot capturing moments of joy frozen in time. A warm smile tugged at her lips as her eyes lingered on a picture of her parents, their expressions filled with love and pride.

The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted from the kitchen, a comforting scent that signaled the start of another day. Feeling a sense of purpose, Noah rose from her bed, the plush carpet beneath her feet grounding her amid the morning rush.

Entering the kitchen, she was greeted by the familiar sight of his mother, her hands expertly maneuvering pots and pans on the stove. The clatter of utensils and the sizzle of cooking created a harmonious melody that spoke of warmth and care.

"Good morning, sweetheart," her mother greeted her with a soft smile, her eyes crinkling at the corners with affection.

Noah returned the smile, a silent exchange of understanding and gratitude passing between them.

After a hearty breakfast shared with her family, Noah retreated to his room to prepare for the day. The mirror reflected a young man with determination in her eyes, though a hint of apprehension flickered behind them. She straightened his hoodie and sighed.

The sound of her siblings' laughter echoed through the house, filling Noah's heart with a sense of belonging. Their playful banter and shared moments of camaraderie offered a small escape from the challenges that awaited him outside the safety of his home.

When the bus arrived, Noah walked toward it, his steps faltering with a hint of hesitation.

The bus driver leaned out and shouted, "Noah, get your ass on this bus! I'm leaving you behind again!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir," Noah mumbled, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. She quickly rushed up the steps, but the moment she stepped inside, the entire bus fell silent, every pair of eyes locked on him.

As Noah awkwardly made her way down the aisle, whispers filled the air.

"Ain't no way it's the sped kid I seen a turkey ornament with your name on it in those special classes now that's crazy," one student muttered, their voice thick with disdain.

Another snickered. "Bro, why is his house so run-down? I could never."

"Same hoodie, every day," another chimed in. "What do you expect?"

Noah steeled her nerves and kept walking, eyes focused out the window.

"Hey, move to another seat," Brandon sneered from the back, his voice dripping with disgust. "I don't want you sitting here. I might catch something."

Noah scanned the bus. There were other empty seats, but he knew by the glares and whispers that no one else wanted her near either. "There's really no other seat," he said quietly.

Brandon rolled her eyes. "Then sit in the middle of the bus again. The driver's gonna get mad at you."

Noah hesitated. "Shiel' get mad at me again."

Brandon groaned dramatically. "Oh my God, why this bullshit always have to be me?"

Choker another student on the bus

ew Brandon you're talking to the flipper kid

Brandon it's not like I want to talk to him

Noah(internally) not him....

Noah's breaks her thoughts patience frayed. "I'm not bothering you, so why do you even care?"

Brandon sneered. "Because I don't want a hermaphrodite sitting next to me, In furthermore unlike you I rather keep my penis lmao."

Noah's hands clenched into fists, but he kept her voice steady. "Being trans and being a hermaphrodite are two completely different things."

"Whatever," Brandon snapped. "Just stop talking to me."

Noah bit back a retort, her mind screaming, You're the one who started talking to me, asshole.

After what felt like forever, the bus finally reached the school. As the students filed off, Noah began to descend the steps, only for Brandon to shove her from behind. Noah hit the ground hard, pain shooting through her knees as laughter erupted from the students. Even the bus driver let out a stifled chuckle.

But not everyone was laughing.

Lamar stormed over, grabbing Brandon by the collar and slamming him against the side of the bus. "You wanna tell me what that was?" Lamar growled, his voice low and dangerous.

Brandon, caught off guard, stammered. "It's his fault for sitting by me! He knew I was gonna mess with him anyway, so he had it coming!"

Lamar's grip tightened, fury flashing in his eyes. "By your logic, you knew this was gonna happen if I found out you were messing with him. So what's about to happen to you? Guess you had it coming, too." Lamar raised his fist, ready to strike.

A crowd began to form, the students buzzing with excitement.

The bus driver, noticing the commotion, yelled out. "Lamar, stop! Get away from him!"

Lamar didn't back down. "Where was this energy when Noah got pushed to the ground?" he snapped.

The bus driver scoffed. "He's a man. He should be able to take a little stumble."

"You know that's not what she is," Lamar shot back, his voice tight with anger.

"Damn kids think they can just change whatever nowadays Im not arguing with you," the driver grumbled. "Just go to class. I've got a route to finish."

As the crowd dispersed, Noah approached Lamar, rubbing her sore knees. "Hey, thanks, Lamar. I'm sorry I always put you in these situations Oh and I really really appreciate you for accepting me even after the change you know."

Lamar shrugged, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "Don't worry about it. We're friends, right? It's the bare minimum."

They walked through the bustling halls, passing by students lost in their own conversations.

Omara, fuming, glared at Rosar from across the room. "Bro, not only are you not supposed to bring cigarettes to class, but you're smoking in front of everyone? You're just asking for a suspension!"

Rosar leaned back in his chair, puffing out a cloud of smoke. "Relax, Omara. I'll put it out soon. Besides, the teacher's not here yet."

Omara's face turned crimson with rage. "Carlos, are you seriously not going to do anything about this?"

Carlos chuckled nervously. "Damn, she's fuming more than the cigarette smoke."

Omara whipped her head toward him, her intense gaze silencing his laughter. "Not the time, Carlos."

Carlos put up his hands in defense. "My bad..."

Omara crossed her arms, turning her glare to the other side of the room. "And wake up, Devin! You should've slept at home."

Devin groaned, slowly sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "Why are you so loud? It's barely 7:30, and I'm still digesting that shity cafeteria food. Let me live."

Nearby, Connor and Rin quietly read their manga, while others continued to chat.

Connor see I told you this Sakamoto days manga is peak like look at this fight choreography

Rin yeah it's good but I still think jujitsu kaizen is better

Connor debatable

Rumie just sits in the corner of her room with her hood up away from everyone

Noah leaned against her desk, muttering, "I swear, my battery's running low just looking at all these people."

Lamar smirked. "Just keep your head down and get through it. Nine more weeks, man. You'll survive."

"I guess," Noah sighed. "Let's just get this over with."

Suddenly, Chloe's voice cut through the noise. "Hey, guys... am I going crazy, or is everything going white?"

The room fell silent as everyone turned toward the window. A bright, blinding light poured in, growing stronger by the second.

Omara's voice was sharp. "Everyone, get out of the classroom. Now!"

But as they moved toward the door, they realized something was terribly wrong. The doors were gone.

Keith's voice trembled. "What the hell? Where are the-"

The light intensified, filling every corner of the room. Rosar, in a desperate attempt to escape, hurled a table at the wall, but it did nothing. The light was too bright, too overwhelming.

Noah shielded his eyes, but all he could see was white. She tries to hold her hand in front of her space and all she can still see is white Her heart raced, panic clawing at his throat as the girls screamed in terror. Lamar wrapped his arms around Noah, trying to shield her, but the light engulfed them both.
