Chapter: Confronting Predictions
---
The night had firmly settled in, and the clock in Adam's room ticked past 9 PM. The once-bustling space was now eerily quiet, with all his companions off pursuing their designated tasks. Adam sat alone at his desk, the dim light of the room casting long shadows.
Taking a deep breath, Adam reached for his phone and dialed a familiar number—Leo. He watched the screen as it rang a few times before the call connected.
"Adam?" Leo's voice came through, tinged with curiosity. "What's going on? Calling this late, is everything alright?"
Adam's tone was firm yet urgent. "Leo, can you and Susan come to my place immediately? It's important."
Leo hesitated for a moment. "Important? What's going on?"
"I can't explain over the phone," Adam replied, his voice dropping slightly. "Just come over as soon as possible. If you can't bring Susan, let me know, and I'll come to you."
